I'm almost finishing up my book "I'm Not A Rapper I Write Rhymez" about the beginnings of hip hop and how it all started from gang life and how it has changed- from Fashion-Graffitti-BreakDancing, etc. I have alot of literature as well for input if you'll like. I work for NYU. Google: Durty Rob Born and raised on the Lower East Side Alphabet City where it all went down in the early 80's as well. Peace!

If they were developing a series about the downfall of hiphop, it would be all about Jay-Z.
