In a few weeks it will be 2013. The holidays are just a few short weeks away from closing out, and the 4th Quarter of the music industry is almost ready to hang it up. This is the exciting time, though, because the albums manage to get churned out in the 11th hour, hoping to be Christmas gifts. Well, there are plenty of potential Christmas gifts on this list. While the Top Singles list has been full of the same faces for the past few weeks, it’s enough to get to know the projects enough to potentially buy them for yourself or as a gift. Check out this week’s picks.
Game Takes First Place…and Second Place Too
This coming week, Game’s Jesus Piece will arrive. With a combination of album leaks and #SundayService series tracks, Game’s been climbing all over the Top Singles list. He returns to the top spot with his Kanye West and Common collaboration “Jesus Piece,” the title track to his upcoming album. He also shows up at #2 with Lil Wayne, Fabolous, Big Sean & Jeremih on “All That” only to pop up again at #5 with the Kanye, Trae Tha Truth, Z-Ro, Paul Wall & Slim Thug posse cut, “Rollin.” The former #1 from last week, 50 Cent, arrives at #7 with Adam Levine and Eminem on “My Life.”
Lil Wayne Makes Multiple Cameos, J. Cole Rocks With Louis Vuitton
As previously mentioned, Lil Wayne made it to the list this week. Not only did he show up on Game’s track at #2, but he also assisted Ca$h Money affiliate Turk to close out the list at #10 with “Zip It.” Meanwhile, J. Cole is doing his thing as always. His extended track for “Louis Vuitton” came in at #3. This week. At #4 is Big Boi’s “She Hates Me” with Kid Cudi. Big Boi’s album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors also arrives this coming week. Meanwhile, T.I. pops back up at #6 with Andre 3000 on “Sorry,” just as Trouble Man is ready to drop December 18th.
