With the release of his sophomore album, O.N.I.F.C., now behind him Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa recently stopped by HOT 97’s The Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg Show to discuss his newly-released album, tour life, and his upcoming marriage.

When asked about the title of his album, which is an acronym for Only Nigga In First Class, Wiz revealed that the name of the project stemmed from his experiences thus far in the music industry.

“It’s like a state of mind. You can take it literally and you can take it figuratively as well because I come from less, but I am in a position where big people respect me,” Wiz explained in a video posted on NahRight.com. “I’m right there with them. I go shopping with them, I eat with them, I fly with them, I ride with them. My cars look like theirs and it’s like I don’t get treated exactly like they do. So it’s my experience of being new to this environment.”

Wiz also spoke on touring with his Taylor Gang crew as part of the 2050 Tour and commented specifically on his relationship with Lola Monroe, the lone female emcee on the tour.

“At the end of the day we work together, we chill together, we have fun together, and that’s it,” said the rapper in regards to Lola Monroe. “There’s no possibility of anything with anybody in our group because there’s other guys on the tour too.”

O.N.I.F.C. was released on December 4 via Atlantic Records and features guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Pharrell Williams, The Weeknd, and more.
