Shortly after releasing his new mixtape A Loose Quarter, Joe Budden is setting his sights on his upcoming album No Love Lost, releasing on January 22. During an interview with Hard Knock TV, Jumpoff Joey revealed some of the features on the LP, stating that he’s landed collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Lloyd Banks, Kirko Bangz and more.
“I got some features that fans that have followed me wouldn’t be accustomed to me having. I threw it very outside of the box,” he said. “I got a record with me, Lloyd Banks and Juicy J. I got another record with me, Wiz and French [Montana]. I got another record with Kirko. I got another record with Omarion. I probably have never worked with as many people as I did on this project, and that goes into the album title No Love Lost. I’ve been doing things different throughout my entire career and I’m just kind of a one-man wrecking crew.”
He also gave props to a few up-and-coming New York emcees, stating that rappers like Joey Bada$$ and A$AP Rocky inspire him to be better himself. “It’s dope. I’m all for the young energy, it inspires guys like me. Joey Bada$ is a badass. He’s nice. A$AP probably has my favorite record out right now, ‘Fuckin’ Problem.’ Love that record. Anytime you can get a different type of energy from cats – the fact that they’re from New York is a plus, it’s a bonus. I don’t hear that when I listen to them. I just hear good music.”

He also revealed that he once considered doing a project titled Feature Presentation where he enlisted guest features from some of his favorite artists. He managed to get a verse from Blu and Elzhi, but ended up having to squash the idea after Eminem rallied the Slaughterhouse troops to record their sophomore album.
“Shit, I still have those tracks. Blu sent the verse, Elzhi sent the verse… I was going to do a project called Feature Presentation where I was going to get with all the guys that I regard as being some of the illest emcees on the planet,” he said. “Those are two of the people I reached out to and they sent a verse, and as soon as those verses started to come, Em called us all and said, ‘It’s time to go.’ … I don’t even know if I would even want to insult them and put those verses out after they sent them so long ago.”
