It turns out that Nicki Minaj’s biggest difficulty with her “American Idol” judge position isn’t Mariah Carey.

“They’re very long days,” explained Nicki to “E! News.” “I’m not really used to having to show up somewhere at a specific time,” added the Young Money Star

NIcki continued, explaining how the “Idol” job meant having others depending on her. “I kinda been my own boss for a few years, so this is like adding discipline back in my life. This is adding that strict regime of having to do something. Everybody’s affected by what I do.”

In addition to her work on “American Idol,” Nicki is releasing the third installment of her Pink Friday debut titled The Re-Up, out on November 19.
