One night at Gary’s Penthouse in New York City a few weeks back, the city’s most influential music bloggers and other notable industry figures were introduced to Ubisoft’s new hit game, The Hip Hop Dance Experience. The event was a pretty sweet time, complete with the musical musings by DJ J. Period, soul food for the guests, and a number of game demo stations where they could burn off all that grub by getting down with one of the game’s 30+ tracks. Notable attendees included former HipHopDX blogger/writer and 2DopeBoyz.com co-founder Meka, as well as brand ambassadors LowKey from Complex Media Network partner site YouHeardThatNew.com, Jeff and Eric Rosenthal from ItsTheReal.com, rapper Jean Grae, deejays Kast One and Envy.

The evening was hosted by two of our favorite radio personalities, Angela Yee from Power 105’s Breakfast Club and Miss Info of Hot 97 FM. It was also captured on film, much to the delight or dismay of the evening’s participants, depending on how awesome or awful their moves were. To check out all the good time boogieing that went down, be sure to watch the video here.

And if you’re looking to get in on the Experience yourself, The Hip Hop Dance Experience is available for all on November 13, for both Xbox and Wii.
