Kanye made Jay-Z who he is. Before Belueprint came out, no one looked at Jay-Z as a legend. He was just a successful commercial rapper. Reasonable Doubt didn't go Platinum until after Blueprint was released. Kanye's production on H to the Izzo was what made Blueprint such a resounding success. Jay-Z has been riding Kanye's coattails ever since. Kanye made Jay-Z. Jay-Z owes his legendary status to Kanye. Kanye also happens to be a YMCMB affiliate. Basically, if not for YMCMB affilates, Jay-Z would be a washed up rich rapper today.

How is Kanye a YMCMB affiliate when he existed before them? He's the one who influenced Drakes career by releasing 808's. Matter of fact YMCMB needs him, which is why Wayne continues to have Kanye produce his album Im Not A Human Being 2.
