Canibus Updates Status Of "Rip The Jacker 2 DVD," Says It's "Without A Doubt My Last Album"

Exclusive: Canibus addresses the delays of his 10,000 bar project and promises a new release date. He releases a statement that also directs answers to those seeking a refund.

In the last week, HipHopDX was contacted by several buyers of Canibus' forthcoming Rip The Jacker III DVD. Also called "RTIIIfinity," the project, first announced in Spring, is being self-released by the veteran emcee through his website, CanibusCollection.com. Buyers reported that after ordering the still to-be-released DVD, it was not delivered in the time promised. Additionally, the account associated with the purchase was unreachable to provide buyers with a refund.

HipHopDX contacted Canibus' management last Friday (November 2) for a statement and update on the project. This morning (November 9), Canibus released a lengthy explanation to his fans and supporters. 'Bis addressed the delays and those seeking a refund. He also promised some consolation content, in addition to declaring that this album, a sequel to his 2003 effort of the same name, will "without a doubt" be his last.

The full statement is as follows:

"This update is for the RTJ IIIFINITY DVD orders. At this moment the RTJ II project is a work in progress. The RTJ Team and myself have made sure to update the fans on the status of the RTJ IIFINITY DVD's.

The latest update can be found here.

An exclusive RTJ IIIFINITY snippet LP can be downloaded here:

Next, I'd like to thank Jake Paine at HipHopDX for his offer to help clear some things up for the fans going crazy anticipating their orders. While I'm always grateful for the love HipHopDX has shown me over the years, it's become increasingly difficult to sustain a growing consumer base in music these days with the tools available to a privately owned and operated business. To be brutally honest, this is without a doubt my last album and that's why it is crawling towards completion. Nothing is perfect but it has to be a definitive classic to further define the catalogue of Canibus albums released to date. There have been numerous obstacles both professional and personal that have slowed the results I have been known to meet time and time again regardless of particular circumstances, whether the product released was backed by a music label or not. For this RTJ II project it seems there is not enough time in a day, commitment to a cause or worth in a dollar to easily overcome the obstacles that have presented themselves. Ten hours of music with video plus many other special features spread out between 2 DVDs is an incredibly ambitious feat alone notwithstanding the challenges of creating something that has never been done before in music history. I am not looking for special treatment I am just trying to communicate my opinion in the importance of this project. No man is an island. I have a team that has arduously continued to push this to the goal line and I am asking my fans who've supported so many of my prior efforts including this project from the very beginning for more patience.

Regarding the inquiries about refunds:

I sure wish that I had gotten a DVD order for even 1% of YouTube views I've gotten over the last 6 months and I wouldn't even blink at the request for a full refund. However, because of the need to outsource work and solicit for donated beats, the funds for some 430 orders have and are being used to facilitate the project itself. Without auditing myself to prove that each order is almost the bare minimum necessary to create, complete and deliver a final product, let me assure you that I am by no means living some lavish lifestyle off of my fans and am doing the best that I can. To put it shortly. I will live up to my promise of delivering RTJ 2 INFINITY no later than the 2nd quarter of 2013. In the meantime and between time there will be 1,000 layered bars available for download in the December 2012. I know the anticipation is eating away at the hardcore fans but it will be well worth the wait!

All I ask of you are two things:
1) that you believe in my abilities as an emcee who has inspired many over the years to be the best they can for God, Country & International Hip Hop Music.

2) Please give me the time that I need to complete this project according to the artistic, esoteric standards and cerebral quality that many fans have come to appreciate since 1998.

Thank You,
Bis

Face it its 2015 and the old washed up has been lied about his promise to deliver no later than 2013. Keep it real he used all that money to fund his smoking habits and probably gas money. He is getting checks for his past work but once that runs out he will end up being the same old washed up has been that he is. Feel sorry for any fan that spent $75 on something that will never see the light of day. Someone needs to beat the shit out of him once they see him for being a snake. All his knowledge is from Coast 2 Coast radio & Bobby Hemmitt/Brother Panic Lectures. How do u go from being Metaphysical/Occult Science then convert back to worshipping the Blonde Hair Blue Eyed jesus. What a fake. All of you don't trip off that silly $75 he probably needs it. Just dont buy anything else he tries to sell to you. If it isn't in the stores then he will rob you.

  • gwjpiWG

not a single update or announcement since this article. according to his facebook, he's moved on to other projects. HHDX needs to write a follow-up article and let people know whats going on so they'll think twice before giving money to this cat

  • thirdeye718

Peace to god, RTJ2 will be a monumental accomplishment when it does come out. Take your time Bis, no need to stress these silly fly by night fans. Us true hip hop heads know youre the greatest.

    • YouAWeakBish

Nah you are a hardcore dickrider. Fuck this gap tooth weird looking mufucka. He should use all that money to fix his fucking teeth lmfao. LL Cool J was right. He does get all his information from the internet and puts it in a rap to act like hes Godlike. When it came to being godlike in a battle he choked. Like Dizaster said: "Yeah I choked in a battle, but this guy choked at life."

  • Cole Bennett

UPDATE - still have not heard from dude on this album and it was purchased 4/10/12....ridiculous!!! So pissed PP won't refund my money!!!

  • Trenton Poet Laureate

Canibus, the greatest writer & rapper ever in modern times. Your biggest fans know what happpen & why. PEACE

  • Dave

Canibus took everyones money and ran. What kind of person would rip off all his fans who stood by him after all the stupid shit that he pulled....canibus would thats who. I'm glad you made a fool out of yourself.

  • Anonymous

Your a fraud Canibus. Stealing peoples money. Just make an update

  • Brandon

It's June 20th, 2013 and still no updates or any release date for RTJ:II glad I didn't pre-order it, pre-order the album today and you'll be waiting 2 infinity for a release...

  • David

The reason why theres a delay is because his plan to use that battle to promote his music back-fired on him and he had to redo the rhymes and concept, chances are he wanted to sample parts of the battle to use in the songs. "After Dizaster", thats how he had it planned out, spit a bunch of bars from the album to promote and try to come off like a genius or something, thats why that battle went side-ways on him, I guess he figured he could show up to a battle and use the time on it like free air-time as if everyone will be on his dick going crazy for Canibus rhymes smh. Sorry but fuck Canibus, he didn't have the heart to battle like a man, coming from a guy who does nothing but drop names talking shit for a studio -- a guy who basically built a name for himself by using battle raps showed no respect for Hip Hop and battling, I was a hardcore fan but Im disillusioned, Im not a dickrider clown, I lost all respect for him. Only way he'll restore himself is by getting back in there and battling and until that happens he might as well be Lil Wayne.

    Guessing it's not coming out

  • jc

Years...and I do mean years after this album drops you will find lines you didn't notice before. So meticulous with it, but for those who do understand and appreciate the true art they understand it.

  • James

Take your time 'bis. I bought RTJ00 on preorder, and am looking forward to it. Don't rush that. It going to be food for thought. Hope you're doing good out there.

  • Anonymous

Dont talk about that battle you assholes. Listen man, I'm one of those many youtube views, im at least a couple hundred of them, biggest canibus fan. Yet again, bis adresses us in a professional and cool headed manner regarding his work. The only problem here is the lack of support, me and my buddy have yet to order the album though because who knows if its even coming out? Only 430 orders? I mean that makes me wanna contribute, but do you need the pre order money to release it? Anyway, this is fucked up. really fucked up, i dont feel good about it.

  • niggas

so many deep and hardcore bars Canibus be spitting, but couldnt spit a decent one at the battle....smh. Never seen any rapper get bodied so bad in battle rap.

    • Dan Smith

Really thought Canibus was doing good till he blanked out and wanted to use the pad? I don't know why everyone said he got destroyed, yeah he was losing at that point but def not getting killed. I thought he came with some funny shit, and it's not like he was using the notepad from the beginning...he already admitted defeat so what's the big deal??

  • Dan Smith

Damn, I still support Bis till the end even after Dizaster battle...but shit keeps getting more depressing. I'm not sure which is worse a)This RTJ project, that I thought for sure finally was gonna make it out by this December, is getting delayed another six months b)That only 430 people bought this masterpiece of an album c)Bis is retiring. I thought he was supposed to be all about INFINITY...and that he would put it down until he was like 50 at least. Old school legends like KRS and Chuck D still drop shit at an older ag

"except it wasn't a freestyle battle" Dizaster was freestlying. Not sure what Canibus was doing.

    • Anonymous

how do you know if Dizaster was freestyling or not. How can you verify it? How do you know these people aren't just good at memorizing material before and than just sound like they are freestyling. Also canibus performace was poor ,but at least was honest about his material, and show that he wasn't a good freestyler. First your statement is subjective and your lack of comprehension of what canibus actions maybe due to your bias of peoples ability to perform in a freestyle battle.

  • SEK2NUN

Bis, you were never meant to appeal to the masses nor should you have tried. If ya did appeal to the masses then you wouldnt be doing hiphop justice by trying to be one of the so many commercialized "CHARACTERS" that are pushed out of the corporate assembly line. The day BIS retires, apart of HIPHOP retires 2.

    • Yo

AMEN! I know one day hell be appreciated probably after he dies which is sad but the truth, if rap ever returns to what it was and ppl dig up canibus shit in like 50 years, no doubt hell be appreciated as the best lyricst ever but for right now buncha fukin clowns in the game. "who ever signed u must be runnin the circus cause u a clown" ahah cmon son

  • Guy

I will defiantly just give up on Hip Hop if Canibus retires. Canibus is the GOAT!!!

    • soundwave 1

the album is $60 + 15 four shiping + canibus t shirt. now if he sold 430 and the album cost $10 then that would be sad. bottom line your getting 10 hours of video and music thats like 10 albums!

    • jc

You know what...I'm feeling the same way. Just imagine. 15 years from now, this album will still be amazing and played but there won't be anything else out there to compete or even touch it on any level. With him retiring, it doesn't leave many that will be worth the listen because even those artists (you know who they are if you don't listen to mainstream) they will be out the picture in about the same amount of time too. I just don't know anymore, once the teachers go everyone forgets what they were taught?

  • BIG GRIM REAP NIGGA

Well, this is what happens when you spend your entire career bitching about mc's rather than focusing on making good songs.

  • J

Bis is one of the best and it would suck if he stopped.

  • anonymous

bis needs to stay in the game... too many weak niggas real lyrics will always be appreciated. the real hip hop heads know he gets busy.

  • Anonymous

last album? if canibus puts the mic down i may stop listening to hip hop altogether. this is heart wrenching

  • Rawthentication

& fo tha record i aint bought an album for years, but shiiiiiiiit!!!

  • Rawthentication

yo as an avid hiphop fan, no shit, this is fuckin heartbreakin. not the fact of retiring, the fact that Bis talking about the what, 430 people who pre-ordered & some of them wanting a re-fund, understandably...but 430? smh...that battle with diz was def not a good look, but 4 fucking 30? thats a joke, & i say that with no disrespect to bis...nigga need to let me know where i can pre-order this shit though for real! bis' contrubution towards hip-hop & rap will not be forgotten by the real heads...where can i pre-order this shit from though??

    • Yo

Yea he needs better advertising lol like wtf 430 ma boy bis is too beast for that. And he needs to rematch that bitch dizaster,

  • fart

after that battle i lost the last big of respect i had for canibus as an artist...he looked like a fuckin baffoon...and dissapointed his "fans" as usual...canibus second album was sooooooo disappointing i literally remember yanking it our my car radio and throwing it out the window of my car as i drove!!! i would never pay for anything he makes again

    • Anonymous

your dumbass is talking about his second album (2000 BC) well if he was wack then, then tell me, why in the fuck are you still on his dick riding his career? by the way 2000 bc was ahead of its time for you fake wanna be hip hop fans. fuck a battle, if you're a true fan of hip hop (and I mean real hip hop, not that radio shit) then you would appreciate what CANIBUS does for the culture, and how he never gave up on putting real hip hop out there. therefore if you're a fan of real hip hop, then he never gave up on us either. ps. its sad that I have to put "real hip hop" when technically its just "hip hop", but when you got wack wannabe artist saying thier hip hop, thats when it becomes fake.

    • Yo

LOL ur a complete idiot and you know nothing about rap. Get out please

  • Yo

BIS please retire my dude, its str8 up my BS. Ill obviously hate to see you go but screw it, these rap fans nowadays, most of them, dont know literally ANYTHING to do with lyrics thats why a buncha ppl hate you. If they cant understand what makes you one of the best ever, lyricism, then they cant connect and its sad. Dey think they know what lyrics are and it reflects it the "battles" that go on today. When u ripped DIZ apart before you forgot the rest of your rhymes, people were clueless thinkin this goof was killin u with lame ass highschool jokes he was droppin. So yea its fair for u to retire i think. Uve been hated my soo many dumb ppl it really sux but w.e. just keep in mind that when people one day will be intune with rap and the music is coming out like in the 90s, they will look back and say DAMNNNNN Bis is the best lyricist to do it. AND for whoever thinks canibus isnt the illest lyricist, look up this fat joe interview where he talks about pun always respected dude and seen him as stiffest lyrical competiton.

    • Yo

Good one... u obviously dont know anything about rap if u think canibus albums are trash maybe if u listen to them and not just read about what ppl say... but even then your knowledge of rap would prevent you from understanding, go listen to 2000BC and learn something

    • Waxxy Gordon

It has to do with everything. Canibus was a beast when Pun was alive and everyone had him on their songs and albums. Since then? Few, if any, memorable features and a slew of trash albums. 'Bis didn't fall off - he fell under.

    • Yo

What does that have to do with anything>? And actually yea pun would be very impressed i dont understand what ppl are tryna say. Yeah canibus fell off cause the pace he came out he was slappin legends around with his lyrics thats impossible to keep up when the legends died along with the spirit of rap and there was no need for artist to try and keep their game at their peak cause 99% of artist that came out were weak as fuck. Thats why everyone fell off at least a little. Nas.Canibus.Jay.DMX.Camron.Jadakiss. i can keep going forever

    • Waxxy Gordon

Pun died 15 years ago, pretty sure he wouldn't be too impressed at this point.

  • RT00

Its funny that Canibus is the most talented lyricist in Hip Hop but also the most hated. People hate what they cant understand or something that threatens their comfort zone or favorite faggot ass artist the like. we judge rap by the lyrics fuck what you dick riders think!

  • Anonymous

I would quit too, why be a part of Hip hop anymore? The fans are pieces of shit that dont respect art and hate almost everything. Bis music belongs to the future not the current generation of mindless hateful Hip Hop fans. Plus it wont matter anyway after he releases this 10 album project that can be remade and remixed in almost infinite ways he wont need to release anymore music, fuck hip Hop fans and respect to Bis. Hip Hop God! Peace

  • Anonymous

Canibus is acting like he's been putting out 3 albums a year for decades. This is your job dipshit. It's supposed to be demanding. If it wasn't, everyone would do it. Sounds to me like he's lost the motivation to continue. That shit will happen when you lose a freestyle battle to Dizaster who completely embarassed him.

    • Anonymous

He is about to put out an album that is 10 albums long and prolly more intricate then any piece of art ever created. I think he deserves to retire after that. Stop being a condescending dick head.

    • Anonymous

can-i-bus was a disappointment for the time, but i'd rather listen to that than 90% of the overhyped trash debuts coming out from rap's "best" today. canibus at his worst > meek mill at his best and canibus sold more records. how bout that.

    • Anonymous

A classic example of what a flop sounds like

  • Yssup Kidz

So lets say he's asking for $20 a pop... 430 x $20 = $8600 Sad... But delaying this so called classic is smart. After that "dizaster" of a battle, i would distance my shit from that event as long as i could too!

That's weak. Give people they're money back already. They've probably been second-guessing they're purchase anyway, since the video of that battle with the notebook (that didn't even help -'understatement') came out.

  • Mr. Awesome

I fucks wit' Canibus SUPAHEAVY, but let's keep it real here. Canibus disappointed EVERYONE with his horrific performance in the Dizaster battle, which I think is the icing on the cake of one of the biggest failures in hip-hop. I'm always gonna love (most of) his music, but he's made some ridiculously horrible decisions alllll throughout his career, amongst other things. Dizaster musta cut him deep when Diz told him to his face why he's a loser, which led us to all find out he sucks at battling and can't freestyle for shit at all. I remember wondering if he was freestyling a lot of the shit he spit on radio shows and whatnot; it's so disappointing knowing it was all written (still dope though). This DVD shit makes it even worse to me b/c it's bad business, and unless it turns out to be the greatest album of all time, that's a hugely dick move. Canibus, I'm still pullin' for you, cuz I think you're one of the greatest to ever do it, but get it together or just gtfohwtb..........

    • Anonymous

and everybody you just named is either wack as fuck or washed the fuck up. those battles are pathetic. retard shit.

    • Cealix

Who watches and cares about those battles? At the top of my head: Eminem Crooked I Royce Diddy Busta Cassidy Jay Z Drake Mistah Fab And obviously Bus

    • Anonymous

Your an idiot. If you know anything about rapping you know that crafting songs and battling are completely different talents. I'm a bis fan but "made his mark?" Those 'white nerds' you speak of are the only ones who still knows who he is. The LL battle was a long time ago. Furthermore, Bis is a great lyricist but he isn't a great songwriter in the slightest. He always came across like a great battle mc that struggled to dumb it down but the Diz battle robbed him of the last of his aura. He proved he's just a talented written freestyler best suited for 4 min hookless mixtape tracks, underground radio freestlye hours. Considering his talent bis is just sad.

    • Anonymous

yeah and who watches and cares about those battles. white nerds and dudes that can't make records for shit. iron solomon is a beast on those circuits. guess what. he's a talentless nerd when it comes to making a decent song with a good rap over a good beat. bis made his mark. i'm sure you'll be reliving those dizazter battles 10 years from now greyed out with youtube. rock on man.

    • Cealix

To dude above me griping about "real battles" going to the beat: You, my friend, have been absent the past 7 years in terms of rap battles. Smack, Jumpoff, WRC, Grindtime, KOTD, URL, and Don't Flop are the leaders of the rap battle Leagues. The last time I heard a couple people battle on beat was during Scribble Jam, and shitty Freestyle Fridays. No one battles on beat anymore because they realized they all sound the same. Quit living in the past because rap battles have been the only type of hip hop that hasn't fallen off.

    • Anonymous

who cares. real battles have beats. real battles have flows rocking to the beat. dizaster will never make another wave in his life. he's a wigger joke insulting ppl acapella. canibus has classic music. i guess ali was a joke when he was getting beat up late in his career. that wiped away his legacy, right? canibus will always be dope. period.

  • dRob

Oh my god...He took people's money without given them what he was selling? I've been a major Canibus fan since high school, but this is embarrassing.

Bis always had talent but his incessant & relentless dick riding turned me off from dude. Nobody likes a crybaby. It's like once I found out what a douche bag Terrell Owens was in real life I had a hard time cheering for him no matter the talent. BIS, there's new comments/posts every week about people still wanting to preorder the album ! People are funny - Canibus has pushed the envelope every time ! That is as real as it gets, putting it all on the line & always being true to the fans/himself with out letting outside politics (selling out/conforming) in! That is as REAL as it gets. I really wish that the people who condemn him would download his last 4 albums (FOR WHOM THE BEAT TOLLS/MELATONIN MAGIC/C OF TRANQUILITY/LYRICAL LAW) to see where this genius can take your mind. Saying that anyone is the best is a personal opinion BUT Canibus is in a league of his own for sure - no1 can hi-jack & take your mind to the places that his intelligence/willingness/creativity/focus can!

^^^^ Bis brought it on himself by being such a negative crybaby and attempting to build his career on the hatred he has for more succesful people. He shouldn't expect better treatment himself. He records peoples phone calls, digs up 8 year old beefs for promotional tactics and in general cries about everything.

    • cdr

for whom the beat tolls is incredibly underrated. LAYERED PRAYERS wow mind bending shit. these idiots would rather fall in line and joke on bis for his failures. ppl actually celebrate failure in hip hop. what other genre does that? unfortunately rap can appeal to the biggest low lives on the planet.

Canibus Em feud should have never happened. Its weird, because he was supposed to be on C's second record but denied. There is only two things I can think of why - label politics, or he was scared Canibus would upstage him, which Canibus was doing to everyone at the time (hurting LL's feelings).

    • dRob

Exactly, Canibus always picks stupid ass beats. "Rip The Jacker" was his best album and it was made w/o his input from acapellas while he was in Iraq. "Phuk You" sounds like something off my MPC when I was first starting.

    • Anonymous

Em was supposed to be on that song "Phuck U", he probably heard the beat and threw up all over the studio. Bis should have sent him something better. In the one and only Em interview I ever heard him talk about this, like 12 years ago on tim westwood show, he said Bis sent him the track and he didn't do it because the beat sucked. It wasn't personal, I wouldn't have rapped to that bullshit either, lol

  • Sensaye

Canibus is one of the nicest MCs of all time. Let's just be honest and say it...you have to be smart to like Canibus. He makes reference to so many obscure things and puts together such complex bars that the average idiot nowadays that listens to rap music is not gonna understand a word he's saying. They just think he's saying a bunch of big words. For those of us who can actually think a little bit, we know Canibus is a fuckin' monster. Pardon me for soundin' like a pompous prick, but it's true.

    • wu wear

No doubt. I actually REALLY enjoyed the first few years of his career when he dominated the hip hop world. Every album he dropped made me less and less interested though. Respect.

    • Sensaye

That's kinda true, I can't even front. But I can overlook those things when it comes to Canibus, and just appreciate what he does. That's why he does so many songs without hooks. He's not a song writer. He's a spitter, plain and simple. I could listen to an acapella album of his and enjoy it. How many rappers can you really say that about? Personally, I'm more of a connosuier of great lyrics, because nowadays any asshole can make a dope beat, the technology makes it easy. But there's no technology that can substitute for a ill MC. I never claimed Canibus was a stand up guy or didn't do stupid shit off the mic. But I'm not tryin' to date the nigga, I just wanna hear some bars. 1.

    • wu wear

You also have to enjoy wack beats, monotonous flows, and ass choruses.

Damn only 430 orders so far... Is it even worth doing?

  • Jus10

Damn, Bis. Perfectionism is eating you up alive. Finish this project, take time off and appreciate life and people, and accept it for what it all is. Love will return with rest. Music should be natural, not an obsticle to overcome, nor does it have to be perfect, that's the beauty of art. You don't have to play Superman. YOU'VE BEEN INTELLIGENT, NOW BE SPIRITUAL.

LL Cool J tore him up, Em let him know his career is dead, and Diz made sure he couldn't get back up. And any fucks who still think Canibus' first verse was better than anything Diz said in that battle should be shot at.

    • Jus10

"...should be shot at." Look how corny hiphop is. Don't front like it ain't all this other BS that you listen to that makes you talk like that. Why should anyone be shot at? Because some people prefer music that appeals to one's central thoughts over the peripheral?

no one cares about dizaster. i don't know any respectable adult that spends time buying PPV battles featuring other adults trading insults with no rhythm acapella. the battle culture of today is pathetic. unfortunately bis did it for a pay day. ll cool j is acting full time. eminem is a depressed bubble boy living in a shell. there's an end of the road for every man. canibus put out legendary work and is always going to be known as one of the nastiest lyricists ever at one point or another. bis enjoy your life brother. unplug from the matrix, the fan expectations and pressures. maybe bis will return to music one day on his terms. be well canibus. for all the hate you recieve, you'll always have some that support and recognize your output. "he said "one of these days all eyes will be on me when they look up in the sky, and see the neon C"

Lyrics are to smart for you corny ass Eminem dick riders

    • @lol

If I want a creative, cohesve album I'll listen to OutKast. If I want something to think about, or something competitive I'll listen to 'Bis. Not every artist has to follow the same blueprint.

    • Lol

Typical Bis fanboy. Yeah he has lyrics, but can't make a cohesive album for shit.

  • danny

So that link he posted is dead, like his career. Great rapper at his best, absolutely liability and a bit of a weirdo at his worst.

  • shame

the comments below are why i understand canibus is done trying to satisfy hip hop fans. bis deserves better. gave his life to this and yet there's always going to be disrespectful losers online that get pleasure out of kicking him when he's down. can-i-bus you are a LEGEND and i thank you for all the blood sweat and tears you've put into your work. be well bis!

I'm glad this wack ass nigga is retiring... Take your notepad and go home bitch... Anyways, JA RULE is where it's at.

  • OHYS

Canibus is a legend, I hope this is not the case.

  • Anonymous

YES HE'S RETERING!! NO MORE LISTENING TO HIM DISS THE ONLY TWO RELEVANT RAPPERS THAT GIVE HIM PROPS JUST CAUSE HE'S BITTER AND NEEDS ATTENTION! No more hearing about how great of a rapper he is, even though he has a terrible flow, can't pick a good beat, can't ride a beat, can't freestle, can't write songs, can't battle rap (unless we are talking nonexistant targets in his "songs") etc.

peace to canibus. the enigma. such a legend. it's truly a shame to see the disrespect he's encountered over the years. he's had his blunders but he gave his LIFE to the arts. i for one will always be grateful of the legendary mic skills of a true genius, rip the jacker. hope bis can find some kind of peace in life, i don't see how he can walk away from the rhyme book. maybe he's just walking away from the business, and the fans. those 2 things grow increasingly difficult each passing year. the doubters probably thought this day was coming after he launched his debut. he survived for a LONG time with no help and no backing. thanks germaine williams, aka canibus rip the jacker, the poet laureate. history will be kind to his legacy. he delivered some incredible rhymes in his time. PEACE CANIBUS! GOD BE WITH YOU BROTHER!

    • Jus10

Canibus is the lyrical, modern day Van Gogh. His abstract thinking is what made the art, but it's what's also tearing him apart.
