Fans and columnists reacted in outrage when a video of Chicago rapper Lil Reese beating a woman in a video clip leaked online earlier this week. 

Initially, Lil Reese responded on Twitter by calling the people who uploaded the video “haters,” and confirming that it was him (albeit several years ago).

Now, Lil Reese has changed his tune and apologized for his actions.

Reese took to Twitter, explaining that he had made a “mistake,” was “out of character,” and has matured since.
