The Hip Hop community joined forces to pay their respects to the late Chris Lighty.

Q-Tip and Phife Dawg patched up their differences to run through their A Tribe Called Quest classic “Award Tour” as a picture of them and Lighty towered in the background. The ended the performance by having the audience put their L’s up in honor of Lighty.

“If it wasn’t for Chris, you wouldn’t hear music like this,” said Tip, bringing out Busta Rhymes for “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See.” Bus-A-Buss ran through the track wearing a shirt with the Violator symbol on it, stating, “If it wasn’t for no Chris, there wouldn’t be no this.”

Fat Joe was next to grace the stage, performing Terror Squad’s “Lean Back” as Busta filled in with ad-libs. Missy Elliott appeared to run through “Get UR Freak On,” while 50 Cent closed the set with “I Get Money.”
