Gary, Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs may be signed to Young Jeezy’s Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE), but that may be one of few similarities the two emcee’s share. During an interview with Fuze It, Gangsta Gibbs revealed that while he and Jeezy do boast different styles in their music, they both share the same work ethic.

“We definitely got two different styles of working or what not. One thing we got in common is probably work ethic,” said Gibbs in a video posted on NahRight.com. “We both definitely try to hammer out a lot of quality things so that’s really it though, but pretty much for the most part he do his work in his studio and I do mine. You know what I mean? We both got our own little things. Shit, I know with me I like to be kinda like closed off, to myself when I’m doing my shit.”

The rapper also commented on keeping his music heavily relatable and explained that that’s likely what makes his music so great.

“When I become a rich nigga maybe I’ll rap about that shit, but for now I just take it from a standpoint of me and those closest to me. And I think that’s what make the music so great,” said Gibbs.

Gibbs’ interview with Fuze It shortly follows the release of his Baby Face Killa project which was made available on September 25.
