Lil Wayne Says He's Not Proud Of His Verse On 2 Chainz's "Yuck!"

Lil Wayne asks fans "please don't judge me" from his verse on 2 Chainz's "Yuck!"

Lil Wayne helps open 2 Chainz's chart-topping debut Based on a T.R.U. Story by dropping a verse on the track "Yuck!" But as his own worst critic, Weezy says he doesn't feel like lived up to his full potential on the track.

During an interview with MTV News, the Young Money honcho said that he didn't know the song would be the first on the album and that when they were in the studio, he was just messing around with the verse. He emphasized that fans shouldn't "judge me from that."

"I'm very upset at that just so everybody know, he put me on that, I sound wack as hell on there," he said. "He did not tell me that was gonna be the first song on his album. We was just in the studio and he was like man, I just did that. I was in there just messing around and I come back and hear it's [the] #1 [track] on his [album]. Please don't judge me from that. My bar game is way higher than that, man."

: TruthHurts: You have to be the most stupid person I've ever seen post on this website. Are you actually serious!? 2Pac would spit all over Wayne's face. Regardless of what one may think about Wayne's 'lyrical' ability (not withstanding his homsexual habits of kissing men on lips and wearing leopard print jeggings), there is no way in hell that Wayne can be compared to Pac with a straight face. Get out of here with that BS and go shove your head back up weezy's A$z

2 pac spit in biggie face, jay z face, nas face, mobb deep face, lil kim face and puffy face, which are all new york city icons. down with new york city rap, because they got hate in their blood.

    • facts not lies

95 million is more than you will ever besides that, lil wayne is only 29, while everyone on that list is over 40, except for beyonce. give lil wayne 13 more years..jay z was 29 back 1998 and he didn't have close to 95 million

If he started writing his shit, it would have more direction.

IM SAYING THO! Finally. Prolly why he pushed d4 back. He was quoted saying, I DID D4 BC I WAS BORED. What kinna shh is that?? If that shh was wack, I would've been dodging Wayne like I was dodging T I after the series of stupid shh he did.

  • Anonymous

"sorry everyone i suck" ... come on guys at least he apologized, unfortunately he didn't say sorry for 98% of his other garbage

    • Anonymous

he said that to get attention from people exactly like you.. you dont even like him and hes still on your radar

  • jo doe

Wayne wrote it without a ghost writer....ZING. Don't judge him though.

Wayne's going to be remembered as the next 2pac. How can you guys not award him that right? Look how much he has done for hip hop. Hip Hop album sales have been on slow decline, yet Wayne has been the small breath of air keeping it alive and bringing in money by bringing in ATTENTION. Attention is what keeps music or anything else alive. He branches out and does other things than music. He features on other artists of different genres albums. 2Pac would be proud of Wayne if he were still alive and I even believe he would agree to sign to Young Money records and help Wayne build even bigger empire. If Wayne were to die, he WOULD become the same vessel of icon as 2Pac was and still is to this day. Look how many people bite Waynes style same as they did 2pac(Nas, Ja Rule). Yall know its true but are just to afraid to admit it.

    • Anonymous

wrong! People like Eminem and Slaughterhouse are the ones breathing life back into hip hop. waynes albums sell bc 12 yr old kids think they're thug for listening to wayne. if you want true hip hop, u can listen to his watered down, bubble gum bull shit. wayne is not real hip hop, and isn't doing a damn thing for hip hop except exposing himself that he can't rap for shit without a ghostwriter

    • Dtrale

I dont know bout him being close to pac. But wayne did pave his way in this game

    • Anonymous

if you think Wayne is the next tupac...then you must be completely unfamiliar with tupac and his music.....done

    • King of Kingz

This is the second fucking retarded post I've seen today on this site, that even wanna put Pac's name anywhere near this subject, topic or environment.i only ope that my real niggaz feel wat I'm sayin n tell these young muthafuckaz on this site to stop mentioning Pacs name in the same sentence as Wayne's. This is not a Wayne diss, but u bitch ass punks keep disrespecting PAC n somebody gonna get a house call! Don't talk about shit u don't know. This is not opinion, it's fact no rapper can ever be compared to PAC. His philosophy - however he expressed is - and mentality symbolized something that young young, ignorant no culture having white wannabes wud never understand,!do ur fucking research, study the culture that u pretend u know, before u make statements that make u look like u were born yday u dumb muthafucka!

    • rick

You are a god damn retard. Pac is remeberd for being real as hell, and being true to the streets, riches didnt change pac. Plus Dr Dre sold more records than Pac in one cd anyway, Pac was the best rapper, and the best person.

    • TruthHurts

YADIG - only A fucking kid who grew up in the suburbs wud call himself "yadig" , on this site, ur not fucking welcome here, go fuck off to yo parents for some more money!

  • Anonymous

Wayne doesn't even have to rap anymore, he was already the best rapper alive during the carter 2 era (don't believe me listen to Tha Mobb) and only a few can match what he once was...but other than that i hope dedication 4 is a return to form for the fans sake.

A non sequitur (play /nnskwtr/; Latin for It does not follow) is a conversational and literary device, often used for comedic purposes. It is a comment that, because of its apparent lack of meaning relative to what preceded it,[1] seems absurd to the point of being humorous or confusing. thats why you dont like him hes confusing you

  • Anonymous

"My problem is, people pay you very good money ($100k) for a verse" That's business. Regardless of the outcome of the song, I'd blame 2 Chainz. That was his album, so if he thought Wayne wasn't bringing his A game he should have said something.

  • Fuck New Orleans

Your whole carreer is wack, B.

  • Anonymous

This 12yr old chick is really displaying her LAMEness...thought she was retiring to sk8?????

  • Anonymous

Yall faggots in the comments forgot about No Ceilings. So to say you haven't felt his shit since Drought 3 is a lie.

  • Anonymous

i think he just admitted that he doesn't care at all for hip hop anymore. After no ceilings he has been awful. Used to kill every other mainstream rapper on their own songs as well as good rappers like bun b, scarface and jadakiss. Now he can't even compete with french montana. I genuinely think that he produces awful verses and is okay with it and knows there bad.

  • A

Why would he admit this? He IS DEFINITELY an accomplished rap artist in this game. I'm not a huge fan of his most recent work, although I can give credit where due. His older stuff at times was REALLY GOOD. My problem is, people pay you very good money ($100k) for a verse (not to mention all the fans who pay for these singles), and this is what you give them in return? Very sad....If anyone should be mad it's 2 Chainz. Wayne let him down in my opinion.

  • JETLIFE116

lmao, now apologize for everything post-Dedication 2 nigga

  • Cityiz Mine

You are whack no matter what Wayne.... Jus give it up and pick up that skateboard... Ur tired, played out and have always sounded like shit.... Don't be so upset ur newest collab is garbage.... Go back to the block is hot and then return to music.... Deathofymcmb

  • MegaRevr

Nigga, we don't judge you on THIS verse, we judge you on every album since Tha Carter 2, every shitty ass feature you've made for the past 5 years, and every non-sense lyric and metaphor.

  • Anonymous

"he's wack on everything else" Seriously dude. Stop the hate. We all know he's had some decent songs here and there. Besides, if he's so terrible, why do you listen to him nonstop?

  • gilliedakid

youtube/lil wayne comes out of the closet at 2011 vma

  • truth

this nigga didn't say shit hot sense "the drought 3"

  • Anonymous

what about the entire carter 4 SAY SORRY

  • james

Lil wayne, no one is proud of you. Your punchlines, lyrics, and filler lines are dumb, lame, and played out. Weezy F. Baby and the F is for f*cking overused.

  • truth

Only decent Verse lil wayne ever spit was on Hollywood divorce by Outkast. he's wack on everything else.

    • Anonymous

True indeed.... He was aight on there but his best work was his first album.... Everything after that...... I'll pass. Carter 4 was trash....

  • AON_HipHop

Does it matter Wayne? Every verse you spit sucks. Period

  • Anonymous

"He did not tell me that was gonna be the first song on his album" Doesn't matter if it's the first song or the last. Wayne has been around long enough to know the expectations anytime he jumps on a song.

  • Anonymous

Should of just apologized for every song he did after 2008.

  • Anonymous

He had maybe 4songs on TC4 that had decent verses but I cnt remeber his last good guest verse. Some ppl thought the Hustle Hard remix was good so maybe dat one but it's def. been a few select ones.

  • Mr. Yukchi

When I first heard my boy Weezy on "Yuck," I thought he killed it! I thought it was the best Weezy verse of all time! But since Weezy think it's wack, I think it's wack now too. Dat verse is garbage, yo. But I won't judge him on that verse alone, he still the best rapper ever. P.S.: I don't like New York, either.

  • MMG Uncut

The GOAT rapper, the GOAT guitar player, the GOAT skater, the GOAT promoter, and humble. And niggas still wonderin who's the biggest and brightest star in hip hop. 2Pac & Biggie can rest in peace.

  • Anonymous

But he didn't apologize for his verse on French Montana's "Pop That"? Smh.

    • frozc

EXACTLY! I have heard my fair share of Lil Wayne and I believe that C2 is a great album and C3 I can live with.. When I heard C4 I puked my guts out but it wasn't until I heard his verse on 'Pop That' that I realized how fucking horrible Lil Wayne has become the last couple of years.. "Watch me do a trick hoe". Fuck you Wayne. And fuck you LeBron.

  • Manolo

The only verse Wayne truly spat that killed a track was his guest feature on Cassidy's "6 minutes" that also featured an already fallen off Fabolous. I don't really dig Waynes music, but that verse caught me off guard...

    • Doublespeak

Yeah? Fab's verse on that track butchers Lil' Wayne's in my opinion. I really have never heard a Lil' Wayne verse better than a 3/10

  • Anonymous

Now just apologize for every other guest feature you've ever been on and also i'd say 70% of your solo stuff and we'll be cool.

  • 777

It's not like every Lil Wayne verse sucks. Oh wait, they do.

  • la petite collette

    too late.
