Eminem Has Started Working On New LP, Praises 50 Cent & Slaughterhouse

During a recent interview, Eminem announced that he has started working on a new album. He also discussed 50 Cent's business skills and Slaughterhouse's lyrical techniques.

As the head of Shady Records, Eminem has had to do more than just rap. His work has allowed him to include himself in one of the year's most anticipated projects, Slaughterhouse's Shady Records debut, welcome to: Our House, due August 28. This won't be the first time Em sees himself working extensively with other emcees behind the scenes. One of his most successful endeavors in that regard lies with 50 Cent. Recently, Slim spoke on 50, Slaughter and how he's managed to begin working on his new solo album while trying to balance it all.

“I actually started my album," he told Channel 955 in Detroit. "But I haven’t fully went in yet because I’ve been finishing up this Slaughterhouse record. I've kind of been really hands-on with this album for the past year. This has kinda been a pet project for me. I've kind of been executive producing, producing, co-producing, mixing—very hands-on with it and just really involved. We’re actually finishing up today. We’re handing the album in today."

Eminem did not offer an estimated release date for his project. He noted that he has "fun" listening to what emcees on his Shady roster do, adding that he's enjoyed the technical work he's heard from Slaughter and Yelawolf

However, he also had time to look back at his work with 50 Cent.

“Ever since we started making music with Fif, it was always like a mutual respect thing and we became friends outside of the music," Shady shared. "50 is very big on the business aspects of his career. I would consider him a smart businessman. Not saying that I’m not, but I don’t get into as much of the technical aspect in the business sense. I have no idea what’s going on—ever. I don’t even know where I’m at right now.”

I see a lot of people going on about how crazy and dark Em was when he was on drugs and now he's just soft.. I guess these people missed out on 2009's Relapse. :O

Time to end this G.O.A.T. foolishness. In this constant debate about Jay-Z being the best ever I read things like "Nas will destroy Jay-Z" or "Eminem got a better flow than Jay" Those are OPINIONS. When will you fools learn that you can't win a debate with OPINIONS. Every rapper has a different style based on where they are from, the time period in which they were most successful, and their unique personality. We all can go on for days about our personal preferences but in a debate criteria like this is completely IRRELEVANT and automatically BIASED. The only way to win a debate is with cold hard FACTS. And the fact of the matter is that, when you weigh all of the tangible criteria (Sales, Critical Acclaim, Consistency, Longevity, and Impact) Jay-Z makes the strongest case for the G.O.A.T. Eminem has sold nearly twice as much as Jay-Z, and he is Jay's equal when it comes to longevity and impact. But Em lacks the consistency or critical acclaim that Jay-Z has (Im not talkin cult/fanboy classics, Im talkin CERTIFIED classics. XXL/Rolling Stone/Source approved) Eminem is VERY close though. Nas has enjoyed more critical acclaim and more overall respect in the hip-hop community through the years. And he's definitely equal to Jay with longevity and impact. But he hasn't been no where near as much of a consistent presence in hip-hop as Jay has. And he is obviously lacking in the sales department. Lil Wayne just may be the most consistent rapper of all time. He's no slouch when it comes to longevity and impact either. His glaring flaw? In his 12 year career Lil Wayne has yet to drop a truly critically acclaimed classic album (and it can be done in this climate. just look at kanye's discography). Also, contrary to popular beleif, Wayne lacks in the sales department. Sure, Tha Carter III and IV are blockbuster albums, but his OVERALL sales of 10 mil US pale in comparison to Jay-Z's 31 mil. 2pac is a touchy subject. When it comes to impact, pac takes the cake. No other rapper touched the world like 2pac did. He, like Em, has also sold more than Jay and he was very consistent in his time. Sadly, 2pac passed before his time which allowed Jay-Z to surpass him in longevity and critical acclaim. LL Cool J was the prototype for what a G.O.A.T. could be. He has enjoyed the most longevity, and he was fairly consistent, but his sales, acclaim and overall impact are no where near the likes of 2pac, Eminem, and ofcourse Jay-Z. Biggie, Rakim, Common, Snoop, the list goes on. All of these MC's are great but none of them have the total G.O.A.T. package like Jay-Z does. Jay-Z is the 3rd highest selling rapper of all time, and the richest. He's one of the most acclaimed (perhaps only rivaled by his boy Kanye). He dropped multi-platinum albums YEARLY from 96'-03', and he is still going strong today. He's been in the game since 88'. He's impacted hip-hop in countless ways from starting one of the 1st successful MC-owned record labels, to being the 1st non-athlete with a signature shoe, to surpassing the likes of Elvis with #1 albums. Jay-Z is without question the Greatest MC Of All Time. Period. You don't have to listen to him everyday (Im currently on my Kendrick wave). You don't even have to like him. But for goodness sake, RESPECT THE FACTS.

    • KnowMusic

@.... Your Jay-Z list didn't even have '99 Problems' so god knows how many other singles you didn't bother to include. Just thinking off the top now I can see you also haven't included 'Big Pimpin'' which WAS a top 5. If I bothered to delve in deeper I'm sure I would find many more. I'm from the UK too and you should know that watching some crappy Top 50 on Kiss (or whatever) doesn't mean you know what you're on about.

    • Jay-Z

Yo stop riding my dick. I got bodied by Nas then revived by Beyonce. I think I know who's better than me when he out rapped me on my own track "Renegade".

    • Jack Compton

"The only way to win a debate is with cold hard FACTS. And the fact of the matter is that, when you weigh all of the tangible criteria (Sales, Critical Acclaim, Consistency, Longevity, and Impact) Jay-Z makes the strongest case for the G.O.A.T." Sales are fact, yes. Longevity is fact (can be argued it's opinion). Critical Acclaim is opinion. Consistency is opinion. Impact is opinion. So by your own logic only sales can win the debate. But what is the debate? G.O.A.T. is an incomplete term. Greatest Of All Time what? Greatest of all time business man? Or Greatest of all time Hip-Hop artist? G.O.A.T.B.M. then facts about sales do matter, they're the deciding factor. G.O.A.T.H.A. sales are irrelevent as it about the artistry, which is about opinion. So there can NEVER be one G.O.A.T.H.A. decided by fact, due to the very nature of what it means, there can only be different peoples opinions.

    • City

WTF does Jay Z have to do with this story??? That's dickriding to the highest degree

    • hip hop

damn man wipe that jizz off ur mouth, Jay turned pop a long time ago!

    • Anonymous

Damn, all of you who label yourself Hip Hop fans lost by default for trying to put down either Jay or Em, two of the greatest artists this genre has ever had. Now go search another genre.

    • Danny

Man, I don't care much about sales. If you want the important stuff, lyrics and impact.. Nobody has done it like Rakim and KRS-One, they brought lyricism into the game and certainly helped Hip-Hop grow towards its Golden Age!

    • ETK

he copies and pastes this stupid ass essay like he thinks he's right and has the penultimate opinion... nigga needs to find a girl already, smh.

Jay-Z makes better hits!? Boy you done lost your mind I'm from the UK and I was watching the top 50 best selling Hip Hop singles from 15-1 and Eminem was on their like 5 different times getting no. 2 spot with Stan and no. 1 with Love The Way You Lie Jay was only on once with Empire State Of Mind and that was outside the top 10... Eminem Hit Singles (Top 5 in a country's main chart) "My Name Is" "Guilty Conscience" "The Real Slim Shady" "The Way I Am" "Stan" "Shit on You" "Purple Hills" "Without Me" "Cleanin' Out My Closet" "Lose Yourself" "Sing for the Moment" "Business" "My Band" "How Come" "Just Lose It" "Like Toy Soldiers" "Mockingbird" "Ass Like That" "When I'm Gone" "You Don't Know" "Smack That" "Crack a Bottle" "We Made You" "Beautiful" "Not Afraid" "Love the Way You Lie" "I Need a Doctor" "Lighters" Jay-Z Hit Singles (Top 5 in a country's main chart) "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)" "Heartbreaker" "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" "Frontin'" "Crazy in Love" "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" "Numb/Encore" "Dj Vu" "Umbrella" "Swagga Like Us" "Run This Town" "Empire State of Mind" "Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)" "Niggas in Paris" *including featured/group 16 of Em's are solo 2 of Jay's are solo

    • ass

too bad 2pacs cd sales were all after he died, snoop sold more before that

    • Doublespeak

@#TRUTH that was coma-inducing. I've never known anyone to spend so long saying so much, and meaning so little. When you hot lunch Jay-Z let me know. P.S. Jay-Z IS indeed an amazing artist.

    • KnowMusic

I'm going to wrap this up as concisely as possible. 1. Sales do not matter - but Eminem was the highest selling artist 1999-2009, when he was only around for about half the time, beating Britney Spears and the Beatles. How about that for media/social impact? 2. Critical acclaim - Eminem's best album crictically would be Marshall Mathers LP. Jay-Z would be Blueprint. MMLP beats BP in every list. E.g. Rolling Stone greatest 500 albums of all time MMLP - 244, BP - 252. 3. Consistency - Both are consistent and are still killing it. Eminem is lyrically better. Jay-z makes better hits (e.g. niggas in paris. But then you need to consider Eminem's last biggest hit; Love The Way You Lie, and how big that was. 4. Longevity - Jay-Z has been around longer. Therefore he has greater longevity. It doesn't really apply in this debate because both of them are icons and will be around forever. From these criteria, Eminem makes the greatest G.O.A.T.

    • Anonymous

I started it and thought I'll see what he says at the end and you concluded with "Jay-Z is without question the Greatest MC Of All Time" So it's obvious you don't know shit... Hov knows he's ain't the greatest.

    • ETK

anyone who says "he needs to go back on druge" is a retarded selfish groupie that needs to get over himself and bump his old shit. Em won't jeopardize his life again to make you sycophants happy. ffs, he almost died in 07 because of that shit

    • @CJonno90

  • Anonymous

"Have fun with Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Madonna, Adele" You mean the artists who sell millions, make catchy songs, and have zillions of fans? Ok.

    • @CJonno90

Not at all the better the music is the more I like it but if your seriously saying that the shit that's getting played on the mainstream radio/TV is any good because most of it is just about fuck all or the same shit, just my opinion but I like my music to have substance. Also Eminem is my favourite rapper and he's the highest selling rapper of all time and the most liked artist on Facebook and Kanye West, Jay-Z & 2Pac are all in my top 10 rappers of all time so I'm saying I judge music on music not on popularity...

    • Anonymous

"If your content with that for your criteria, got some old school Vanilla Ice for ya... you ain't shit but a little sheep. Having trouble deciphering your baaahs" LOL @ this guy. You'll find examples to prove/disapprove every single opinion out there. Well, I think we all got your point know, the more unknown a rapper is the better it makes him. And more success makes one automatically lesser talented. Damn, I don't know why yall categorize music so much, just listen to what you want to. I've never had problems putting on 50 and then listen to someone like Scarface afterwards.

    • Anonymous

Though Adele isn't that bad. She's the only one on that list who has talent.

    • @CJonno90

If your content with that for your criteria, got some old school Vanilla Ice for ya... you ain't shit but a little sheep. Having trouble deciphering your baaahs

I talked to my dude and Slaugust 28th is the FINAL date, no more push backs. He also has the official and final track listings for both the Standard and Deluxe editions, yes there is a Deluxe edition. But being that he's a selfish bastard he chose not to share the track list's with me lol. I do know that the Standard has 16 tracks and the Deluxe has 20, CD's are currently being pressed. So yes, Slaugust 28th is the date. Also look out for their new mixtape "On The House" coming soon.

i heard the album is called redemption and it comes out march 11, 2013

"and you defiantly can't count on records sales" Record sales told the story and WTT won... Easily. Nas wouldn't even dispute that.

    • @CJonno90

As I explained in a comment above I do judge music on just quality, I ain't no Underground Hip Hop head but I know what I like...

    • Anonymous

And you act just as unlogical as all these sheep, you equal low sales with quality. You be on the lookout for the most unpopular musc possible to make yourself feel special. How about letting music be music? Nas himself would slap the fuck outta you for that.

    • @CJonno90

Okay you listen to the albums that are dictated how good they are by the units they move I'll go listen to L.A. Riot, W.A.R. (We Are Renegades), undun, Live from the Underground, Oneirology, Charity Starts At Home, Success Is Certain, Life Is Good, Section.80, REBELutionary, Klusterfuk, Hell: The Sequel, XXX, R.A.P. Music, Cole World: The Sideline Story, Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme, All 6's and 7's, The Wonder Years & People Hear What They See. Have fun with Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Madonna, Adele etc.

Why doesn't Eminem spit over more Alchemist production? I dont get it thats his dj and there constantly on tour together. thats what I want to hear....I think it would be ill for Eminem to do a song with earl sweatshirt...just throwing that one out their.

    • @CJonno90

Yeah Em needs to do stuff with more producers like Alchemist but he been in the studio with DJ Premier. And GTFOH with that Earl Sweatshirt shit, dude looking like he missing a chromosome...

    • Jason

I know man For real. That song Chemical Warfare is pretty tight. Just the accent kinda kills it.

  • Not RIch And Still Trying

Crooked I is a God it's a shame he's fucking with these non west coast bitches

  • Josh

I have a horrible feeling that the new album is going to be stupid pop garbage like Recovery was. I'll TRY and be optimistic though.

    • ETK

because it's the PAST, and that's where it should be left. ffs. if I had to go with y'all assumptions on any rapper based on the past, I'd be one pessimistic motherfucker. or rather, I'd be like some of these drones commenting on here daily. and btw, Eminem's by far and large not the only one getting passes for wack punchlines

    • Anonymous

^^ What's wrong about making assumptions based on the past? You defending an album that isn't even out yet is absolutely no different from someone ripping it apart. You don't know how scientifical predictions work, do you? Damn, the flawed ass logic of some of you is just ridiculous. Back to topic, Em's the king technically, but he gets too many passes for them wack ass punchlines he be dropping so often nowadays. Back then, he found the perfect balance between lyrics and flow. Now it seems that he's sacrificing content for flow and that's where it should stop in rap.

    • ETK

      >guys let's get back to the real world and be realistic >proceeds to rip apart an album that hasn't seen the light of day, or had a title yet wow I fucking weep for this generation.

    • Fado

....Recovery wasn't garbage. you just have to listen too it for what it was. if you go into it expecting too hear the Eminem Show type of material you will be disappointed. I will admit alot of his punchlines on Recovery were cheesy as hell, but between his flow and song concepts I will give him a pass on that. honestly I do miss the I dont give a fuck Eminem, but hey hes like 40 what do you expect?....

    • ^

You haven't even heard the album yet. Wait until the singles come out, thenyou can judge.

Eminem must have Hopsin on a feature. He MUST!

    • Evan Stastny

Hopsin has turned down big record labels in favour of staying indie, I guess for a lot of reasons... what happened when he was on Ruthless Records and you don't get much creative control anymore, now he's just he's own boss and gets to say what he wnats to say.

    • Anonymous

that be jokes as fuck if Hopsin got signed to Shady Records

    • georgel

dont compare anyone to anyone, hopsin is not as good as eminem if he was hed be huge by now. He is good and nothing against hopsin but he isnt quite on eminems level with flow or lyrical ability. but hopsin on eminems label would be cool. dont tell me hopsin is happy where he is, who doesnt want more money. and when he gets it you all will probably start hating him and eventually calling him sell out. happens with all artists anymore

    • Evan Stastny

Hop has Funk Volume and seems pretty set on building that. Cant just walk in and "draft" artists.

Their pathetic music is Em's pity fuck with ZERO chance of making $$$ back for Interscope-- it won't even cover the promotion bill, which is put back on the artists. And wait, wait, I though these bums had FOUR fanbases to draw from; you don't think they add up to at least 200,000 first week?

Laughterhouse are straight fucking garbage; using too many words in every song doesn't make you "lyrical," it means you have no discretion or sense of musical economy. The retards who think they live in the same universe as Wu should be put to goddamn sleep. Q: what Laughterhouse SONG matches any Wu album '93-'96? Zero Point Zero

Dude needs to sign Elzhi as soon as possible.

  • Anonymous

I wish Dre would produce another beat to let Eminem and 50 rap over. The 3 of them together are untouchable.

  • Anonymous

Hell yeah, all 3 albums gonna be FIRE. Shady Records is back, Em takin over the game once again

  • Anonymous

Just imagine Em, Jon Connor, Nas, Royce, and K. Dot on a track together...

    • b

ya'll must be sleepin on Jon Connor. Has he put in the work Em, Nas or Royce has, no? But as far as being just a spitter, he's 1 of da best out 2day, Underground or Mainstream. Dudes a legit spitter

    • ....

Last "Anonymous" got it spot on just because all them rappers would be on one song wouldn't make it doper than a song like "Renegade" wheir it's just 2 MCs bringing what they do to the table and going down in Hip Hop history

    • Anonymous

There's probably 100 rappers who are more destined to be on this track than Jon Connor will ever be. Plus, this is a prime example for something ONLY looking good on paper. The result would sound like somebody copy & pasted random verses from them and put them over a beat that most of them don't harmonize with.

    • Anonymous

Jon Connor is nothing special... 6.5/10 flow and 7.5/10 lyrics he could NOT keep up with these guys

    • Anonymous

Put Elzhi and Black Thought on there.

    • TOP DAWG ENT.

add crooked i nd ab soul and you got the greatest track ever made.

    • Anonymous

That would be tight.. I don't know if Jon Connor can keep up with the rest of them though

  • Brian Scalabrine

I swear to god u can not find a sicker rapper in the game than eminem..hands down fuckin greatest

  • Deadly Combo 47

Slaughterhouse is the nicest rap group since the Wu. Its a shame mainstream America doesn't appreciate a raw lyricist anymore. I'm glad to know that one of the all time great rappers still does. Eminem deserves all the respect in the world for putting a group of REAL lyricists on the radio.

    • d

You all sleepin' on DMP. They like Slaughterhouse but more coherent. And I prefer production from Nottz over Em any day.

    • Anonymous

      Or OutKast...

    • Sam Snead

I can't wait for the slaughterhouse album it is my second most awaited album after the nas album this summer. But did you guys forget about tribe called quest and N.W.A, Wu is my fav group but you can't forget about tribe n nwa

    • Anonymous

D12 is wack? Uhh Swifty and Kuniva are two of the most underrated MCs of all time, Eminem is the GOAT, Proof was great....

    • Anonymous

LOL. G-Unit might be the greatest POPrap group of all time, but that's right where it ends. Another media victim, whose ability to put things in perspective has been clouded by 50's success. The worst Wu-Tang verse shits all over your popstars. You're a fucking disgrace.

    • Anonymous

RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah where dope as fuck but Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa & Ol' Dirty Bastard were nothing special.

    • Deadly Combo 47

D12 is wack Proof and Shady were the only ones worth mentioning. G-Unit is one of the greatest rap groups of all time, but only because of what 50 Cent was able to achieve. The Wu was great as a whole and you could match ANY MC in the entire clan bar for bar with any of the greatest rappers.

    • Deadly Combo 47

Do i look like someone who is running around praising young money and MMG? I have Big L and Tupac in my avi....

    • Crusader

ye today u all listen to drake weezy and rick ross THATS Blasphemic!!! and Tracks like "my buddy" "Poppin them thangs" and "Stunt101" are MORE THEN HIP HOP!!! that was AMAZING!! Wu Tang is Classic but not like D12 or the Unit!

    • Deadly Combo 47

and that is exactly what is wrong with the hip hop community today. SMH. I love Beg For Mercy but to say that it is better than EVERYTHING Wu is HIP HOP BLASPHEMY.

    • Crusader

u forgot the Unit!!! Beg for Mercy is beter then EVERYTHING of Wutang

  • Clyde. Donovan

Contender for best album of the year if he makes the right tracka n right features, he should be in your top 5 no excuse

  • Anonymous

I hope eminem and nas have a song on his next LP that could just be like one of the greatest songs ever

  • Anonymous

This is what i'm saying. Eminem has enough money to to do what he wants and he chooses to promote real hip hop. Eminem always kept it real you will never see him make a song with rick ross.

  • Arion Luna

Em is the man. In my personal opinion, the greatest rapper ever. I think he is best when he is making fun of himself or cracking jokes lyrically at other people, celebrities and artists, and then has this crazy punch line or concept that overlooks the entire song. He did this over and over on every album. The many rhyming patterns, the complex lyrics and metaphor schemes and combinations, being able to lyrically slay other rappers to the point nobody will even mention him in a negative way on a record.

  • Kristian Kondoski

hehe lil wayne on an interview said em is too busy for me hehe but fifty is mad friends with him dude thats all that needs toi be said right now FIFTY BOSSS

IS MARSHALL GONNA TAKE THE L FOR LAUGHTERHOUSE FLOP? AND IF HE'S SO 'INVOLVED,' HOW COME ALL THREE OF THEIR DOGSHIT SINGLES FLOPPED? NOT THAT THEIR KOCH BULLSHIT WAS BETTER BUT AT LEAST IT WASN'T RIDICULOUS.

    • Young King

If Slaughterhouse is so bad... than why is it that both Meek Mill and Wiz Khalifa pushed their albums back and are no longer dropping on the same day as Slaughterhouse than?

    • I see what you did there...

Slaughterhouse without 'S' is spelled Laughterhouse, as in LAUGHTER House! HAHAHAHAHAHA! That's sooooooo funny! You should be a comedian! Watch out, Kevin Hart!

    • Anonymous

Why are you so emotionally involed in the Slaughterhouse success story? Damn, you're one dumb bastard. And if all their singles flopped, how come you STILL can't hop off their dicks?

    • Mike G.

This Slaughterhouse album is ganna be sick cant wait!

  • kgmclol

50 in hisprime was a beast eminem in his prime was a god

    • Anonymous

50 in his prime was a overrated, shirtless pop star who recorded the same song over and over and broke the record for wasting countless great beats.

  • hiphOpniac

Funny how everybody has some shit to say about Slaughterhouse. But yet Meek Mill and Wiz Khalifa both pushed back their albums and are not dropping the same day as Slaughterhouse anymore so , you tell me who the better rappers are.

    • Young King

LMAO... Son really stole my youTube username and EXACT comment and reply. I seen this shit coming though, eventually. Salute lol. I never thought it would actually happen. Ima need that back though.

  • kobe24mvp81

Royce is a more technical lyricist than 50, 50 makes good party shit but Royce is more of my type of rapper...EM still funny as fuck after all these years

  • AndroidGuru13

FUCK Young Money and MMG... Its's all about SHADY Records!

  • Anonymous

Cant wait! Back to make mainstream hip hop raise the bar! Lets do it!

  • Shady 2.0

Yeah I got a whole list of MCs for you to sign Em if that's your criteria Danny Brown (When Em started Shady Records he wanted to rep Detroit... XXX was one of the best albums of 2011) Fashawn (Listen to 2009 album Boy Meets World) Jon Connor (Dude reppin' Michigan and so hardworking also close with Royce & Mr. Porter) Lloyd Banks (He needs the leave G-Unit Records because since Sha Money XL left it's became a sinking ship) Pharoahe Monch (Get yourself a respected veteran like Kanye did with Q-Tip & Mos Def) Royce da 5'9" (Solo) ScHoolBoy Q (Yeah I know he's on TDE but so is Kendrick as well as Aftermath & I think ScHoolBoy could have moderate mainstream success) Thurz (Listen to debut solo album L.A. Riot, one of my top 10 albums of 2011) Also I recommend signing some of these without the support of Interscope so just indie kinda...

    • Anonymous

Nah, it don't think it's a diss at all, but it's no wonder that most of them (not all) will never blow up. They just don't have it due to different reasons. Being good at rapping is, sadly or not, simply not enough.

    • Shady 2.0

You seem to think Underground is a diss... Underground hip hop is often characterized by socially conscious, positive, or anti-commercial lyrics. However, there is no unifying or universal theme Allmusic suggests that it "has no sonic signifies". "The Underground" also refers to the community of musicians, fans and others that support non-commercial, or independent music.

    • Anonymous

No, all of them will stay underground forever and that's not undeserved.

    • Shady 2.0

Jon Connor can sign to Shady as long as he doesn't have to make sell out music as long as his decision, it was Yelawolf's decision to make his album sound like that and Slaughterhouse made My Life and I don't think that's sell out music because if that was the criteria for Emceeing on the radio Hip Hop would be in a better place instead we hear shit like "My Homies Still" WTF is that about. I'm saying if big labels started pushing people with the rapping capabilities of these guys then Hip Hop could start a new "Golden Era".

    • TheRealEminem

no, i'm signing them all. and that's THAT! -Angry Brown hair

    • d

Danny Brown's on Fool's Gold. I doubt he'd sign to Shady after a bad run in with G-Unit. XXX is fire though. Jon Connor spits fire but I don't know if he'll sign, that's kind of been his message across most of his projects is how shite all the industry rap music is. Would be a bit hypocritical to sign to him. Pharaohe Monch it's not really worth him signing, I wouldn't want him to lose an ounce of creative control even if it would bolster SR's roster. Q can sign, he's independent. Black Hippy are signed to Aftermath but Q and Soul are only signed to TDE as solo artists so he can still do a joint venture with SR. Would like to good kid, m.A.A.d city before I say if he should sign though. I'd rather see Thurz work more with Black Thought and the rest of the Philly rappers. I know he's from LA but I'd love to see a Thurz and MMJB track.

    • TheRealEminem

Thanks. I'm so delighted that I can log on to HiphopDX and end my talent searching because you have all the answers. I'll gladly do so. please submit your resume for our A&R position at Shady records. If you can't locate our building, it's 80 seconds away from the towers... lol PS Jon Connor is dope as fuck -Angry Blonde (formally)

  • @CJonno90

Needs to sign Jon Connor if he wants good talented technical MCs and I also heard he's close to signing Logic on AllHipHop.com and if y'all haven't checked that dude out listen to his 2011 mixtape Young Sinatra or listen to the review DeadEndHipHop did on it on YouTube.

  • Anonymous

this dude is so overrated !!! please retire man ! nobody gives a fuck bout your pills, your ex fiancee relationship, your mom relationship, your suicidal thoughts etc

    • Deborah

Maybe you don't care, but others do. Do not mock the troubles of someone else.

    • Anonymous

lol jump off a cliff. em proved more technical proficiency on his worst track than your favorite rapper did in his whole career while he'll sell millions of albums til he retires. for someone that doesn't care you were able to list a wide range of topics, nice try. now take the advice people gave you.

    • asd

hes the most liked person on facebook with 60 mill every time he drops an album it goes platinum automatically, nobody cares right ?

    • c

Go jump in front of a train with that comment.

  • Anonymous

hope he drops the album this year

  • BGG

Eminem needs to sign PropaneLV...whiteboy got skillz and if he dont sign him someone else will dont sleep on this dude...youtube his "no lie cover" over drakes shit to get a glimpse

  • Anonymous

50 Cent is one of the best at branding.

  • Anonymous

If it wasn't for 50's business skills he would be Ja Rule status.
