Lord Finesse Sues Mac Miller For $10 Million Over "Hip 2 Da Game" Instrumental

Legendary emcee and producer Lord Finesse has filed a lawsuit against Mac Miller for unauthorized use of one of his beats.

Lord Finesse has filed a $10 million lawsuit against Mac Miller for using the former's "Hip 2 Da Game" beat without permission.

Finesse, a member of New York's Diggin' in the Crates Crew (D.I.T.C.), released "Hip 2 Da Game" in 1995. The song was featured on Finesse's third solo album, 1996's The Awakening, as a single. It was performed and produced by the Bronx native:

According to Courthouse News Service, Lord Finesse is suing Mac Miller because of Miller's use of the "Hip 2 Da Game" beat on the song "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza (The Kool Aid Song)." Miller's song is featured on his mixtape K.I.D.S.: Kickin' Incredibly Dope Shit:

"This is a case about a teenage rapper- Mac Miller- copying the music from a song written, produced and performed by Lord Finesse, a hip hop legend, changing the title and then distributing it under his own name in order to launch his music career," states Finesse's complaint.

Finesse says he filed the lawsuit after mixtape-hosting site DatPiff.com, Miller, and Rostrum Records (Miller's label), refused to respond to a cease an desist letter earlier in July.

    Mac Miller is the Shit.

  • Toby

This already happened with Mac in 2010, check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Pv1_mmOTb8 So its happening again, you can't just take copyrighted material wether for free or paid use, you are building your brand from someone else's work, period.

  • Big L

Let me get this straight your on DITC (digging in the crates) and your suing someone for using your beat? Is that irony.

  • chris

He's even got on a Big L rest in Peace shirt in his video, man, yall need to kill that bullshit, let the little kid live. He atleast made an attempt to show respect and pay homage to the rap legends. He aint amazing lyrically, but he ain't wack either, so it ain't like he is embarrassing hip hop either. Just let the kid do him, ya'll bein real wack right now

  • chris

This is wack as hell. How you gonna sue someone for rapping to your beat to place on a free project? That's bottom line wack and he should be ashamed of himself. I came up in the golden age of hip hop and that was all people did. Now this dude wanna sue a kid for using his beat for a free project? Where they do that at? And he apparently already talked to the kid and hashed it out. Now he wanna sue. That's weak yo

Lord Finesse puts hard work in at what he does, so when some honky tonk muthafuka uses his beats without permission, they deserved to get fucked over. besides mac miller is fukin awful. why does he even rap? who cares what hes gotta say! he aint got shit to tell us

  • achpe

2012 HIP HOP is trash!!!!!!!!!!!!! What year did biting become allowed in the game? Ya stupid niggaz getting at Finesse, its a business. PAY HOMAGE, mixtape or not. BE ORIGINAL and these things wont happen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • getagrip

Do some research before you ask that question people have done that all along in Hip-hop as long as Mac got it cleared didn't perform it, didn't sell the mix tape or make money off it in anyway he's not in the wrong period

    • Vinnie Vegas

      1982 was the year.

  • duh

maybe donald trump could loan miller a few millions if finesse wins the lawsuit

  • twoholla

I'm not sure of the legality of this...but the BOTTOM LINE is...when Lord Finesse reached out to Datpiff, Rostrum, & Mac mIller to 'cease & desist'...they all IGNORED him. If MaC was really paying homage....he would've took it off...simple as that. ppl sue for amounts way over what they can actually get, if they get anything, all the time...EVERYONE is defending cat miller but WHY...if someone sends you a CEASE & DESIST order that you don't at least attempt to talk or just take it off ya' damn project, whether it's a mixtape or retail???

  • Crate Mayne

Youngbucks on this board defending Mac are dumb as hell.. Yes it was a mixtape song, but it also made mad loot through YouTube, is for sale on Amazon, and blew up his career. You're not supposed to make money off of stolen goods

    • Vinnie Vegas

You're not supposed to make money off of mixtapes either... Mac didn't make money on YouTube just because of that one video. Someone else must've sold his song on Amazon, since mixtapes are free. I'm sure he made money performing the song in concert, but what it sounds like is Finesse and Mac made an agreement about using the beat and Mac and his crew didn't uphold their end of the deal. When Finesse wanted to shut it down because of that, Mac's people didn't handle the situation correctly.

  • Vinnie Vegas

I think 2:25 in Mac's video sums it up.. "But many more songs to make cousin, so why the fuck you buggin'? I'm just a muthafuckin' kid, I'm just a muthafuckin' kid..." Lord Finesse could have made hits with Mac. Instead he's trying to swing for the fences in one shot while giving one of his biggest fans the middle finger before he steps to the plate. Real classy Finesse.

Lord Finesse dont fuck with corny muthafukaz! Lord Finesse represents real hip hop! mac millers a phony

  • Cowley

straight up bullshit. not a fan of mac miller, I'm on his side with this

  • Bpayne

I don't Like Mac Miller as an Artist.. but in all seriousness I have to say that Finesse is Wrong for this one.. not only that but has absolutely NO CASE.. he used it as Promo beat for a Mixtape.. Meaning he didn't sell it nor did he get any publishing from it or get any proceeds from playing it on the radio.. so There's nothing to sue over.. that's what people do for mixtapes they jack other artist shit...Now if it was on an album it would be a different story but it's not so Fuck outta here

    • BK

That's not the point ASS WIPE...Wack Miller still need to pay...charge it to rule #4,080...but then again ur one of those smart dumb motherfuckes

  • tbo via bmore

old head tryna put his name back in the mix. mac shouldve reached out but he wasnt tryin to use this dudes rep to launch his career (being as most kids have never heard of finesse), but rather using a beat that he loves to do a freestyle over (aka paying homage). old man needs to speak to mac directly and handle it like hes grown

    • Bpayne

@BK Whay to make a point CuntFace.. you have no real argument so you just try to insult me lol.. That is the WHOLE point if you take a sec to think about it.. People drop Mixtapes with other peoples beats all the time.. when someone uses the Triumph beat for a promo mixtape do u think they "pay" for it.. Fuck no.. as long as they don't sell it.. no one pays for that shit.. even more well known artists than him use industry inst. for promo Free projects.. none of them pay for it because it's not an Exclusive original Beat and they are not selling the project.. the beat to that song is like any other song that someone would use for a mixtape if they sue him then they gotta sue every mufuckin body else that ever uses an industry beat for promo without paying.. so think about that.. but I'm sure you won't cause your one of those Dumb Dumb muthafuckas

  • youngsta

sigh, another broke ass, old ass nigga suing a younger one for making it. when old ass finesse spits on that beat, it sounds trashy. but mac miller ripped that beat to shreds and made it something special. it made people recognize him. finesse needs to fall the fuck back with that $10 mill crap. dude sounds real desparate. his last album came out like, what, 100 years ago? lol, mac stays grinding and finesse stays lazy.

    • Vinnie Vegas

      Afrika Bambaata.

    • NapalmBrain

you think because in your opinion he rapped better he shouldn't be sued for trying to further his career by ripping off a legend. I hope that terrible ass rapper goes broke and has to step out the game. BTW Finesse still drops albums, and damn good ones. Take your whack ass drake and wale loving opinions elsewhere. Grownups are discussing hip hop

    • Anonymous

fuck Wac Miller, and youngstaz aint shit

  • haters kill normal people

in this particular instance the veteran is WRONG. mac miller is not dope to me period. and we all love and worship the man who's lord finesse. but suing mac for that beat with uncleared samples in the first place and it was just for a FREE mixtape....... crab move. lord finesse is an incredible emcee... but as a dude- no better than a corny ass crumb snatchin white boy. keep grindin mac miller dont let that bum get you down period

  • Anonymous

    mac miler sucks hairy balls

  • DB187

Wtf that track was on a FREE mixtape. Smh.

  • Anonymous

Mac miller is a wannabe-Feminem. Lord Finesse the lyrical legend, deserves every penny. The Beatles would have done it. Fidduk dat, whenever a black MC does a lawsuit, he is looked down upon. Macaroni Miller shouldve got permission.

  • G

Hmmm, so did Lord Finesse pay for every sample he's ever used, including all the drum breaks etc? I highly doubt it. Some of the artists on those original funk records from the 70s that most hip-hop beats are built on got paid next to nothing and are now really struggling in their old age. Hip hop artists should put together a fund to pay some of these people properly (not the labels/copyright owners).

  • CaptainSpauldingNephew

I'm from finesse era. Now, I see Mac Miller using the track as paying homage. But, If Mac and company did not reach out to Lord Finesse and get permission then there is a problem. If Mac Miller, is using this song when he is performing,Then he is profiting off the use of this song. Which is called performance royalties. Copywrite act of 1976. Now if I'm wrong, I need somebody from the audience, who is an industry insider, to add on to what I'm saying.

  • DK

FINESSE 72 YEARS OLD UGLY WHOOPI GOLBERG LOOKING NIGGA LOOKING FOR 10 MILLI FROM A 20 YEAR OLD KID TO SUPPORT HIS FAMILY.DAYLIGHT ROBBERY GUY IS A PEACE OF PUSSY.IF WE EVER MEET IMMA MURK HIM LIKE THE STRIPPER HE IS.

  • Anonymous

I been waiting for this to happen since the song came out. a couple of things tho: wasn't k.i.d.s. a free mixtape? if it was, mac miller didn't really make money directly off the beat. it isn't even a hit. I agree he could've asked permission, but 10 mil? fuck that

  • DCONN

This is a win win for Mac Miller, If he didn't have fame before, Lord Finesee just gave it to him.I didn't know who MAC MILLER was until this article. Finesse will not get 10 mil, cause the kid doesn't have it. Rappers rhyme over each other beats all the time, maybe it would have been different had he given Finesse a shout out. Any publicity is good publicity when your trying to get known

    • Originali21

Well, he may not have it, but his record label does and datpiff does too. He may not get 10 mil, but with so much professional promotion for a Mixtape work, he definitely will get enough money to make them cry

  • Black panther

  • fatalbertbeats

Fuck internet rappers. Nowadays so called "mixtape" is just to promote fuckin rappers on stolen beats. 90's mixtape was about DJ and mixing loads of different tracks, that was promoting loads of rappers. How can somebody make video to stolen beat and don't credit original instrumental? that's just wack. Fuck Mac Miller, fuck Lupe Fiasco and all them unoriginal bitches!

    • Originali21

Lupe fiasco never promoted his mixtapes like original work and trying to profit good money like Miller. Don't compare things that do not match, totally different situation

  • Anonymous

Mac Miller doesn't have anywhere near $10 Million And it was used on a free mixtape not a retail album

  • DK

DEAR GOD I DONT GROW UP TO BE A BITTER OLD WASHEP BITCH LIKE FINESSE. SERIOUSLY? IS MILLER EVEN WORTH 10 MILLI? ITS OBVIOUS FINESSE IS A BROKE BITCH TRYING TO LIVE OFF OF 20 YEAR OLD RAPPERS. Finesse isn't a legend? Oh remind me what tracks you produced for Biggie then, DK? Oh thats right you didn't. WACK MILLER! Gotta steal from blacks to get rich. like a BITCH!

  • JustSaying

It's Bigger than Mac miller!!! Name another music Genre that you can be lucky enough to here your favourite rapper on your favourite beat? All types of OFFICIAL mixtapes are more exposure and more entertainment for everybody a like! some of you guys sound like you want to be stuck in the old days and maybe have one album every 2 years with nothing in between. Alot of people sounding real bitter,OLD SKOOL/NEW SKOOL your gonna get wack artist/emcess regardless so dont blame that on mixtapes. Next you'll be sayin that all radio freestyles are a problem unless the beats original. . . SMH Simple fact is if you dont like it then YOU dont have to listen.

  • Derek

I'd expect that from some new school pussy rapper but Lord Finesse!? I think that was Mac Milli showing you love jack ass.

    • WNDRKND

Truth, plus, what in the fuck is Finesse doing tryna sue dude for a cool 10 mil? Shit, by compare Drake's got about 20, so I know Mac Miller ain't got anywhere close to that... Maybe a cool 1, 2, maybe close to 3? Not anymore than that... Finesse is a herb for thinking he might actually get a settlement anywhere close to the figure he's wanting for this...

  • dzbk

every single last one of these kids in the video look like the type of dudes that would get beat up in my old high school..lol i guess thats y he had so many supporters, he was like a voice for the nerdy nasely douchebag...

  • seb

Good, maybe that dickhead Mac will stop biting beats like a 14 year old bitch. I hope he gets whats coming to him. Seriously MAC MILLER deserves some kind of beating and eventual death. People like him kill Hip Hop.

  • dzbk

anyone saying that this could potentially kill the hip hop scene is retarded, im sure if lord finesse supported mac miller as an artist and respected his shit, he wouldn't sue, these lawsuits been going on, but the rappers who are respected and do righteous by the beat/sample they don't get sued..

  • dzbk

damn that must really suck, lmao dude is gonna be history if finesse wins this case, this song is the fucking song that made mac miller start to get really noticed in the first place, it must b a real shitty feeling to get sued by the guy who put your supposed favorite rapper into the game, lmao if big l was still here you my friend would have never been allowed to perform in new york..mac miller seems to have a problem with using beats without credit, or real permission, he claims he received permission, thats highly doubtful especially since at the time you were a complete nobody..

  • KadafiThaDon

This isn't going to kill the mixtape scene rappers will just have to stop rapping over unauthorized beats and pay for original beats or do like Big Krit does and make their own beats. Way too much sampling goes on in hip hop anyway IMO. Be more creative and come up with ya own shyt. Lord Finesse even used a sample on said beat. It's ridiculous

    • Anonymous

Actually enough sampling doesn't go on. And you wonder why every rapper raps over basically the same beat.

    • gutter man

not the same thing fart mouth! finesse was creative and paid to record/produce that song and also paid to use the sample. new cats need to show respect. bein on finesses (d.i.t.c.'s) bad side aint a good look for any artist let alone an up and coming one especially mac miller who is pretty dope but has no content.

  • Shaun

First off, i hate the hell out of Mac Miller. But it was only a mixtape, so what can you really do? It was promotional, its not like he made a bunch of money off of it or anything.

    • Anonymous

Tell that to lord finesse. He didn't play that horn. It was a sample.

    • Originali21

@Shaun ofc this is too much, but very often they do it like this. They say 10 to profit maximum one or two millinions @Rain exactly that's my point. This whole "street business" is noweadays more complex than 10 years ago. Fans via facebook, twitter accounts, youtube, all this gives the artist money. And some day there have to be restrictions. You can't jack every instrumental you like and than promote it like your own with an official video clip that will get millions of views just like that

    • Rain

@Originali21: Co-sign. These days anyone can profit off a mixtape without selling It through retail. Mediums like Youtube advertising and datpiff make this possible.

    • Shaun

Yea, Ok, but 10 million? C'mon son.

    • Originali21

Yeah, but nowadays you can't say that so easily. This tape, along with the official video clip, served also as a basis for his career. By naming everything as "Mixtape" but in the same time you get money from views, promo, datpiff etc. I think it's not so easy to call this "just a mixtape"

  • Originali21

fucking mixtape? With video clip and official promotion by the label? It's not really a typical mixtape - presentation if you ask me...

  • WIGGA PLEASE

    Get em Finesse!!

    • WNDRKND

Correction: **Not tapes, I meant singles leading up to Macadellic

    • WNDRKND

@gutter man, so pretty much, what you're saying is that in order for Finesse and his crew to get on, they have to sue a scrawny, 20-year-old white kid? 'The fuck outta here bruh... If that's the case, then DITC don't even deserve to blow back up. Matter fact, I say fuck em... Dudes like this didn't weather the storms of rap when the winds changed, so they drowned my nigga.. The only way Finesse would ever, and I mean EVER make big moves with his crew, honestly, would be if he made some new shit that had equally as much artistic merit as his old shit, and people could respect him for it... But not by making the news for suing some kid who ain't even old enough to drink... I say, if we're out here calling him a legend, ain't nothing wrong with that, but then lets put that theory to the test... Cause legends don't get shook by mere children, they say some shit like "go outside and play you schoolboy bitch." Fuck, I'm not even a mac miller fan. Macadellic was a disappointment, especially after all the tapes he dropped, but shit man, I haven't heard jack about finesse in a while, so why is he popping up now? Guess dude really needs the money... SO much for big moves. Suing a nigga ain't a big move...

    • gutter man

second that. 10 mill means he might get at least 1 mill. then were gonna expect some big moves from d.i.t.c.

  • Anonymous

Lord Finesse has to pay to clear samples. So Mac Miller has to cough up some dough too!

  • Anonymous

Here we have another case where the idiots on this website will pick the artist they like better instead of looking at the big picture. I have never bought a Mac Miller CD in my life, nor will I, but Finesse is opening pandoras Box by doing this. You know how many thousands of rappers, both legendary and irrelevant, have freestyled over other peoples beats on free mixtapes, If he manages to win this lawsuit, imagine what its gonna do to the mixtape/Internet scene. This is petty, regardless of who Finesse is this shit is unnecessary and could have a huge backlash on the entire industry

    • WNDRKND

@Anonymous The mixtape scene needs to die? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha okaybro... I'm done with you fucking herbs proclaiming the death of hip hop... You account for the gaggles of whiny melodramatic bitches on hip-hop blogs that couldn't see innovation if it hit you over the head, took your shit, and then gave it to your best friends... So heres some perspective for y'all niggas who are out here living under a rock: -Mixtapes will never change. Its content between studio content, and the speed of technology will only mean more mixtapes coming out, not less. -The first commentator wasn't even defending Mac Miller, he was just saying that, unbeknownst to him, finesse could very well force the culture of mixtape creation and freestyling over recognizeable beats into a new direction... And one notedly less nostalgic, much less, homage oriented... Honestly? That is a lot of rap music when you look at it between the lines. Its either paying someone respect and homage by rapping over their shit, or, its completely smacking a nigga by getting on his shit and bodying him on it. Is this faculty of hip hop creation directly affiliated with mac miller? No. So to be clear, few are even defending him. -Our Culture? The fuck do you mean by that? Are you saying that because Mac Miller in part accounts for a rising percentage of caucasian emcees that are making greats like Eminem look far less token in perspective? Honestly, who the fuck cares? People will always make bad music, just as much as people will always make good music. It doesn't mean that the genre is dying out, or is getting killed, if anything, it means that Hip-hop is being given a new life, and one that transcends hackneyed stories of shooting off pistols, selling drugs, smacking bitches or even the bitching and moaning characteristic of the "socially conscious" spheres of hip hop. Honestly, this is one of the first periods in the history of the genre where I legitimately feel as if hip-hop is reaching more equilibrium content-wise. Its less gangster intensive and more lifestyle intensive. Which is to say, hip-hop CAN and always WILL encapsulate the gangster, but, in the same vein is gaining credibility by having the capacity to discuss "white subjects" like, living in the burbs, being overly medicated. domestic violence, and other issues of note. But terms like "people such as mac miller ruin our culture" are just being thrown out there to be hyperbolic and you would have better luck at choosing better words. Cause I'll tell you this now: there are two places where hip hop will fundamentally shift--The first place is in what is being sampled, and the types of beats that are being churned out. Clams Casino and even Harry Fraud in many capacities are playing with more ambient, steam-engine-style beats, while niggas like ASAP are working with Skrillex. Does that mean hip-hop is dying? fuck no. It means that new life is being breathed into it... Shit, we can't all live and die by the soul sample... My nigga, thats boring as fuck. Thats why niggas like Ninth Wonder, who have gone on to win prestigous awards and attain international acclaim, have even gone so far as to fall off, and the best they can do is a Sean Boog mixtape, or some fuckin bullshit for The Real Tom Hardy... Nigga please. Oh yeah, and the second thing thats gonna change with rap music is that there are gonna be a lot more white people. So get over it, get used to it, or get the fuck outta here... But hip hop ain't dead, and it ain't dying... And if it is, all these faux hip-hop heads out here like you killing it, cause you don't have the capacity to produce enough intellectual, much less, creative, room to accommodate the genre's progression... And remember this much, everything I said is all coming out the mouth of a black man... And one who has actually interviewed and sat down his fair share of hip-hop artists to legitimately find out what theyre creative process is like... But you are no expert, merely an armchair theorist and flat out fuckboy that THINKS he knows what hes talking about... Save the hip-hop is dead commentary for Nas nigga...

    • DK

NO YOU CANT GET MONEY RIDING OTHER PEOPLE DICKS. DO IT YOURSELF, OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL.

    • HipaHop 103

So let me get this straight! If someone jacks your work and makes a killing of it, you shouldnt be entitled to anything? Thats the problem these days, producers dont get they fair respect. It aint about old rapper vs new rapper, its about business. Rappers take producers beats, dont pay em and go tour off it making millions. I swear if Finesse wins or there is a settlement for a mil, I'm making some calls to my lawyer. Time for cats to pay up.

    • Fuck you

fuck you young niggas with your skinny jeans and oversized shoes. The mixtape game needs to end its to over crowded. It should weed a lot of untalented guys out of hip hop. Yea there was a couple of guys that blew up off the mixtape game but its to many wack guys coming out with wack shit. Its to many people doing this rap shit. I hope it dies out. Im a oldschool fan and I think the game needs to change. Hip hop is watered down. Like literally its maybe 10 new school rappers thats ok. In the golden era you could name at least 50. This era is wack

Lord Finnesse is a legend. If you help pioneer this shit then you a legend. He was one of the guys that help bring cred to hip hop. Now hip hop has lost all cred from this generation.

Damn...This one is a tough decision...I mean everyone knows in the beginning Rap music would have never made it if it weren't for using someone else's beat to rhyme over. People didn't have the money back then to make their own beats because samplers, boards and not to mention studio time was very expensive...Two turntables and a Mic was all they had for a while. That format still exists to this day even in the digital era, where everything has become much cheaper. A lot of well known and highly talented artists have used other artists music to get themselves out there. Eminem, DMX, Jay-Z and Tupac have all used published beats on their demo tapes. 50 Cent made it popular with his mixtape series and there would have never been a Screwed Up Click or Swisha House if it weren't for using other folks music. Lord Finesse gotta understand suing Mac is like chipping away from that legacy that bonds Hip Hop together. Imitation is the ultimate form of flattery...Lord Finesse should be proud he made something that's timeless enough to where some kid would want to use for a mixtape and maybe get a name for himself. That's dope in my eyes because as much as shit has changed in Hip Hop culture and in the world, it has remained pure in form. I don't think he should sue but I don't think Mac Miller should be making $$$ off of his stuff either without permission...if that's the case

stop comparing mac miller to the likes eminem, jay-z, DMX and tupac miller is a joke he doesn't respect real hip hop at all, he doesn't care, rap is a joke to him he is helping to kill the culture, and so is everyone who defends him fuck him and fuck his fans too i hope finesse makes him bankrupt so he is unable to poison rap any further

  • Brian Steele

Finesse's original version sounded way tighter

  • Brian Steele

    get him Finesse!!

Selective Prosecution , people rap over other people's tracks all the time. He's just doing this cause he doesnt like the kid personally One of two things will come from this 1. Finesse will get laughed out the courtroom or 2. He'll win and within a week every rapper on earth will be getting sued for rapping over other peoples beats, like LL Cool J Suing 50 Cent for rapping over the "I Shot Ya" beat on his mixtape back in the day, claiming it was the reason he blew up, and so on and so on..... Seriously, If Finesse wins this lawsuit, kiss the mixtape game goodbye

  • Tit

I think finesse doesn't really care about the money. I think it's more to put him in his place and point out this bullshit Internet mix tape trend is wack as fuck. People need to start working with their own producers and put out some real albums instead of scrounging around on the Internet like a fucking armature looking for free beats to rap on. I get the mix tape thing. I get it. But that in combination of everyone out there thinking they can rap and drop dope it is just flooding the Internet with garbage like Mac miller. The. Some young ass kids can't even tell the difference of what is dope and what is not. Not sure if Mac credited the beat in the description but I'm sure he didn't cuz dude is a fucking retard.

  • bigrobthechamp

Damn thats crazy but hey... It is Finesse and that was a Classic beat and Mac used it and blew up from it. Sometimes you wish there was other ways to deal with that then take 10 Milli from the Kid, lol. DAMN! Check out my album, Shit is FIRE, FREE DOWNLOAD. BigRobTheChamp.BandCamp.com/

    NIGGAZ IS HUNGRY!!!

  • J-Don

Finesse has a right. Mac Miller took a classic beat, ruined it and made gay shit outta it. Finesse is a made man, do you guys realize that he hasn't dropped a studio album since 96 and he has other shit to do, right?

    • TheTruth

Yeah I agree with you on that, plus if Mac played that song once at a concert he would be making money off of the original track, thus copyright infringement. These young cats on here have no idea who Finesse is and I'm glad that there is at least someone on here sticking up for him.

  • Anonymous

Sad to see finesse stoop so low to try and make some money. The reality is he won't get shit because his beat appeared on a mixtape which is used for promotional use only. He'd be lucky to get the change out of millers pocket. All he gained from this is some publicity that will also translate to no money. The hip hop game is full of greezy niggas willing to do whatever to earn a buck. Shame

  • Most dope

This dudes a dumbass he's not getting anything because that mixtape was probably free....so Mac made zero profit he was just promoting himself

  • Anonymous

this old fool is probably broke and needs 10 million lol. bit 10 mil is ridulous mac miller didnt had a hit with it. oh and fuck mac miller.

  • Anonymous

Wouldn't be the first time Wack Miller fucked over a producer. Fuck him.

  • lmao @ 10 million, get em finesse!!!

lmao its suing season for real, the funky man does'nt want any wack rappers on his instrumentals, I'd ask for 20 million if a Mac Miller jumped on mine without any permission, straight up.

  • lol

what's ridiculous is the $10 million that he's suing Mac Miller for. does that kid even that much money?

  • FOH

If I were Mac Miller, I would have music experts going over Lord Finesse entire discography right now looking for uncredited samples and Alert every artist he jacked without permission.

  • chillin

The award for playa hater of the year...Lord Finesse! Seriously though, I don't even like Mac Miller and I consider Finesse to be a legend but this is straight hating.

  • Joe Mayo

Is Finesse serious? What is he, a salty classical or rock musician? Sure in some ways Mac using his beat might have helped him further him career a little.. but this shit was only on a mixtape right? I could see if he put it up for sale on itunes and is directly profiting from it, but thats not the case here (correct me if I'm wrong). Besides I'm sure dude has used at least a few uncleared samples throughout his career. Finesse is a legend but he's out of line here.

  • Anonymous

This is the gayest lawsuit in history How many rappers spit over other peoples beats all the time on mixtapes?? I dont like this kid either but this lawsuit is gay as fuck I hope every artist he used an unauthorized sample from creeps out the woodwork and sues this fuckin asshole, I'm sure there is a bunch of them

  • Anonymous

mac is most dope... no one likes you lord fsagot
