From July 9 until July 14, Brooklyn Bodega will be hosting its annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, featuring performances from Busta Rhymes and others. But live music isn’t the only attraction fans can expect, as Brooklyn Bodega will also be hosting its first-ever Dummy Clap Film Festival.

The Dummy Clap Film Festival will present a series of new and classic Hip Hop films on two separate days. The Festival kicks off on July 10 at 6:45 PM with a double feature of 1983’s Wild Style and 1986’s Big Fun in the Big Town, which was just re-released on DVD. A Q&A session featuring the likes of Def Jam publicist Bill Adler, Wild Style director Charlie Ahearn and others will follow each film.

The second day of the film festival will take place on July 13 at 12 PM at the reRun Gastropub Theater and will feature a number of feature length and short films. The first short film on the docket will be a documentary about Queensbridge duo Mobb Deep titled The Infamous Mobb Deep, followed by a rough cut of DJ Next’s debut Egypt Through the Glass Shop. The evening will close out with the Nelson George Film Block.
