After Tuesday’s release of his Rugby Thompson album with Harry Fraud, Smoke Dza will celebrate by bringing back Vashtie and Oscar’s 90’s revival party series “1992.” Thirstin Howl III will host the event, which features music by Just Blaze, Jazmine Solano and Kasey Berry. After a year-long hiatus, “1992” returns to serve as both the official NYC release party for Rugby Thompson and a “golden era time capsule.” The 1992 event will be held at New York’s Santos Party House at 10:00 pm. Admission is $5.

“That was the age when you’re leaving your preteens and experimenting with clothes and music,” 1992 founder Vashtie Kola told the New York Times, during a previous event.“I think even kids who weren’t in an urban area who grew up at that time can relate to that period and that year.”

On July 11, Big K.R.I.T. will set out on a month-long tour to promote his retail, Def Jam debut, Live From The Underground. The tour, which shares the same name as his album, begins at St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit. Ticket prices range from $15 to $22, with VIP packages available.
