After the fake doom scandal (hiring people to wear the mask that sound like you and rap in your place at shows) I lost ALL RESPECT for Doom. Dude fucked over his fans that way, big time. He doesn't care, and his raps are not "genius". Obscure references do not make you cool. Doom is a decent emcee, who is great at marketing and thats why he is famous. But he is not in the top 50 best rappers. His production is on point though.

NOT IN THE TOP 50 ?? YOU MUST BE 15 AND INTO EMINEM AND DRAKE... WHAT A FUC#ING STOOPID COMMENT... BEEN BUYING HIP HOP LPS SINCE 1987 AND HE IS EASILY ONE OF THE BEST EVER.. DUMB F#CK......

Does anybody actually listen to MF Doom? Literally none of his music has replay value. Dude's wicked bland. Lets be honest, he just mumbles mumbo jumbo over an obscure, raw ("brilliant") beat. The only the way I can describe his songs are a sentence with no punctuation - they have no ending, or end value to them.

geez, watch the red bull music academy interview with him... if you are able to invest any time in trying to understand something. at the very least he's been one of the few truly pushing the written word within rap music. if you can't appreciate that then ..... so be it. your loss

@alfcapone all these fake hip hoppers today lying on wax about their entire existence and you gonna blast doom for wearing a mask? lyrics aren't much to write home about? clearly dude is spittin above your head. go re-listen to madvillainy

    • Alf Capone

thats my opinion my nigga. dont let it ruin your day. its not like i havent given him a chance and its not cuz i dont listen to lyrics or lack the ability to comprehend them. you make it sound as if i wouldnt shit on a fake mc. all im saying is if i was 41 and wearing that mask on stage i might realize my gimmick has ran its course. that shit just looks ridiculous

  • Alf Capone

i know this nigga gets alotta respect cuz hes been around for a minute but look at that picture of him up top and say to urself this is a 40 yr old man. nigga is a lil older than 40 wearing that goofy lookin fuckin mask. come on man. his lyrics arent much to write home about ta boot. i loved alotta the beats on operation: doomsday. just never thought much of him as a spitter
