The New York Senate Pays Tribute To Adam "MCA" Yauch

New York State Senator Daniel Squadron writes a resolution in honor of Adam "MCA" Yauch.

Following the death of Adam “MCA” Yauch of the Beastie Boys much of the Hip Hop world paid their respects to the late rapper and now it seems that the New York Senate has called for a resolution paying tribute to Yauch.
The resolution was written by State Senator Daniel Squadron of Brooklyn Heights and mentions the New York native’s numerous accolades including his involvement in the Milarepa Fund and Oscilloscope Laboratories.
"The Beastie Boys became well-known in the innovative music scene in Manhattan's East Village and Lower East Side with a sound and a style all their own ... [they] exemplified New York through a period in which grassroots creativity and a community of iconoclastic artists helped redefine and rejuvenate a city on the ropes, with iconic imagery from Brooklyn to Ludlow Street," the resolution stated, according to MTV News.
Yauch passed away on May 4th of this year after a lengthy battle with cancer.

J: I agree with everything that have said except for your comment about BLACK. BLACK is not being extreme. He is just a foul mouthed bigot who hates his own country. I have read his other post in regards to David Banner. If America's health care is so damn bad & everything about our country sucks. Why don't bottomfeeders like him go to Europe or some 3rd world dump. I am so sick & tired of idiots like him bitching. America is not perfect but I tell you one thing. It is a lot better living here than in N. Korea. But judging by this Black Nazi's extreme views. Kim Jong Ill's son would welcome him with open arms having his dumb ass clean his toilets.

As much as black is being extreme. I feel It is important for politicians to pay more respect to hometown hip hop legends regardless of ethnicity. If BDK or Rakim dies tommorrow, there should be marching bands playing drums and road blocks.

This is true yes. but is it not also true that there are few groups like the beastie boys that have such an influence on a genre let alone one thats "not theirs" so its not like he doesn't deserve attention but hes gonna get the wrong sort of attention because he's white. Common goes to the white house and its the ignorant people who say it shouldn't happen, A beastie boy gets recognition...its racist? cmon people look at the fucking music.

BLACK: You're a racist neanderthal who hates my country. IF you hate America so much why don't you leave you terrorist. Better yet I should contact the feds and report you for making anti american/terrorist comments. You are a loser and I bet you it's people like YOU who thinks America owes you. WHATEVER!!

I agree with Black 100 %, fuck white folks in America, Terrorist these nuts!!

This guy is a true legend. RIP to one of the greats. Excellent move by the NY State Senate. MCA really put a lot of people on and paved the way for many. Jay-Z on the other hand, sets up road blocks for everyone around him so that they can't shine on their own. Jay will never be a legend like the beastie boys.
