Trial selection has begun in Lil Boosie’s murder case.

According to The Advocate, roughly 150 East Baton Rouge Parish residents will appear at the 19th Judicial District Courthouse today for possible jury duty in the case.

Potential jurors will spend today filling out questionnaires and receiving preliminary instructions from state District Judge Mike Erwin, who will be presiding over the case. Jurors will not be questioned until tomorrow, when the jury selection begins.

The jury will be anonymous and sequestered. Security at the courthouse and in the courtroom “will be heavy.”

Lil Boosie does not face the death penalty in this case, but could be given a life sentence if convicted in the murder-for-hire of Terry Boyd.
