It seems like only them white folks listen to real Hip Hop cause every nigga I see is bumping YMCMB/Maybach Music or Pimp C.

Nas should be shot for putting Officer Ricky on this album..what a complete fucking travesty.. Biggest fraud ever in the industry..former C.O. who stole another man's entire identity, right down to the fucking beard, and was even sued for it..disgusting..

  • Spike373

Another thing he could have spoke more about his life's issues; tax problems, more in depth about the break up, etc. That would have been more interesting instead of the bragging/street sh&t raps. He's been comparing this album to Here My Dear. If he's thinking that, which I think was just something to say. But, if this is supposed to be comparable Mr. Gaye's classic then less street sh&t more introspection would have been the icing on the cake. All and all in my opinion this album is worth whatever you pay to get it (the max is $65.00 on his website).

  • Spike373

I caught this jawn. Its real heat. Only criticism is that the sequencing should be tweaked a bit. But, it's a solid album as is. A lot of Nas hate is just a bunch of weird trolls that need to get over themselves. To make one point on behalf of the trolls, I bet there are b-sides and songs that didn't make the album that are out of this world. We all know Nas is strange like that. Perfect tracklist (IMHO) 1. No Introduction (Produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League) 2. Loco-Motive feat. Large Professor (Produced by No I.D.) 3. A Queens Story (Produced by Salaam Remi) 4. Accident Murderers feat. Rick Ross (Produced by No I.D.) 5. Nasty (Produced by Salaam Remi) 6. The Don (Produced by Salaam Remi, Heavy D & Da Internz) 7. Wheres The Love feat. Cocaine 80s (Produced by No I.D.) 8. Amy Winehouse (Produced by Salaam Remi) 16. Bye Baby (Produced by Salaam Remi & 40) Bonus Tracks for Deluxe Edition (on a separate CD like God Son): 17. The Black Bond (Produced by Salaam Remi) 18. The Don (Don Dada Remix) (Produced by Salaam Remi & Heavy D) (Japan Bonus Track) 19. Reach Out feat. Mary J. Blige (Produced by Salaam Remi, Rodney Jerkins, DJ Hot Day & Nas) 20. • Nas is Like

just listened to the cd shit is pure hip hop. Brought back the 90's beats like he said he would. Hi haters

  • Anonymous

This could easily debut at #1, but I think the numbers will be lower.

  • Fuck Queensbridge

This nigga can't rap for shit anymore. I guess he's getting too drugged or something. Goddamn look at this stupid useless piece of trash's new songs, all of them suck dick. I swear to God these loco niggas ain't hearing me, Nas's last good album was God's Son.

    • M

He still has his bangers I think this album is a great step forward for him. Granted the multisyllable rhyme scheme isn't what it used to be but I like this, not too fond of the features though

    • Anonymous

You're crazy, Nigger is his best album of all time.

  • Anonymous

nah, mary j. can sing, and replace rick ross with scarface, add AZ, kwest production, frank ocean hook, damian marley & k. dot

  • jdot

I thought dj premier and pete rock were confirmed producers for tracks on the album??? and i thought AZ was conFIRMed too. depressing.......

  • LIG

GET RID OF - hamilton, mary j, swizz, miguel and victoria.... ADD - kanye west, kendrick lamar, frank ocean, j. cole and damien marley FUCK SWIZZ BEATZ...still dont understand why every1 wants a beat off the guy. he hasnt made a decent beat since the doctors advocate.

  • 13Ls

Nas is greatest rapper of all time IMO...I've heard everyone of his songs not on no dick ridin shit he's g.o.a.t real talk lol pac biggie real close real close, dont bring jay-z into dis...most overrated lol eminem will obvs murk him.

  • KILLUMINATI

Nas is one of the greatest, plain and simple. There is no question that he is in the same catagory as Pac, Biggie, Mobb Deep(Prodigy), and several other Mc's. It is just sad to see what the rap game has become ever since the deaths of Pac and Big. Lil Wayne labels himself as the "king"? YEA RIGHT! The whole young money crew is full of fake ass bitches who completly sell out for the fame. I don't even want to get started with Drake, but for the record before he rapped he was in a wheel chair starring in a reality T.V. show called Degrassi.. Their lyrics are shit everyone just bobs their heads to the beats. Thats where Nas is different. He's songs have actual signifigance and story lines behind them. Can not wait to get this album. I have been waiting forever to hear Nas spit some more fire like he always has.

  • Anonymous

Not really excited about this anymore... but to respond to the people who sayin "Nas fell off" I definitely see how you can see that, but when someone falls off, it doesnt necessarily affect the quality of their music, sure Nas hasn't got much album sales since Stillmatic, but he always brings quality music to the table, and if you don't like his music, at least say why, dont just say "NAS FELL OFF YOU NIGGAS STUPID" lol, bloggers like y'all killed hip hop for me.

  • Anonymous

Hate Nas but I wont front, thats a dope cover. Still not buyin tho that tracklist looks pretty wack

  • m

Nas on some crust white dogshit. No real niggas bump his shit. Rick Ross all day, fuck Nas old ass.

    • Anonymous

nigga u on some dogshit period rick ross is hot right now but wait til his fat ass cool down then u going be saying the same thing about him.

  • KingPen

One thing I don't understand...if you guys really don't like Nas, why do you feel the need to look for articles/headlines pertaining to him, read it, look for something to criticize him on, take the time to type it out, then debate with true Nas fans who are only here to voice their support of an artist and album they like? I wonder...do yall take as much time to talk sh*t about a chick you don't like? If you really don't like Nas, why post? Last thing...just in case yall forgot... Nas: 1) is the ONLY rapper to write a classic LP as a teenager 2) Has been verbally attacked by all of the greats at one point or another (Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z (+Beans, Bleek, Rocafella) Cam (+Jim Jones and Dipset),and 50 Cent to name a few)..and NOBODY can end this dude's career. Say what you want about Nas...the niggas has been tested repeatedly. Can Wayne say the same? Who has he went against that's even worth talkin about? 3) Still makes even all his anti-fans who say he is irrelevant check for his music and take time out of their lives to talk about him Just felt like sharing that

    • Anonymous

@m Jay didn't save anything!!! Nas has and will have a strong fan base. you talk about album sales... well how does an artist's sales translate to a classic album? By this logic, If i put out a CD and buy a million copies of my own CD, then I will have a classic. Basing the success (more importantly, quality) of an album on how many CDs sold, is evidence of popularity that manifests from great marketing and advertising. Bottom line, Jay only sells because he has a bigger white fan base. therefore, it is illogical to base the quality of an album (or the quality of an artist) on how many albums it sold.

    • Anonymous

yeah they need to think about what they say about most rappers nas tells stories that makes u want to listen it's not about the beat its about what he's saying

    • isaiah

Nas thrives on his haters and yall just proved it

    • Anonymous

"1) is the ONLY rapper to write a classic LP as a teenager" do your research YOUR ON THE INTERNET! LL Cool J "Radio"

    • Anonymous

      1. Yeah Illmatic is a lnadmark but did nigga ever follow up with another classic? Didn't think so. 2. What m said 3. Why do you think Jay and Nas posts are the most popular on DX? Cause nas fans come over to Jay posts and hate on Jay, and vice versa. All three of your arguments are invalid. Keep My Dick Hard, And Keep Me Choking

    • m

Nah nigga, you got it twisted. Jay SAVED Nas career when he dissed him. Look at his late 90's album sales. Than look at Stillmatic. Don't waste your time defindeng Nas he wouldn't be here today if niggas didn't diss him

  • Dylann17

    Can't wait for this album.

I bought the deluxe package. Comes with a shirt and a book and 500 random ones will be signed by nas

i don't like ross...but hey, that wont ruin the whole album!

    • Isaiah

Im not much of a fan of Ross either but Nas sees something in him that we don't or else he wouldn't have embraced him to be on the lp

  • Anonymous

LOL!!! I'VE NEVER SEEN SO MANY SIMPLETONS IN ALL MY LIFE!!! Where did you all come from? "Nas fell off"?! Lol are you serious?! Why do they let stupid people on the internet? If you don't see why he's good...then you don't get his lyrics...and if you don't get his lyrics...then you are philistinic simpleton. Now reply young ones! Give me all of your self-proclaimed coherence, make a speech of why I am wrong and call me a hypocrite for doing it to you! You are all soooo stupid! Nas is right! Life really is good!

    • Will

wow....you said nas fell off when it was written came out??? iww was a fucking classic, would have been better then illmatic if a couple songs werent included. you clearly dont know real rap and dont deserve to listen to it if you just said a classic album was weak. Dont listen to nas and dont post on this website anymore ya heard?

    • Anonymous

lol. you're using the worst argument of all time. nas fell off as soon as iww hit stores. get over it or off yourself.

Anonymous: Schwarz, ETK and Mr Flamboyant are the greatest commenters on this site. They got common sense but Flamboyant is a Nas dickrider and I havent seen him in a bit. I think he died, lol." ^ co-sign Schwarz is the stronger thought provoking commenter out of the bunch.

  • Anonymous

as a songwriter and lyricist, business man and beat selector, nas is the most consistent in his genre not happy about the features, but still can't wait

  • Anonymous

lol. doe or die 2 could be pushed back to 2020 and NOBODY would care. but let him not appear on nas' tracklist and niggas be like: 'where's az'? you want az? buy his albums. lmao.

    • Anonymous

that's nas fault though. but i'll never understand why you niggas put faith into this dude. he's infamous for shitting on his fans.

    • Anonymous

And another thing. I own physical copies of every AZ cd as well as NaS'

    • Anonymous

There's a difference. Nas and az haven't done a song I. 8 years together all of a sudden they did omen got pics in thr studio. A touring with nas doing Illmatic shit rock the bells and sxsw and finally nas himself said he had only wanted the Ross and AZ feature to make the album So that's why we were hyped. Does that make sense to you ?

  • W H O K N O W S

RZA said he passed Nas like 10 tracks but didn't know which ones would make the album.. looks like none but oh well.. this looks like it's still gonna turn out to be a dope ass project.. hataz can eat a dick.. Nas is king!

  • Nameless

OK, I wasn't going to say anything before but now I will.....It makes me laugh how people are turning against Nas because his album isn't feature heavy with features THEY want but complain about him doing records with Rick Ross(whom I dont care for) when this is like his 4 record with the guy. I mean his planned AZ didn't make the cut but SO THE FUCK WHAT? Not to mention why are people complaining about the producers on here when MORE THAN HALF of this album's production has BOTH Salaam Remi(whom has been producing working with Nas since God's Son) and No I.D(whom is one of the best producers around)!? Obviously, this album isn't meant to be feature heavy since it's mostly personal stuff. When has that EVER been a problem? I swear some of y'all come up with any reason to complain about or turn against Nas but I just hope y'all buy, support, and enjoy the album because y'all complain about wanting real hip-hop in the mainstream but choose to download instead of buying the music to help and support it.....makes me laugh

  • Tarlson Israel (T.I.)

99% of comments here = jealous of Nas being overrated.

  • BrooklynCripsbk

shoulda left officer ricky ross off the album . rick ross cant rap stop it . only 14 tracks ? i hope this isnt gonna be a letdown flop with all the hype around this album.

    • Anonymous

^^^^^^ HAHAHAHA!!!! LOL!!! you know the reason why all of Jay-Z's fans are 13 year old girls now? Listen to 'ether'. Nas didn't have to kill Jay-Z, he died on his own. Have you heard his new music?!

    • General

Its already a flop, no matter theres Ro$$ or not. Na$ lost the fucking competition...before he even compete. #JayZmurderedNasCareer10YearsAgo

    • ^^^^

This guy above me is a fuckin' moron.

    • Anonymous

ross murdered nas, so that's pretty good for guy who 'can't rap'.

  • hahaha

People are always looking for something to complain about with Nas. He's just too good an emcee and they can't say shit about his rhymes, so they nitpick or make up things to bring him down to their level and make it seems as if he's not so great. Beats, fiances, or his personal life... Now they're even complaining about a track list of songs they haven't even heard yet. lmao Do you not see how petty the and trivial the things you complain about are? It's sad... When people try to bring you down to their level, that's when you know you're winning. I'm sure if Nas ever reads this stuff (He doesn't) he's laughing his ass off at how pathetic you're lives must be. Dude lives in a mansion, with money, cars, women...Life is good. Instead of crying about the next man, go and do something with your own life.

  • Anonymous

Even if AZ & Raekwon were on this album in place of Rick Ross, you guys STILL wouldn't buy it. So what's the point of you guys constantly bitching & complaining for better features if you won't even buy the album in the first place?

    • blackhoodie

u niggaz iz clowns, prob listen to niki or wayne or some lame shit if nas wasnt relevant u wouldnt be on the article fake fucks pull ya skirts down

who the fuck cares about buying? oh you think Na$ is mainstream? Oh shit, then Na$ is a fucking loser, who cant sell. the album is already a flop.

"JUST cause you not buying it doesn't mean we ain't buying it". I'm already gonna buy the album, dick turd. Nice try of predicting the future, though. And as for Anonymous #2, how can you be so sure of that?

    • Anonymous

not even nas stans are going to buy it.

fuck Nas anyway Jay already outsold this nigga y'all claim to be Nas fans and shit but when his album drops nobody buys it why is that?

  • FURYAN

THAT ALBUM RIGHT THERE IS GONNA BE THE ISHT !!!

  • The MG

Some of these comments are so ridiculous that it almost makes me wanna puke. Lol @ all of the people making up their wet dream tracklist for the album or telling Nas who he should collaborate with. The album is called Life Is Good, and it's talking about going through difficult times and how you can stay positive and push through. It's not an epic, lyrical, clash of the titans, fight to the death type album you guys are trying to make it out to be. How the fuck is Canibus or some other underground rapper going to fit in this album? Nas would be talking about some grown man shit in one verse, and the next verse, Canibus would be talking about the moon, stars, scienitifc matter or some other non-related topic, and you fools would still say he killed Nas. Lmao, all y'all fools kill me with that talk. I'm glad Nas is doing him and pissing all you stubborn people off.

    • Anonymous

stfu, Nas is acting all up. Canibus is better rapper in many terms

    • Anonymous

Nas stans can shit on other rappers allday to make him bigger than he is, but are the first to cry when Nas himself gets attacked.

    • Anonymous

Nas can do him, but that won't work forever. You can't shit on your fanbase and just hope that they will always continue to support you. He doesn't need a random underground rapper, but what is up with Common, Lupe Fiasco, Elzhi, Raekwon, AZ or Madlib, L.E.S., Kanye, 9th Wonder or Premo on the boards? His fans made him what he is today. What has happened to Lost Tapes 2?

Has anyone seen the trailer for the album?!? This album is about what he's going through, his personal struggles that the media amplified into something larger than life. Why would he feature a bunch of so-called best lyricists when they haven't endured what he has. I buy a Nas album for the content, the message, the pure poetic justice he brings to the game. Not to hear a bunch of cool drums or a club banger, I leave that to those in it for material gain instead of the true artform. Let Nas tell Nas's story.

    • Anonymous

ohh i see; if its poetry, it's gay. yeah hip hop fans have to be the dumbest human beings on the planet. fact

    • Louis "Vuitton" Gunardo

      >call me li Prove something before you talk stupid. Nas is gay, thats already common thing in this site. Nas = gay poet. Illmatic = only best production, Nas did nothing. Life is Good = another boring album without any competetion to prove Nas is best. Nas = wack rapper.

@anonymous I hope your ignorance is bliss...one day when you seek it you will see the light though lol

    • Anonymous

nas is gay and scared of true lyricists because that has always been a one-sided murder. he was COMPLETELY destroyed and outshined in every single department by a reggae artist for the course of a whole album. lol @ this nigga and his delusional stans claiming he's the best lyricist when he's always taking the easy way out by featuring the wackest ringtone rappers. how can this loser be even close to goat status when he was demolished and fully outclassed by his weedcarriers in his absolute prime? lmao.

    • Life Is Good

You'd have only one DJ Premier track!? will.i.am? seriously? I didn't pick a Dr. Dre track because his production has been very very bad lately, and you've picked a load of old school rappers, Nas needs to stay relevant so he should hook up with Rappers/Singers who are hot right now (NO YMCMB MMG thought)

  • Jones

Mc's that could out rap Nas in his own album include, AZ, Killah Priest, Canibus, Ras Kass, Chino XL, Last Emperor, Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, Slick Rick, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Andre 3000, Kurupt, GZA, Ghostface, Ice Cube, Eminem, Pharoah Monch, Krs-One, Rakim, Kool G Rap, and Vast Aire And those are the rappers Nas would never invite in his albums excl. AZ. He'll continue inviting rappers he could out rhyme like Ross

    • Anonymous

lol kurupt, really? no sir good list but nas belongs on top.

    • Louis "Vuitton" Gunardo

dont forget Jay-Z actually murdered Nasir's career in the past, when this guy tried to be ESCOBAR and stay on mainstream, lmao. Nas = 90's Rick Ross

    • Anonymous

word. HOW in the fuck can this clown be crowned the best lyricist when he is fucking FRIGHTENED of true competition? killah priest, az, cormega, scarface, g. rap, apathy, jay and prodigy are just a few of the guys who destroyed him with ease. and then you got guys like elzhi, croked i, lupe fiasco and reks who would do the same to him. this nigga was never the best and when he think about it, he's not even in the top 50 when it comes to pure skills.

  • Ying Yang

Would love to hear a Nas + Last Emperor collabo on a concept track Last Emperor may not be big, but he's go flow for days, and can rhyme his ass off plus with concept he's up there with your Nas, Killah Priest & Slick Rick

    • Louis "Vuitton" Gunardo

any real rapper out there can out rhyme Nas. even Game can out rhyme. Nasir = fake

    • Anonymous

lmao. last emperor's abilties are far and beyond above that of what nas low skillset would ever allow him to think of. last emp's music, magic, myth is FAR better than illmatic lyrically and conceptually. you want to be the best? prove it. a true emcee is completely about competition. considering nas is a phony, he will never go out there to compete against the best out there.

  • ETK

Thank god I thought he would colaborate with fake niggas like RZA Pimp C Young Jeezy Jim Jones Eminem or Pusha T

Like Jay-Z did with The Blueprint had one guest but at least it was a very highly talented rapper, I think Nas isn't willing to get a real lyricist on his album because he dissed Jay about getting killed on HIS own shit, and he Nas gets killed it's gonna taint one of the greatest diss songs ever.

all you bitches will be exposed a week after the release of the culture thief's album. pure talent and nas don't belong in the same sentence together. lmao. you got your true artist picking nothing but guys with buzz that proudly destroy the value of a whole track instead of working with somebody who's capable of executing the concept. but yeah, gnozeer posesses so much integrity. lmao. all you guys are in denial. i think you guys love to be fooled. he signed to jay and def jam after calling them greedy and evil. he's working with the guys that he accused of killing hip hop just a few years ago. but keep sucking off that guy and lower the standards for this so-called true rapper after every disappointment of his. hahahaha.

"We need to support" ^ most of these comments come from kids who don't even buy their own deodorant. Their internet access is on their parents' dime or school usage. Someone pointed out below in all caps, they're walking contradictions. These are not the people that will all of a sudden close their browser, become an outstanding citizen, and support something true. A good 87% are internet abusers, 10% are link followers who only want to spew hidden agenda (yes there are groups out there that only show up when it's a political or a racial issue), 3% are actually Hip Hop music lovers. Best thing to do is point out the false information and don't forget that statistic.

  • Afan

Swizz beatz seriously? Fuck me dead. You couldnt have got a worse producer. Where's premier, large pro, Pete rock production. Where's AZ, mobb deep, cormega collaboration.

  • Omecca

20 songs, that's whats up. I'm guessing "Summer on Smash" is the next single??? With Swizz behind the boards, that should prove interesting...

"was born in the 90's and i grew up listening to stillmatic etc." LMAO Chronic 2001 was released in 1999... and in 2000 The Marshall Mathers LP dropped (Classic), and what you also said The Blueprint (Classic) The College Dropout (Classic).

BOI 1DA, BUCKWILD, AL SHUX (WHO IS THAT?), SWIZZ, 40, DRAKE'S BOY, DA INTERNZ, JUSTICE LEAGUE, NO ID, KANYE'S BOY, ARE ON IT & Y'ALL STILL WHININ ABOUT SALAAM. NAS EVEN HAS A PRODUCTION CREDIT! AND THE GREATEST FCUKBOI MOVE, Y'ALL ALL ANALYTICAL ABOUT MUSIC YOU AIN'T EVEN HEARD YET NOW TRY TO EXPLAIN HOW YOUR "OPINION" SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY

    • Louis "Vuitton" Gunardo

We need only few tracks to prove Nasir is a better lyricist than some true MCs in the street. We hate DJ Khaled type featuring but one or two features aint nothing.

    • Anonymous

lol. nas is so desperate for a hit that he's working with jay's producer after he saw empire stateof mind going skyrocket. nas, you dumb fuck, it's not the producer's fault, it's just your own incapability.

Damn son just Ethered the whole comment section with the most logical comment I've seen Kudos

    • Anonymous

Schwarz strikes again...... @TheMG I didn't even know that...

    • Nastrils

If Nas' idea is to take it to boom bap, than producers like Marley Marl, Dr Dre, Large Professor, Pete Rock, Will.I.Am fit the profile, and guest artist like Krs-One, Rakim, Kool G Rap, Scarface, and AZ fit the profile not Ross??????????????????? I mean how the fuck do you justify the Officer being featured here?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    • The MG

Your comment is spot on! Couldn't agree more. And to answer your question, Al Shux is the guy that made Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind". Should be interesting to hear that since it was rumored that Nas was to appear on the song with Jay.

I MEANT THE PRODUCTION WILL BE HUGE

Hmm...I think the realest song on this album is Accident Murderer. Especially the second verse.

the fuck is everyone bitching about collabs, they aren't there because he doesn't need them... he can hold down an album on his own

    • Anonymous

nas is a bitch. the only album he held down by himself was illmatic and that was only because he got the best producers of that era on the bords. the weedcarrier had the best verse on that whole lp. lmao.

they arent there because Nas is scared the shit out of all the lyrical rappers out there. Nas aint a gangsta, he is a poet. He is just as fake as Rick Ross actin like gangsta while he is a cop.

Fans have this argument all the time. Why don't their favorite rappers have better collaborations? The truth is they can't afford them. It's much easier to get a bunch of R&B catz on your songs than to shell out for Wayne. 50. Jay. Ross is on the album, but at what cost? In the old days, people just made things happen. You wanna hear Jay, DMX and Ja on a track. Done. These days, it's all red tape and politics.

    • Boulder

Having DMX, Ja, and Jay on a track together wasn't a big issue because they were all essentially on the same label.(Had to point that out but the rest I agree with)

    • Tougher Colder Killer

"nas contradicts himself with every album." that was a 7 year just entered an argument and give it his best shot, your statement is completely off point.

    • K.A.M.O.R. (King At My Own Risk)

More featured = dj khaled album!!! yes that Ricky Sauce collab is redundant though the album aint wack if theres no Kendrick Lamar collab in it!!!! u fuck face

your right a lot of it is politics but the rest of your comment is bullshit, you contradicted yourself.

  • jk

Nas should of put dmx on a track those two together are dopee

  • Anonymous

Jay Z's money, clout, and overall success/popularity is why Nas fans dislike Jay Z and his fans so much. All of that stuff makes Nas fans extremely insecure when it comes to Jay Z. You can say that Nas has always been a better lyricist and made better music, but thats just an opinion. You can never win that argument with someone who doesn't agree. The money, the clout, and the popularity issues aren't up for debate though. Trust, if Nas had the upper hand then the Nas fans would bring those issues up constantly to try and separate Nas from Jay Z.

    • PM2126

Why do people always bicker with the whole Jay Z/Nas thing? It was literally a decade ago, let it go.

Can anyone try and figure which tracks are double entendre on this playlist...every album Nas got does some story telling and sometimes double entendres like 'I gave you power", "fried chicken", "Project Roach" or some ill story teling like "Rewind" Can figure which one of these titles is a dope story or double meaning song?

  • Street Diciple

Ok fellas, lets zoom in on this Nas' fear to collabo with real lyricist, and run back the timeline this is Nas' 10th solo album, which one of his album really features the dopest lyricist if some die hard fans are saying Nas has done it all? Scarface is the only mc is see, but at the same time Face ain't no word play, metaphor, or punchline nigga...he's strength is story telling so as Nas, but favor for a favor wasn't all that it was just basic...in fact face had a better production on The Fix album, that song ft Nas Mob Deep on Nastradamus? don't even wanna talk about that album, its the weakest of the ten albums if not Street Diciple So Who has Nas ever called that you'd say is a real lyricist in all of his ten albums besides AZ?...i don't consider Jay Z a real lyricist so don't mention him Am talking well rounded niggaz who cover all corners of Hip Hop lyrically...niggaz that are good with metaphors, punchlines, double meaning, personification, poetry and story telling...Who Has He Ever Called? Nobody, instead when he gets called by real lyricist to collabo, he never pitches up When Jay Z was still a lyricist during the Reasonable Doubt days, Nas never pitched....When L Boogie called him for the classic & album of the century, Miseducation, Nas never pitched was he scared L Boogie would out rhyme him? When Raekwon called him for Verbal Intercourse 2, Nas never pitched? When The Firm called on Canibus, his verse was absent or removed whatever the case but it was not present...surfaced on Desperado 2, but still couldn't out rhyme Canibus Killah Priest out rhymed him on both 'Gun for Gun", and 'The Saints" ... Ras Kass out rhymed him on the Sway & TEch live on air freestyle feat L Boogie, Big L and others Biggie wanted him to be a part of Life After Death, but he didn't want to? He once said Royce is nice, and would like to sign in, but till today nothing has surfaced? he only featured Eminem on production on God's Son, where's the verse? Nas has been called by Greats to collabo with him but never calls any real spitters on his albums, and settles with lower grade rhymers like Ross, & The Game...does songs with R&B artist like Chris Brown, & Ginuwine?????????? The only time Nas spit ether is when he's with real lyricist,,,,listen to 'Crime Cardinals" with Priest, 'Desperado 2' with Canibus, "Verbal Intercourse" with Ghost & Rae, 'let my niggaz live' with Wu tang Fact is, Nas drowns in collabos with real lyricist...he does not command presence like a Canibus would and i think that's he's greatest fear...losing respect if he were to be out rhymed by the lyrical greats Why he never calls on Talib or Immortal Technique for political songs? why he never calls on Killah Priest for painting live pictures in our minds? Why he never calls on Slick Rick for story telling? Why he never calls on Canibus to spit some science with? for drug stories on songs like his latest, 'accident murders', everybody agrees AZ is better fit for that track than an off topic Officer Ross...Scarface the Geto Boy could have also played a better role with some nice story telling of whats going on the streets of accident murders

if only Sosa was with a major, we would call for Nas on an AZ album...Maybe Def Jam or Good Music or somebody major needs to sign AZ AZ & Nas collabo is the highest pair on demand next to Andre 3000 & Big Boi...we know Nas is bigger than AZ, and Andre is bigger than Big Boi, but we still prefer a duo album than individual...what does that tell you? People love their chemistry,...Nas + AZ or Andre + Big Boi is like Hydrogen + Oxygen...perfect marriage...Ying & Yang

I agree. But the track they did together will get released shortly after album drops. It happened in 04 with serious. That didn't make streets disciple got leaked out like two weeks after cd. I remember that. Plus. Could be on AZ doe or die 2 coming out in February

Nasir LOSING mad points with me fucking with Ross's sloppy ass. Why so many of these dudes willing to comprimise what they stood for, for so many years in trade for some relevance? FUCK Ross, dude is a disgrace I could care less how FLAWLESS his production is, dude spits crumbs on the mic. You dissapointing me Nas as the years go on homie, you a shell of your former self. DO THIS, get back with 50 like the OLD braveheart days, mix that up instead of pleasing these KIDS and mixing up with an industrial driven cocaine dealer. I'm still coppin it tho, still should be good.

  • toppa shot

We did see flicks of Nas and AZ in the studio together so they'll put out something at some point. Even though they've done plenty together i'd still rather hear AZ on the album over an off topic verse from Ross. As far as features, Nas never floods his albums with guest spots. This isn't a DJ Khaled or Rick Ross album where there are twice as many features than songs. At this point in his career he doesn't need to be cramming his album with today's so called elite lyricists. The artists he rocked with back in the day are way better than what's out now...Rae, Ghost, G Rap, Mega, Nature, AZ, Mobb Deep, Busta, DMX, Kiss, Scarface, Slick Rick...the list goes on. He has nothing left to prove. My only beef is that Salaam is taking up half the production when there are so many others that he could work with.

    • SMH

lol, Nas is just trying to convince us Salaam Remi is a dope producer...he's forcing him down our throats no matter how much we reject him, nas will force him down again....no matter how much we cry, yell & demand for Nas > Premo > AZ collabo, Nas turns around and gives us Ross ????????????????????????????????????

People just say it now to say it....Can you imagine its not even about Nas anymore lol...like AZ doesn't have albums..go buy that...in the mean time this is a NAS album..I nvr thought I'd see the day ppl hated you for not having features lol...WTF!!! how about y'all clamor for AZ to have an album with Nas on it

    • Anonymous

Not only at. Nas said Ross and az were the only features. Then this happens

    • Street Diciple

They would clamor for Nas on an AZ album if only Sosa was with a major...Maybe Def Jam or Good Music or somebody major needs to sign AZ AZ & Nas collabo is the highest pair on demand next to Andre 3000 & Big Boi...we know Nas is bigger than AZ, and Andre is bigger than Big Boi, but we still prefer a duo album than individual...what does that tell you? People love their chemistry,...Nas + AZ or Andre + Big Boi is like Hydrogen + Oxygen...perfect marriage...Ying & Yang

  • It Was Written

If he got real lyricists on a track with him he might react like Eminem does and step his game up, personally I think he needs the competition to push him.

  • Anonymous

Following Nas' career is so fucking underwhelming, even for a fan. I mean, he always releases hot fire (Nasty) before an album and then he drops the supposed best track and comes back with something like this? SMH. No wonder that his unreleased shit is far above that what he shows on his official offerings.

  • MccrayAgnes

*the day before Nas drops tracklist for Life Is Good Nas fan: "Nas is the G.O.A.T.! No one in the game can fuck with him!" *the day Nas drops tracklist for Life Is Good Nas fan: "Nas is scared to compete with real lyricists. What a bitch. Because of that, he needs to hang up the mic now." Jesus, what's wrong with you so called "Hip-Hop heads"? Some of the most fickle people on the face of the Earth reside on this website. smh

  • Mankin

If you like HIP HOP you will love this song! http://soundcloud.com/mankin-1/the-blue

  • Anonymous

Nas is scared to collab with real competition as the person below me said, he would never get on a track with Crooked I, Elzhi or even Kendrick Lamar even tho he could still keep up with them. He's mentally weak.

    • Jasper Murdock

Why should he acknowledge Elzhi? Rakim never cosigned Nas. Elzhi doesn't need him to co sign him everyone knows he is dope. Elmatic was ILL but any dope writer lyricist could have put that album out because it was molded by a classic album! The live band made it special.

    • Anonymous

that he never even acknowledged elzhi was a foul move on his part.

    • Anonymous

first of all...he wouldn't collab with crooked I because they are not the same style of rapper at all. Plus his fans want an album with him. He has been there and done that with features. He has been on songs with rappers much better than kendrick. I agree with elzhi though, after his homage to illmatic he should have put him on

  • Anonymous

this nigga is scared of real competition. fucking loser. he knows elzhi, crooked, lamar or lupe would easily murder him.

  • Anonymous

cant believe everyones hating koz he dosnt hav many famous guest features lol, every other album out their has millions of features and looks a like DJ's album. dumb fucks dont knw hiphop

  • Omecca

What type of songs have Justice League and Buckwild done? Just curious, because I'd like to hear their style of production.

    • Anonymous

JUSTICE League makes kinda pop hits/south shit but also some more soulful piano beats. Buckwild used to be dope in the mid-90's producing for O.C. but he fell off. everything I heard of him lately (which is not much) has been straight up wack. kinda surprised seeing his name there

  • So Icy Boi!

yo nigga! real talk. when i was 4 y old I was listeing to Illmatic with ma dad and I hated it, I hated hip hop. I thought hip hop is wack like Nas and Wu Tang Clan.... when I wuz 13 I heard Lil Waynes Got Money and Lollipop and I liked hip hop again. • South Africa

Good to see No ID dominating the production though :)

  • South Africa

Think Nas is just scared to rhyme with the greatest lyricist Wouldn't a west coast MC fit the profile better for 'Accident Murders' than fake thug wanna be Rick Ross? Like Crooked I, Ras Kass or even Dr Dre ghost written for by a dope lyricist Rick Ross & Nas is not favoured by fans who appreciate true lyricism as we see as a plot to sell units. WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU, U NEED MORE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! am only looking foward to the Amy Winehouse track in this. Atleast that's perfect pairing like you and Lauryn Hill, or AZ, Premo, & Jay Z

  • Quest

I swear to God the day i buy another Nas album is the day he listens to his fans and work with Premo, AZ, Rakim, Krs-One and other lyrical greats. Id rather go to Wallmart and buy Illmatic, coz i know it timeless Everything else he's released after that, it worth downloading Smarten Up Nas - Jay Z did advise you once, smarten up man while you still got your spot in the game

  • The Observer

U know what Einstein said about doing the same thing over and over again expecting diff results Nas? - Insanity be a good coach, and place everyone in their position and let them play their positions. Let an A&R be an A&R, a music director handle beat selection and song compiling, a producer do his production, a marketer do the marketing and you just focus on coming up with concept and vocaling the beats trust me, you will win and go down in history with multiple classic albums under your belts not just one album, but many BE SMART NAS

    • James

People here are so serious. Thinking they really giving advice to Nas?! "BE SMART NAS"?! Are you kidding? Just respect the mans music, if you aint a fan, don't buy it. I'm looking forward to the album, although I am skeptical of the Rick Ross feature.

  • The Observer

that's why we download and not buy...coz Nas don't rap with lyricist but raps with who's hot out right now...Ricky Rozay, u kidding me? what punchlines, story telling abilities does Rick Ross have, or word play or double meaning lines? what the fuck is wrong with Nas, why is he scared to feature talented lyricist on his tracks instead he puts fake mob wanna be clowsn like Ross just so he can push units guess what Nas, we gon download this shit for free...will only buy a Nas album that features real lyricist like Canibus, Killah Priest, Ras Kass, AZ, Rakim, KRS-One, Kool G Rap, GZA and more with production supplied by RZA, Premo, Kanye, No ID, Focus, and Alchemist not these rubbish beats by Salaam Remi Nas is fu)k!ng with us, and that will be his downlfall...Illmatic remains your only classic album maybe coz u had no control over beats and was new in the game...if that's what worked to make a classic, then you should resort back to that...let someone who's got an ear for music be the music director and you just focus on the rhymes. How about that Nas? Like how corporate companies work....HR Manager focuses on HR duties, Finance Director focuses on the fnances of the company, IT focuses on the technical issues and so on. U don't get IT trying to do Marketing. Nas must just do rhymes, and let a music director worry about what beats are to be rhymed over than you'll have a classic See the reason Biggie has two classic albums in a row, was coz Big focues on the rhymes, and Diddy focused on the music How hard can it be Nas...dont fuck wit your fans...if you believe you a great lyricist then lets see you spit along side great lyricist...u can't have Mike Tyson, Ali, fyting a ligtweight...it heavyweight vs heavweight, and lightweight vs lightweight. Rick Ross must do songs with Young Jeezy and them, and Nas do songs with niggaz who match his lyrical ability. Your Eminem, Royce da 5'9, Talib Kweli, Pharoah Monch, Black Thought, Mos Def, and Last Emperor Am dissapointed to see Royce on the list considering he has not been around since the 80's if Nas' concept was taking it back to the 80's and 90's era. Where is Premo, and Dre as they been around since then? Nas u just as good as coming up with good concepts for your albums, and writing solid shit, but not that good at executing your ideas. If a person has an idea for a movie, does not mean he should write and direct it too if he's not that visionary. Do your shit like a team Nas. like a soccer team. Brazil soccer team, everyone is skilled at their posistion and all co-ordinate and work like a well oiled machine. it an eco-system, but Nas tryna do everything himself and for 20yrs in the game he's making the same mistake over and over again his fans complain

    • Anonymous

And this is why a lot of rappers end up going with the trend & end up selling out. Cause people like you just download this shit for free & don't support.

    • Anonymous

Felt like I just read one of the LOTR books. Jesus-tap-dancing-Christ.

  • Anonymous

This weak nigga doesnt want to get RENEGADED on his own shit that is why he ignored all the top dawgs and put officer ricky. Why not AZ, Kdot, Eminem, Jay-z? He knows what he's doing. I will still download for free though. I am done buying albums. I have over 1000 cds in my collection.

    • GOAT

I'm reading a lot of ignorance here. I've followed Nas's work from the early 90's. I will buy the album. It's good to be diverse and he is. Life is good is the name of the album not illmatic nor stillmatic. If you don't like it, don't comment. Stop given your advices when most of you can't even advice your self. Nas, I love the concept. Keep your ideas comimg.

    • Anonymous

you're completely right. a true emcee is seeking the hardest competiton out there. az and others of his caliber don't need this fucking sellout.

  • Almar

Haven't Bought Many albums in the last 3 years except Watch The Throne and Live From The Underground, Add Life Is Good to That List Come July 17th.

  • Breal

Premo said he and nas discussed the future and that his next project after Defjam is with DJ Premier. Dont mourn juss yet.... Life is gonna be good.....

  • Halogen

To be honest I'm glad that AZ and Rae aren't on the album cause maybe those features wouldn't fit this album..I think he will save those 2 collabo's for the Nas&DJ Premiere album which would be more of a 90's throwback album....I want all of U to notice Nas's takeover of Music..Watch U can't sleep on the realness of Nas's subject matter...The Man makes albums Complete albums...There R plenty of artists in this game that all sound the same or all have the same sound...Not Nas the man forever stays in his own lane...U have to respect that i don't give a F---.....See ya'll need to dig into your souls and search for the true meaning of Music...What it should reflect Nas has taken us through his journey of life since he was 18..And continues to do so on a high level..

    • Is it "Oochie Wally Wally" or is it "One Mic"? Is it "Black Girl Lost" or shorty owe you for ice?

lol @ him staying in his own lane.

    • Breal

Word.... Nas's albums are different from one to the next. i like the idea that he hasn't allowed one producer to define his career. He's worked with notably Large Proffessor Dj Premier L.E.S Trackmasters Salaam Remi on most projects and now No.ID

  • BLACK

CANT WAIT FOR THIS MY NIGGA NASIR!!!

  • Fuck Marcy

Ayo I went to the listening party last week. Trust me the little snippets that were previewed were on point. That Miguel callab is all of it...and that Bond sh*t will take you back to the golden era of Hip Hop.

  • BK

For real though Idgaf as far as who's not on the album. Nas has alwayz been one of the rare one's who can str8 carry an album by himself. So what if you're fav producer or fav emcee didn't make the final cut, the fact of the matter is ppl should be amp up on this soon to be classic opus that our Hip Hop savior NaS will bless with next month.

  • Anonymous

this definitely looks like an album portraying continuous maturity on Nas' part. It looks like a grown man's album, recklessness and dumb content omitted. It'll be interesting. I want to place bets that this will definitely be better than the untitled album to say the least.

  • ap

people sound too pressed for some az or dj premier...i like both artist and producer also, but not really that serious. nas and jay as another example never had their albums full with a bunch of rappers, 80% plus of their albums never had more than like 2-3 rappers on their cds, unless maybe it was from their respective crews....all i care is if the album is dope

  • Anonymous

Disappointed that AZ & Preemo aren't on this album. BUT, that's not gonna stop me from buying this album on the 10th. Can't wait.

  • kennyken

awww shit! looks like nas is trying to beef up that production selection!!! man i'm straight pre-ordering this from amazon! yessir

  • Anonymous

Thank God no Young Money Contributions. Thank FUCKING LORD.

    • Moron

Moron. You inadvertently did what you are against. Brining up garbage that is not related to the topic. Swallow glass shards and die.

  • Dick B

I'm looking forward to the Anthony Hamilton collab the most. To be honest this is a disappointing tracklist, no collabs with the rappers and producers people particularly like to see work with Nas on here like AZ, DJ Premier, Raekwon, Pete Rock, Large Professor (on the production tip), Mobb Deep, ect. It's nice to see Buckwild though. Salaam Remi and No I.D. are solid producers so it can't be too bad an album.

    • Dick B

I'll concur that AZ isn't the rapper he once was, but it isn't like he's downright terrible or anything. I think he's still capable of spitting a solid verse. And Rae's flow isn't boring, I can't help if you feel that way.

    • Anonymous

az is washed up plus raekwon has a boring flow

    • Dick B

I'm not surprised at all though that none of the guys I've mentioned haven't worked gotten it done with Nas on this album. I tend not expect much from Nas anymore in terms of who he's rumored to have worked with for his new albums because I almost always have ended up disappointed. Even RZA was said to have gave Nas some beats for this album.

    • Anonymous

I think its a tracklist but I agree with you very strongly on two points. where the fuck is AZ and Raekwon?

  • Anonymous

kinda wish Nas had a track with Az on a premo beat...smh

  • Anonymous

damn no 9th wonder joint or premo? C'MON NAS!!!!!

  • DAT

I highly doubt any of y'all niggas saying Nas is real this Nas is real that will actually buy this album. Shit won't sell more than 50.000 copies on the first week and that faggot Lil Wayne sells 985.000 SMH

    • Almar

Nas at least gonna sell 250k plus his first week, check his last 2 albums for the proof, no matter what era of record sales we're in, Nas record will sell and have substance, Can't say that about 99% of rappers anymore.

  • Anonymous

The fuck. Still no AZ or Primo beats, get your head out your ass Nas, i can't believe he still fucking with dem Salaam Remi horse shit beats. Probably not copping after this disappointing ass track list.

    • Dick B

@ASEE - Well, yes that is true to an extent, Premo hasn't been as consistently good/great as he's been in the past, though I'm pretty certain with the selectiveness of Nas and with Premo really wanting to impress/get work in with Nas they'd still make a very good record together.

    • ASEE

Premo been making some pretty lame beats lately man. Dude's a legend, but he hasn't been bringing it legendary status

  • Hip Hop Historian

so i'm guessing all the "day1" Nas fans (inc. myself) were looking forward to a Premo/AZ collab, yes i am disappointed... BUT! look at the tracklist its still beautiful! production by NO I.D. SALAAM REMI HEAVY D!! (i can dig the rest).. features, Amy Winehouse! (she might've been a coke head but she could sing), Miguel (1 of the last people i'd think to make it on a Nas album, but he is THE shit right now), Anthony Hamilton (pure legend), ricky's oryt, Cocaine 80's are sick! they keep it real!, it was good to see the beautiful Mary J!, and to see LARGE PRO on there should bring the illmatic memories back! .. so whats all the fussing about?...

  • Big C

Man i thought AZ was go make da album...and 9th wonder said he had a beat for Life Is Good...Oh well fuck it..I'm still snatching dis album jus cause I'm a HUGE Nas fan.. Fuck yall up in here predicting the album for saying its going to be garbage?? Yall come up on a nas article everytime it pops up on HHDX to hate on this man..Get a fucking LIFE and stop worrying about how much the man got in his pockets, why he collaborate with YMCM,RICK ROSS,blah blah blah...SHUT DA HELL UP and GROW DA FUCK UP...LETZ GO ECSCO!!! 7/17/12

  • tm102

jay z - $450mil, 14 grammys, 5 classic albums nas - $6mil in debt, 0 grammys, ONE classic album over 19 yrs, and signed up 2 def jam, no hit songs since 2006 end of story

    • bob cobb

5 classics? FOH.. Jay's got 2- Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint, and Nas has 2- Illmatic and It Was Written. And Stillmatic is near-classic.

    • Dick B

@Anonymous - You honestly care about the results of the Grammys? Just because an album wins Album of the Year I have to believe that that was actually the album of the year? (for example Jay-Z's Hard Knock Life, Vol. 2 beating Big Pun's Capital Punishment in '98 for Best Rap Album of the Year). Grammys are all politics and such, and plenty of artists don't get their shine (for another example, The Roots have been nominated a number of times for Best Rap Album of the Year - I think four - and not won once. In conclusion, The Grammys don't mean sh*t, especially nowadays. And since when do album sales matter? Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga sell millions upon millions of records, so I'm suppose to believe that they are better artists than others just because they have more platinum records on their walls? No, sales don't really mean anything. Musical taste is all opinion, so it's cool if you think Jay-Z is the better artist/rapper, but don't tell me I have to think so also just because he has sold more records and won more Grammys.

    • Anonymous

Well the people that matter say otherwise. The Industry (Grammys) and fans (sales) say that Jay is better. I can't think of anyone else that counts

    • Dick B

I'd say Jay-Z only has three albums that are in contention for being consider "classic" and those are Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, and The Black Album. Even though I enjoy In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 and American Gangster an awful lot there aren't quite classics. Nas on the other hand has Illmatic, Stillmatic, and It Was Written which could easily be considered "classics". Throw The Lost Tapes in there too, which I actually believe his second best album. What do Grammys matter, especially in this day and age? Or more over, what does amount of money a rapper has have to with quality of music or level of rapping? Nas is the better artist and rapper, though probably not quite the better businessman.

    • BIG C

Once again, prime example of another dumb fucker right here worrying about who got more money than nas...jayz dont giv a flying fuck bout u bragging on his bank account...the moral of the story is...HE AINT GIVEN U SHIT.(period) Dumb AZZ!!

    • ASEE

I was with you until AMerican Gangster. That album is solid, but it's not a classic

    • tm102

RD, blueprint1, black album, hardknock life and american gangster are all 10/10 classics

    • Anonymous

      jay-z 5 classic albums? lol u tripping i think only 2

  • Jus10 (continued)

Still sounds good. Not judging before I can hear it.

  • Jus10

Sounds good... but the title "Life Is Good" is a little misleading, especially that most of this is simple hood mental. I was hoping for more of the mature Nas from Distant Relatives. Still will check it out though.

  • Anonymous

as a huge nas fan this is pretty disappointing. so many ppl he was supposed to have on here feel thru and same with production. Why would he not have DJ Premier on here. I kno his decision making must be crap because he chose for the don to make the album and not nasty? doesnt make any sense

    • Blaqonlinedotcom

Premiere already spoke on this, he said what he gave Nas didnt really fit the album, but he and Nas agreed to start working on the Nas and Premiere Album this year.... Premiere SPECULATED it could be called "Finally"

    • NONO

What?...Who cares about features on a Nas album?...NO I.D and Salaam have a great sound for Nas... I will add that the Dj premier and Trackmasters are seriously missed...Maybe he's saving those tracks from him and Premiere, for their album...If it ever really goes through..

  • Anonymous

  • The MG

Only thing that disappointed me was the rumored AZ collabo didn't come through. But it's okay, the tracklist still looks good. Nice seeing Nas and Large Pro together again.

  • Anonymous

Several average singles and one good one, no AZ no Premo... Yeah definatly not going to be rushing to the store to get this....

  • Anonymous

I thought the RZA said once that he had beats for Nas. oh well. The production roster is mostly better than RZA anyway

  • unbiased

looking forward to it and is gonna be the one of the few albums ill actually pay for.

  • Shady 2.0

Should have got El-P on some beats & features, any of Black Hippy, Logic can spit fire, put out some money to get Kanye on a beat or Just Blaze, where the fuck is a Common feature after Ghetto Dreams it should have been a certainty, Big K.R.I.T. hot right now, could have got Frank Ocean or The Weeknd for a hook instead of fucking Anthony Hamilton, I' d say any of Slaughterhouse but you don't wanna be getting killed on your own shit, J. Cole would have been nice, Jon Connor, A DJ PREMIER BEAT!!! Still nice to see a Buckwild beat. But you know I'm not really that opinionated about this lol.

    • Huffy

Thats what its all about what he wants u gronk all he knows is what he wants and who cares if he likes mainstream I like some mainstream who u think buys all the cds man lil girls and lil boys why u think em changed his style and started rapping with rihanna and lil wayne he wants to sell why nas making music with nicki minaj he want to sell too and WHY is that so bad just let them make music if u dont like try another music or better yet BUY SOME that u do like and they will keep making it not be forced to make music for kids no one too blame but yourselfs comment on websites saying there fire, they underground dont pay the bills

Just like you said, what YOU would have loved. Enjoy the music.

    • Shady 2.0

I'm not frustrated as such just like you said it's my playlist, my opinion and that's why we put comments to share our opinions. I ain't hatin I'm gonna buy this album because it's Nas but I guess I was just putting what I would have loved to have seen that's all.

    • Anonymous

Hannibal is right. You come here and type all of these names that YOU want Nas to collaborate with. I have listened to Nas' music since day one and I don't want to hear him with all those people you named. That's YOUR iPod playlist, not EVERYBODY'S. I am a music lover, I wait for the music and listen to it, I don't get frustrated about a tracklisting.

    • wolfman

The only thing I really agree with is the Buckwild feature. I was happy to see that. But, jock Slaughterhouse much? Coming from a Royce fan back when Boom was an underground tape hit -- I'd still take Nas to Ether any of them. Not including Mr. Shady himself though. Aside from all that, I bet this album is as good an album as Nas has released since Stillmatic.

    • Shady 2.0

ok save that utter bullshit for somebody who is into YMCMB MMG crap. 1st of I haven't looked at the Billboard since I was like 16: 2nd El-P, Black Hippy, Slaughterhouse, Jon Connor, DJ Premier, Buckwild! Commercial!?!: 3rd I have bought every single Nas album even Nastradamus so I'm a big fan. Man just fuck you, you don't know what your jipping about!

^^ What Goes Around, Get Down, Message to the Feds, Nazareth Savage, Sekou Story, Street's Disciple, War, Where Are They Now, The Don. These were all good Salaam beats too.

He's got like 3 Nas records that I like. Out of a ton produced. Made You Look Thief's Theme Nasty

nigga will never learn to make cohesive albums, he always throws those horrible sellout attempts in there that just destroy the whole sequencing of the lp. a compilation (!!!) is the second best effort he ever released. that should say enough.

    • wolfman

Cohesive? In what definition... Illmatic is a classic from start to finish. And you'll dare categorize that as commercial when he laid the Blueprint for NY hip-hop with his debut.

    • Shady 2.0

Actually the first Anon has a point, I don't remember any cohesive Nas album (Illmatic, It Was Written, Stillmatic, The Lost Tapes)... None at all

    • Anonymous

If people like you had there way then all the dope MC's would be on welfare dropping records with no appeal to anybody outside the blog world. If you dont like the "commercial" tracks, hit the skip button, aint that hard You = worst kind of fan, I'd rather just have haters, at least there honest about wanting you to fail, lol

  • bawse

Yes!!!!!! finally that real vintage hiphop

  • Anonymous

the pic from complex should've been the cover and the features just scream commercial.

  • more music

no id is good. salaam remi aint that bad, made u look was hard. i aint fuck wit nas in so long i anit really expecting no classic. but everything is so wack now im actually looking forward to this one after seeing production credits. this and hnic 3 should balance out all the emo, techno and wack stuff in rap i simply cant f wit. i could b wrong tho the green dress pic look pitiful

I respect the album tracklist for the fact that it doesn't have many features on it, that's hard to come by these days!!!

  • Anonymous

    album of the year

  • vtr

  • Chicago Rilla

so amped for this album!!!!!!!can't wait

  • Anonymous

ya'll already hatin an album u ain't even heard. give nas a chance. he a legend. where da fuck would hip-hop be without his contribution? daughters is dope and so is nasty

  • Anonymous

NO Dre, NO Premier, NO Kanye, NO Alchemist, NO RZA, NO 9th Wonder, NO Just Blaze. NO AZ, NO Lupe. SMH. This nigga does officially make the worst decisions of all time. In for another mediocre coaster.

    • Hannibal

at me: true. I actually liked Nasty better than the Don but it's a toss up. Maybe they're too much alike.

    • me

To Hannibal im a big Nas fan but u gotta admit is extremely stupid how he would have the don on there and not Nasty? i mean tht makes no sense. and he dsnt apppreciate good new artists either he collaborates with Nicki Minaj for god's sake.
