Veteran New York City producer Blockhead will release his fifth solo album, Interludes After Midnight, on May 1. The producer for much of Aesop Rock’s early works and Party Fun Action Committee member will release the project through Ninja Tune Records.

The album title reportedly comes from a 1980s and 1990s New York City public access show, and the music correlates to that theme and era. This is a follow-up to 2009’s The Music Scene.
