The Weeknd Performs At Coachella 2012

The Weeknd came out from hiding to perform at Coachella 2012.

Yesterday, elusive singer-songwriter The Weeknd came out from hiding to perform an hourlong set at Coachella 2012 festival.

During the set, Abel Tesfaye ran through cuts including "Crew Love," "Wicked Games," "Dirty Diana" and "Glass Table Girls." According to L.A. Times, he performed mostly with a full band and "filled with atmospheres pulled out of shadows and beats that split the difference between modern hip-hop and bedroom soul."

The Toronto, Canada singer recently announced his first U.S. tour, which began with his performance at Coachella. He will next appear at Brooklyn, New York's Music Hall of Williamsburg on April 25th.

I wasn't gonna say shit but since I see niggaz hatin on the Homey i MUST!!! First of all STOP comparing The Weekend to The Dream! Music changes every time you wake up to piss so if you can't understand that, just say you don't understand it...DON"T HATE! I must say the homey is one of the BEST R&B singers out as we speak! The Weekend is no older than 22 and look at what he's accomplished with 3 mixtapes(one unreleased mixtape) He had a hour set so with that said thehomey is doin his thing! Every time i pop his shit in when i'm chillin with a broad i get some BOOTY!! HATE ON THAT....HA

  • whatever!!!

all you haterz/'humbuglarz' in disguise are just sooooo jealous, picking on some slip-ups and totally ignoring all the best part. he is not your usual rnb singer, he is totally different and fresh. his songs are beautiful, his voice is beautiful and despite the nerves he gave a solid performance, AND the crowd were hyped.

Love his albums, but this guy cannot sing for shit live. Needs a vocal coach pronto if he wants to capitalize on all the hype. Rad arrangements etc tho.

wow... I thought house of ballons was good - but without autotune - this dude can't shit for shit. No pitch control - limited range - offkey more than half the time. Stick to song-writing buddy.
