Azealia Banks made her U.S. performance debut at the Coachella 2012 festival yesterday.
The Harlem, New York rapper ran through a collection of cuts from her catalogue, including “Barbie,” “Fuck Up the Fun,” “NEEDSUMLUV,” “Liquorice” and her breakout smash “212.”
Critics praised her performance during the festival. L.A. Times’ “Pop & Hiss” column claimed that the set proved “how deserving she is of the massive hype that’s been thrown her way” and how “Nicki should be on the lookout.” Miss Info said that she was anticipating seeing if Banks delivered on the hype, and that “the answer is 100% yes.”
