The Detroit emcee dishes details about his crew's project.

It was announced recently that Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music would follow MMG's lead and release a compilation album. Big Sean spoke on the project to while on his "I Am Finally Famous" tour.

"Compilation almost done and ready," revealed Sean. "Y'all can get that at the top of the year around Spring time."

When asked how many songs he contributed to the project, Sean replied, "Just a few. Me and [Kid] Cudi and Kanye got this cold-ass one. I only did, like, three, but I'm gonna do some more for it. It's gonna be fresh.

  • Yup

I must say...It's going to be, ahem......a G.O.O.D year for music? Play me off Johnny!

bbig sean hays no so say over the progress of this project maybe his progress of the songs he's doing but not as a whole who agrees?

  • jg

yea wtf. with Yeezy on tour full-time how does he have time to work on this project? Plus the heavy hitters common and JL are no longer with GOOD music so it aint much to look forward to

I'm sure Common and John Legend will be on the compilation. As for Yeezy being on tour full time, I doubt that would be an issue, with studios being everywhere from tour buses, hotels and so on. Plus Yeezy is a workaholic thankfully. I'm sure beats and ideas are being made, and sent back and forth for verses as he tours.

Huge fan of G.O.O.D. but the more I hear about this project, the more I start to doubt it. It just seems like they're rushing it, to be honest. Hopefully once the Watch the Throne Tour wraps up Kanye can take a true hold of this project and make it something worth listening to. If that means not releasing it until late 2012 or something along those lines, I'm all for it.

To be fair, they said that about Watch the Throne too, and it came out pretty well imo. Kanye's a workaholic. His speed nowadays is just because he's going in nonstop.

late 2012? are you nuts? the wtt tour raps up in december 2011. lol

    • Anonymous

I somewhat agree. Big Sean got lucky releasing his album when he did. I'm still looking forward to Cyhi. Hopefully a lot of time and effort will be put into him after the Watch The Throne frenzy. Kanye has an amazing line up. I just don't want them to be too overshadowed. This compilation should set up 2012 for those next up.
