During this year's Grammy Nominations Concert, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross and LL Cool J will team up for a tribute to "The Message," a classic 1982 track originally done by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. Furious Five members Melle Mel and Scorpio will also play a role in the performance. The concert will air live on CBS later this week.

Just a few days ago, it was reported that Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's 1982 hit "The Message" was selected by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2012.

Fans can watch the tribute performance to "The Message" and other performances on The Grammy Nominations Concert-Countdown to Music's Biggest Night, which will air on CBS this Wednesday, November 30 at 10 p.m. ET.

That dont push me cause I'm close to the edge is a beast when you got stuff going on....Beat Streat is powerfull even though it was Melle Mel. They need to pay the whole Philly for making that take the train break (Jazzy Jeff, Spinbad, Cash Money...ect)...and everyone brought 2 copies..nuff respect to Flash and the Furios Five..

Seriously one of my favorite hip hop songs ever. If it's not the best hip hop song ever recorded it's by far the most important.
