Exile most recently released his new album 4TRK MIND, but is keeping busy elsewhere. Speaking with Exclaim.ca, the producer revealed that his new album with Blu – the follow-up to 2007’s Below the Heavens – is finished, but that he “still wants to do another three new songs for it.” The statement echoes Blu’s previous claims that the LP is completed.
Additionally, Exile is working on another LP for Emanon, his duo with Aloe Blacc. For the LP, he said that the “I Need a Dollar” singer will get back to his rapping roots. “Aloe’s rapping again,” he said. “It’s definitely a little darker, a little more mature than the last record [2005’s The Waiting Room].”
Exile also recently hit the studio with No I.D. to jointly produce a collaboration between Bow Wow and Talib Kweli. “Bow Wow seriously stepped up his bars,” said Exile.
