Never one to shy away from collaborations, Lil Wayne has jumped on the remix for “Just in Love,” a track from Joe Jonas’ upcoming disc, Fastlife. According to Joe Jonas, he is excited about the collaboration, calling it “so dope” in an interview with Billboard.

“He just jumped on the record, and it’s just super awesome to see that somebody like him would wanna support me,” Jonas noted. “It means the world to me, and I love his rap, it’s so dope.”

His excitement also included praise. Jonas referred to Wayne as one “who is a powermaker” within Hip Hop.

“Somebody like Lil Wayne, who owns the market and who is a powermaker in his genre, supporting me is really exciting,” he added.

Billboard also reports that Wayne drops a line about the Planet of the Apes, writing, “We makin’ love like animals/ Planet of the Apes.”

Joe Jonas’ album is released October 11 and the remix will be premiered on October 3 on Ryan Seacrest’s radio program. Fans can purchase the track on October 4 via iTunes.

This isn’t the first time the Jonas Brothers have collaborated with emcees. Joe Jonas’ group also teamed up with Common in the past.
