J. Cole Started the List, J. Cole Finished the List
If you haven’t heard by now, J. Cole’s Cole World: The Sideline Story leaked. The album, slated for a September 27th release, isn’t heavy on collaborations, but the ones that are on there are pretty heavy-hitting. He took the #1 slot with “Nobody’s Perfect,” a cut that brings Missy Elliott out of hiding. Even better, she’s singing on it! However, Cole’s collabs aren’t carrying the fans, as the title track “Cole World” came in at #2 this week. The Jay-Z feature “Mr. Nice Watch” came at #4, while the Trey Songz-assisted joint “Can’t Get Enough” recirculated and closed the list at #10. He was all over the list. It’s not all his fault though. Nas came back on the list at #5 with more unreleased goodness in the form of “Your Mouth Got You In It” and Drake followed with Rawsified “Free Spirit” at #6. (Shout out to Phonte at #9).
