Hip Hop Reacts To Troy Davis' Impending Execution

With Troy Davis‘ execution scheduled for tonight, Hip Hop has taken to Twitter to encourage followers to take action and try to reverse the verdict.

Rappers including Big Boi, Talib Kweli, Killer Mike and more have expressed their outrage over the injustice served to Davis, while DJs including DJ Drama, DJ Scratch and DJ Clark Kent have voiced their opinions on the case.

Please elaborate on the meaning of the word "your'll" you dumb ass cracker. "How" should have began with a capital H, and in between "hell" and "anyone" there should be is word "is". Shall I continue? Your grammar (or lack thereof) speaks volumes. And although it is true that SOME rappers rap about murdering and killing, white people are the biggest murderers alive. Just ask George Bush and your family / klan members. Im white and this is fucked up. I dont believe in the justice system of today. First the Casey Anthony thing now this. We need select politicians, police officers and other representatives hand picked by the communities to represent us not the fake snake ass ones that get into power positions. Our system needs radical reform, imminently! We cant let these kind of injustices go on any longer!

Troy Davis was convicted in a court of law by a case that was found to be strong. 9 witnesses plus the circumstances placed him as the culprit. Even if the witnesses recanted, not only is this common in death penalty cases years after (even when they dont mean it) but they didn't recant under oath in a court where they could be cross examined therefore it could not be used as evidence. im sure we can all agree witness statements outside court shouldn't hold weight unless we ant to plunge every case into anarchy. SO he was originaly convicted by a jury that was composed of five whites and SEVEN blacks. But you know what, white people are so hateful. its their fault that this happened. They werent just doing their jobs with what was given and the black people involved...pffft... lets ignore that. The problem with most of us black people is blaming white people for things like this. You can have your opinion that you dont agree with the verdict, but to claim racism and ignore all the other facts. come on man.

Am pretty sure this man is innocent. Am 100% in support of the death penalty punishment, but execute when there is minimal or absolutely no doubt about someones guilt. The Case of the man is different, too many doubts. Pls don't execute this Man....If u want to, then clear the doubts first!!!!

See, alot of these dudes get involved in bad shit, make the wrong decisions, then in their last hour, it finally dawns on them that they have to finally be held accountable for their actions. So they play the race card. The sympathy card. The wrong man scenario. Anything to keep them from being accountable. I'm sure some killers wish they could go back and make a different choice, but in life, there isn't a rewind button. Even if by a prayer, his execution got delayed, that doesn't mean he's innocent of god knows how many other things. Things that are right there in fine print for any judge to read. The system is flawed, but it's still the system, and just because a group of people are now protesting doesn't mean the system will change itself and how it inteprets things like murder. Especially when it comes to slain officers.

Fuck outta here. This dude who already had a questionable past, shot one nigga, beat a homeless man, and then shot a cop. Dude is found washing blood out of his fuckin clothes the same night, and the very gun that could be used to clear his name has mysteriously gone missing. No doubt the cops banged on these witnesses, but my bet is Troy's connections got to the witnesses. Now all of a sudden, 7 witnesses see things differently, and have the same damn story on why that happened. And unless dude was masturbatin all over the shell casings and kissing his victims, why the fuck would there be a DNA link? He got rid of his link (the gun). As far as I'm concerned, this dude's residence is somewhere in Hell, and I pray to God the great state of GA sends him home tonight. There are innocent niggas in prison that we should fight for. Troy Davis wasn't one of them.
