During his appearance at OVO Fest last weekend, singer/rapper Drake spoke with Billboard’s The Juice about the feedback he’s received from “Marvin’s Room”
Drake revealed that more than anything the remixes of the song were “very flattering.” He also thanked those who chose to jump on the song.
“The writing is doing something to people for them to want to take it and remix it. It’s very flattering, you know. Thank you to anybody that did a remix,” Drake explained. “I hope other songs on the album get reactions like that too. I really, really worked very hard on the writing for this album so I hope it gets a great reaction. I’m excited. It comes out on my birthday so it’d be a nice birthday gift if you go buy it for the boy.”
Following its release in early June “Marvin’s Room” was remixed by the likes of Teyana Taylor, Chris Brown, JoJo, Sammie, and countless other singers.
Take Care will be released on October 24, 2011. The album is a follow-up to last year’s Thank Me Later.
