One of the most highly anticipated mixtapes arrives today, August 1st, as Game plans to drop his DJ Skee and Mars hosted mixtape “Hoodmorning [No Typo] Candy Coronas” at 1:11pm EST. A few tracks have leaked off the tape, including the Jay-Z diss “Uncle Otis” , the Lil Wayne assisted “Belee Dat” , and the DX-premiered “The Town” . “Candy Coronas” precedes The R.E.D. Album arriving August 23rd.

J. Cole started a mixtape series of his own this past week called “Any Given Sunday”. The first 5-track mix “Any Given Sunday #1” arrived yesterday (July 31st) and Cole plans on dropping a new mixtape every Sunday until his album Cole World: The Sideline Story drops September 27th. While the mix has some new cuts like “Like a Star” , some songs had long since leaked including “How High” and “Knock On Wood” .

Consequence as promised delivered another diss track “Everybody Told Me To Straighten It Out” , this time aimed at Kanye West. The prior track “The Plagurist Society” was aimed at Pusha T, but promised a diss to Kanye would follow. Whether these songs will appear on “Movies On Demand 3” is still a mystery. A not-so-much mystery is the Chris Brown’s first Hip Hop-inspired mixtape “Boy In Detention” on August 5th followed by Meek Mill’s “Dream Chasers” on August 11th.
