Project Pat is currently prepping the release of his new album Loud Pack, arriving July 19th. The follow-up to his Asylum Records debut Real Recognize Real, the Memphis, Tennessee native explains that his latest, produced entirely by Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul and Juicy J, is inspired by the sticky icky.

“You know how you smokin’ loud? What everyone’s smoking on, everybody’s looking for a different kind of weed? It’s like regular weed, and it’s loud,” Pat explains to HipHopDX. “So everybody’s looking for the loud. It’s the best weed. That’s why I called it Loud Pack, because it’s like the best music.”

As far as the sound of the LP, which touts guest appearances from Rick Ross, Brisco and Juicy J, Pat promises “a lot of bass” and “catchy phrases” plus “beefed up” production from Three 6. “To be honest, the production on Real Recognize Real was cool,” he explains. “But Paul and Juicy beefed up the production on this one. The production’s better. They haven’t changed their sound up, they just beefed it up. I’m very pleased, it’s real hard production. I was around when they was switching up, adding more bass… I like ’em.”

The LP, led by the single “Flashin,” precedes an upcoming mixtape with DJ Scream that features guest appearances by Alley Boy, Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane, as well as hopes of nabbing a feature from Curren$y.

Outside of his own projects, Pat is overseeing projects by SNO member BPZ, who’s dropping a mixtape before his album. HipHopDX will keep you updated.
