The Outlawz Announce Final LP "Perfect Timing," Due On Anniversary Of 2Pac's Death

The collective will bow out with its last album, which features guest appearances from Bun B, Scarface, Krazyie Bone, Lloyd and more.

The Outlawz has announced what they claim will be their final album, Perfect Timing, due on September 13th - the anniversary of Tupac Shakur’s death. The LP, releasing via Krude/One Nation/Fontana/Universal Records, will feature guest appearances from Bun B, Scarface, Krayzie Bone, Lloyd, Trae Tha Truth, Z-Ro, Tech N9ne, Young Buck, Belly and more.

"Perfect Timing is our way of turning a negative day into a positive one," said E.D.I Mean in a statement. "The industry and the streets are begging for something real so we here to deliver,” adds Noble. “It's time for some real soldiers with a real message making real music with a real history to step to the front of this rap game, and the Outlawz is the epitome of just that.... Perfect Timing.”

Additionally, a DVD entitled Outlawz Worldwide Vol. 2 will accompany the album. Before the LP’s release, the group will release a mixtape titled Killuminati 2K11, hosted by DJ Kayslay and DJ Smallz, on July 14th. The tape will feature guest appearances from Chamillionaire, 8-Ball, Young Buck and Lowkey, and will feature a remix of Meek Mill’s “Tupac Back.”

Pretty good article about Pac's legacy 15 years later compared to Mike Tyson's: http://mizzousportswriters.com/2011/09/14/tyson-and-2pac-living-legacies-15-years-later/

Well I respect their opinion if they feel they have given everything they have to offer, but I disagree. I think the Lawz still have plenty to offer to the game, they're making some of the best music of their careers and with the real rap making somewhat of a commercial comeback these days as well, I think the Lawz projects could be both artistically and financially successful in the future too, no doubt. I think they need a big european tour to promote this album too, if you seriously consider calling it quits at least come to Finland so I can see you live once (we appreciate good hip hop in here and Pac/Lawz legacy is still going strong). But never say never, and I hope we'll still see Lawz albums after this too, the game needs you guys.

I apologize if no one understands this very well, but The Outlawz have been blackballed in the industry after Pac's death. Trust that.

Seems like they're trying to capitalize off Pac's death........... Maybe I'm wrong but this doesn't sound right.

well Pac's ethics never really translated when it came to his crew. There were seven only only 4 bothered to carry the torch (albeit Yak died) then 3 and I think one was changed) and they upheld the legacy as bleh as Afeni has done with pacs legacy. No movie, 2 decent posthumous albums and no celebrations worthy of the slain champion. Now their going to quit so exactly whats left? Could they not have atleast gone out with a track with all the outlaws under the original OUTLAW IMMORTALZ moniker?...sheesh

completely disagree man. I think they over-repped pac...if that's even possible.Damn near every track they mentioned pac...and defended him whenever anybody came out of pocket. Checked the losers who were biting him like the realest. They actually did more than they could to keep pac's name alive. They are men and they have their own priorities so I don't hold any of the parting ways shit against them.... you can't expect no self respecting man to sacrifice his own future for anyone. Peopel need to grow up with that shit. they grow and mature just like everyone. Napoleon is a devout muslim now.... pac would have been proud of him for finding peace. They were always pretty wack musically but cant nobody say they didnt honor pac's legacy. fuck that..

rumor has it that outlawz have been quiet working with pac and this album will be his return. which is why all these unreleased tracks are getting leaked all of a sudden. psyche, he's dead. Outlawz had a long run. Respect to their hustle.
