I hope the sequel actually stays true to the GI Joe cartoon. I don't remember it that well but I don't recall a forced love story between one of the GI Joe's and Cobra's henchwoman. This is probably what the producers are thinking "hmm how could we make the most money out of this? I know let's try to throw in as many genres as possible! It was originally an action cartoon but let's put some cheap humor and a little romance in there." Same with Transformers. I remember it being about giant robots fighting each other not a drama about 2 high school kids with giant robots in the background. Let me guess they'll make a movie about He-Man where he is secretly in love with Skellator's sister and in the end the two of them settle their differences and become in-laws.
