Homeboy Sandman, Nitty Scott MC To Perform At WNYC's "Mic Check" Showcase

One of the most popular music talk shows on radio produces an event for New York Hip Hop tomorrow night, with three respected emcees rocking.

On Thursday, June 9, New York City's NPR affiliate WNYC will host Mic Check: A NYC Hip Hop Showcase at the Jerome L. Greene Performance Space. The event produced in conjunction with WNYC's long-running music program, Soundcheck with host John Schaefer. He will also host the event.

Acts performing include High Water Music emcee Homeboy Sandman, Blitz The Ambassador and Nitty Scott MC.

As for "Lightning Bolt," that video's 3 years old and an obvious goof. Gotta agree that I don't see what people see in it (or the song) other than De La-style cartoons (there are a lot of people who like it) but you could pick a target that isn't from the old days if you supposedly saw him "a couple weeks ago." @akwaaba, I agree, lame.
