Producer Alex Da Kid Launches KIDinaKORNER Label Under Interscope Records

The mastermind behind hits for Eminem, Dr. Dre, T.I. and more plans to release Skylar Grey's debut under his new shingle.

Producer Alex Da Kid, mastermind behind Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” and B.o.B’s “Airplanes,” has signed a deal with Interscope Records to launch his own label KIDinaKORNER.

“Developing artists that influence and shape popular culture in an authentic way has always been a huge goal of mine,” said the British hit maker. “Jimmy Iovine understands that and has been a true mentor to me over the past year. I look forward to continuing all the success we have already had together.”

The shingle’s first release will be Skylar Grey’s debut album, led by the single “Dance Without You.” She previously contributed vocals to Lupe Fiasco’s “Words I Never Said” and Dr. Dre’s “I Need a Doctor.”

I respect Alex da kid, he is making hits

  • LOL @ these comments

These comments make me wonder if these people here ever left their mom's basement let alone get laid. It's funny that Eminem gets trashed for making songs with Skylar Grey but if Nas did it, they defend him. Stop listening to that Jedi Mind Tricks garbage and go outside for once.

seriously. theres more to hiphop "music", than underground lyricists. its called music because there is no set way to make it. i love me some rhymesayers, etc, but there is actually some music out there that has a melody, and good singer, and is still hiphop. bunch of biased kids on here who dont even know what music is.

    • LOL @ ANY male defending alex da kid

kids are queer. you'd probably suck a dick to get your queen you 2k faggot. these kids out here dressing like gay men to get girls. defending garbage like alex da kid online, as if they are a supreme being with an attractive lifestyle. you're calling haters out for alex da kid, kill yourself.

FUCK ALEX DA KID, MAKING WACK-ASS BEATS WITH THAT CRACKHEAD WHITE GIRL TRYING TO SOUND LIKE SPICE GIRLS SHIT. THIS IS WHAT RAP MUSIC HAS COME TO; SYNTH BEATS AND GAY HOOKS WITH A MAN TALKING ABOUT HOW HE LOVES ANOTHER MAN. 2011 WILL BE REMEMBERED AS THE YEAR RAP MUSIC TURNED GAY. RAP IS THE NEW DISCO! GAY SHIT - DESIGNED TO BE PLAYED IN THOSE GAY WHITE CLUBS IN NYC.

This guy is garbage. His beats sound like they were made for Britney Spears - he is about as far removed from real hip-hop as you can get. The drums on "I need a doctor" sounded like a poor imitation of cheesy 80s records. Real talk: Lex Luger deserves his own label more than this dude - at least Lex's beats aren't soft.

i dont even like lex and i cosign this. what has this kid done to deserve a deal? produced an incredibly gay eminem song. then he produced the GAYEST dr.dre song of all time. jimmys in a hurry to give this kid money, cuz he knows how to make dre look like a faggot. i dont know one hip hop fan looking forward to alex da kid records. no originality, everybody wants an alex da kid beat with skylar grey singing the same lame hooks. i can honestly say, i hate all these new niggas. and honestly, ive heard britney spears records harder than anything this creampuff has ever produced.

  • what

i fucking hate this kid. i hope interscope goes under. they give a deal to a british faggot that had em and dre looking like life long lovers in "i need a doctor". hip hop really is GAY friendly these days. not only is this kid making the sweetest, softest beats out. they suck. weak ass drums, soulless, plastic, electronic beats. everything WRONG with rap beats today. this kid thought "i need a doctor" was gonna CHANGE music. jimmy iovine might know the devil on a personal level. i havent heard ONE hot beat from this kid, and hes getting his own label. nas was right man. hip hop is dead. when the legends die off, were left with alex da fucking kid. die slow faggots.

all his fucking songs sound the fucking same. they use the same 4 chords just like every pop song in the fucking world does. want to make it as a pop or hip POP producer? use these four chords: E ( Emaj ) , B , C#m ( C#minor) , A this is whats killing hip hop
