Erykah Badu, Bun B, Meek Mill To Headline 2Pac's 40th Birthday Concert

UPDATE: The man who helped bring "Tupac Back" with Rick Ross will perform at the late icon's birthday event.

Meek Mill might be bringing "Tupac Back," but a handful of musicians are paying their respects to the slain rapper. The lineup for the 2Pac 40th Birthday Concert Celebration has been announced, touting an all-star roster for the event that falls on what would have been his 40th birthday.

Erykah Badu will headline the tribute show, which is set to be hosted by Afeni Shakur and comedian Mike Epps. DJ Drama will man the wheels of steel for the concert, while additional performers include Too Short, Roy Ayers, Bun B, 8Ball & MJG and more unannounced artists.

"I am greatly honored to have been invited by Afeni Shakur to celebrate her son's 40th birthday," said Badu in a statement. "I do not take this honor for granted."

The concert will take place on June 16th, which was declared "Tupac Day" in Georgia's DeKalb County at last year's event. This year's show will take place at the Atlanta Symphony Hall, with proceeds from the event benefitting the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation for the Arts.

(May 19)

UPDATE: Warner Brothers Records artist Meek Mill has been added to the event lineup. With Maybach Music Group's head Rick Ross made a hit single "Tupac Back" . The song, from Maybach Music Group Presents Self-Made, Volume 1, is about the need for Tupac Shakur in today's Rap climate.

When the world lost Pac it lost one of the most gifted human beings to have even been able to bare there souls to the public... A true Poet Laureate. I only wish this generation had a story teller, as driven and deetermined of there own...... I also wish that God Awful song " TuPac Back" would go0o0o0o away. IMO

What I think is ironic is that the same people who love Pac now would be calling him OLD (like they do Jay) if he was still alive.
