With his Maybach Music Group compilation Self Made Vol. 1 on the way, Wale doesn’t plan on chillin’. The Washington D.C. native has revealed that he has recorded enough material for his sophomore album and a follow-up, with hopes of dropping the LPs either this year or in 2012.

“It’s done. I mean, I’m just making songs,” he told MTV News. “I told Warner Bros. I’m not opposed to droppin’ two albums in 2011 or two in 2012. […] If they allow me to and they ready for it, I’ll do it.”

The former Interscope Records signee explained that his new releases will showcase his growth since the release of his debut album Attention Deficit. “It’s a lot of drive, it’s a lot of hunger, it’s a lot of the things that I wasn’t good at explaining the first time around,” he continued. “The messages are getting’ across a lot cleaner, so I’m very, very proud of the music I’ve been putting out for this new project.”
