Backstage at last month’s Coachella Festival, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s Wiz Khalifa and Chicago, Illinois’ Kanye West were rumored to have sparred over the former’s ex and latter’s current girlfriend, Amber Rose. After ‘Ye changed lyrics from his hit “Stronger” to a thinly veiled jab at the Taylor Gang leader, Wiz confronted the rumor by shutting it down.

“I did my set and we hung around a little bit, but we weren’t even there when fam was on stage,” he told MTV.com. “So that was completely like somebody made that up. I think they just wanted it to be that type of situation or they wanted to see something go down.”

While some may find the beef comical, the “Roll Up” rapper explained that there’s no basis for all the chatter. “It’s fun to talk about and make jokes about, but in all reality, that didn’t even exist,” he continued.

But he did take issue with Kanye’s lyrical barb. During the Chicagoan’s headlining set, he changed the lyrics from his smash “Stronger”, flipping “I’ll do anything for a blonde dike and she’ll do anything if the times right” to “I did everything for that blonde dyke and she did anything when the time was right.”

“We all heard the comment and that was just like a low thing. Because a lot of people look at him in a high way, so a lot of people were kind of eh about that,” he said.

Even though Yeezy open-fired, Wiz is taking it in stride. “There’s no negative vibe there. It is what it is. I’m doing my business and she’s doing her business and he’s doing his business. So that’s what it is. I’m all about positivity and I’ma keep it that way.”
