I think that this article is an unfortunate testament to how rappers develop their careers. So many of these cats ghostwrite for others...as an artist, it is nearly impossible to crank out hit after hit after hit without some sort of consultation and collaboration with others. What sucks is that a young rapper undoubtedly finds it difficult to make their mark...so they take a little bit of money just to get the opportunity to meet with the right people who can get their names out there and get their music out.
