Jay-Z Subject of NBA Investigation

Jay-Z's recent visit to the Kentucky Wildcats locker room has started an investigation.

On Sunday March 27th the Kentucky Wildcats defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels in an Elite Eight match up between two legendary programs. Following the win at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Jay-Z visited the locker room to congratulate the winning team.

There wasn't a problem with Jay-Z the rapper being in the locker room, but it is against NBA policy for Nets minority owner Shawn Carter to be there. NBA personnel are prohibited from being in contact with amateur players until they have declared for the draft. The high-powered Wildcats have a likely pair of lottery picks on their roster as well.

It is believed that it is Jay's relationship with basketball rainmaker William Wesley that led to him being in the room. Wesley, also known as Worldwide Wes, also has a relationship with Kentucky coach and former Nets coach John Calipari. Based on past infractions around the league, Jay-Z will likely face a small fine.

And on topic...I'm a fan of jay, but if he broke the rules then he fucked up...maybe(probably) he doesn't care, at least not about the fine itself, but i wonder exactly what his interests were...even if it was just him being cool w/ those kids for their accomplishment, i think everybody knows at this point, everything jay does is an investment...some people say that makes him fucked up, i think it makes him brilliant, admirable even...i really respect that cutthroat killer instinct in people, thats how u get to the top of just about anything.... on some real shit...anyone seen that show Spartacus? Why does this idiot wear shades INDOORS? Is he covering up his ugly ass face? (obviously)

  • Nico 3

College basketball programs are about as corrupt as you can imagine, so Jay doing this is nothing. Pay a small fine and help the Nets recruit some better players for the future.

  • bballslim42

Hov definitely has the money to pay the fine, but the NBA doesn't hand out small fines. Ask Mavs owner Mark Cuban. He breaks the NBA off several hundreds of thousands per year.

  • truthenola

Hahaha...Jay all day,. probably has the fine in his pocket.

lol @ spelling jay's name wrong... expect the Illuminati to eliminate whoever wrote this article ASAP
