Lauryn Hill Adds New Dates To Moving Target: Extended Intimate Playdate Series Tour

UPDATE: L-Boogie is now stopping in Houston, New Orleans, Las Vegas, San Diego, Seattle and more dates.

Although rapper/singer Lauryn Hill’s recent tour was met with much criticism the former Fugees member has just announced the Moving Target: Extended Intimate Playdate Series, a series of new tour dates. The tour is expected to make stops in 12 different cities including Atlanta, Miami, Portland, Denver, New Orleans, and more.

"One of the benefits of playing venues smaller than the ones I'm used to allows me the opportunity to not only reconnect with my supporters but to expose them to a portion of the musical journey I've been on which the world for the most part has not had access to,” said Lauryn Hill in a statement. “I've never shied away from being musically adventurous, nor am I known for being a lightweight when it comes to lyrical content or musical exploration.”

Hill also referred to criticism of her recent shows, which she both appeared late to and performed never before heard remixes of her songs, as “amusing.”

“These more intimate playdates afford me the time to perform for listeners who haven't heard from me over the past several years or have been misinformed by the inaccuracies in some media coverage, many of which I might add, I find very amusing,” Hill explained. “Getting back out there to perform is a lot like resuming a strenuous sport after having been away from it for a while, but eventually the muscle-memory kicks in and each day brings progressive strength.”

does anyone think that she looks like a older janelle monae it just me!!?

Actually this could be a trend of major artist playing smaller venues for higher ticket prices... this might work

  • greatest hip hop lyricist ever

you got that right Lauryn. You are no lightweight..... easily the greatest lyricist in hip hop........ but i've been watching youtube clips and i wish the songs sounded more hip hop.... not really into rap metal/rock or whaever it is... I hope she comes to TX but imma need her to hip hop some of those songs, perform some unplugged songs, and sing instead of chanting her songs .... she can still spit tho.

Used to be a big fan. She's a diva now and the fact that she won't even acknowledge that she disappointed legions of her fans and won't even apologize just confirms this even more. She's also lost her voice and her rap cadence. I'll torrent her new album when it comes out.

I'm a longtime loyal Lauryn suppoter but honestly, I was dispointed when she came thru to MTL. Not only was she 2 hours late, but she didn't have an opening act (except for a DJ) and her show lasted less than the time she made all of us wait. On the plus side, she rocked the house.

I'm a fan too but I would be upset after waiting 2 hours. I think an opening act is a good idea. It's disrespectful to show up late.
