Producer Will Power says he’s been producing for somewhere between 12-15 years. A cursory Google search may not immediately bring up his past work, but the Columbia, South Carolina product has a chance to become a household name due to his recent work with Eminem, Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse and Wiz Khalifa. Will produced roughly nine songs on Yelawolf’s Trunk Muzik and its successor Trunk Muzik: 0-60. After initially constructing what was to be another Yelawolf solo track, Will found himself in a position that may change the direction of his career.
“It was just a jammin’ beat…a jammin’ vibe,” Will said during an interview with 3LittleDigs.com. “A good producer vibe in the room…[Riggs Morales] happened to get a chance to hear the record. From there, he just felt like it would be a great posse cut for the entire new 2.0 Shady crew. We did what we had to do in Vegas with the record, and then we sent it out to Eminem. Eminem blessed it with the rest of the production.”

and a spot on Billboard magazine’s top R&B/Hip Hop Chart courtesy of Trunk Muzik: 0-60’s eight-week stint on the charts, Will says he’s interested in mastering the cultivation of sounds and different types of vibes.

In addition to his work with the Shady Records camp, Will Power contributed to Wiz Khalifa’s upcoming Rolling Papers. While the single “Roll Up” shows more radio-friendly material will be incorporated into Wiz’s second major-label effort, Will says he opted for more of an “old school Atlanta vibe” for Wiz’s “Middle of You.”
“If I had to define myself as a producer, I would want people to know that you can’t expect really one certain vibe or one certain thing from me,” Will added. “In all actuality, I like to dibble in dab in all types of things. You probably won’t catch me trying to produce the same type of artist or the same type of music in one sitting.”
