Last June when Lil Wayne was still behind bars Drake talked about the Young Money emcees plans to make an album together. Not much has been said of the idea since Wayne’s release, but yesterday Weezy assured MTV that the album was coming.
“That right there, that has always been in the making,” Wayne told Sway. “We’ve always been in the studio, we’ve always been having conversations about ‘let’s do something together, let’s do an album together.'”
The delay at this point is Wayne’s other obligations; his solo album, Like Father, Like Son 2 with Baby and the T-Wayne project with T-Pain. Obligations that Drake wants to respect, according to Wayne. For the full interview, watch below.
