Young Money Records’ Harlem emcee, Jae Millz has spent a decade without releasing an album. After tenures with Universal and Warner Brothers, the former battle-rapper signed with Wayne and prominently appeared on 2009’s We Are Young Money group album. Still without a solo, Millz spoke with Mikey T The Movie Star in a video interview, where he said that his debut may be just months away.

Jae initially revealed that Lil Wayne, Young Money’s head, suggested piggybacking Millz’ release with Wayne’s Tha Carter IV album. “I’ma keep it real with you, I don’t wanna come out no time [near when Tha Carter IV] comes out,” Jae said with a laugh. “Let Tha Carter IV come out and do its numbers, and do what it do…I told him I want the summer. Summer, or [the] right back to school time [of year]. That’s what I would want; I don’t really want to get caught in the fourth quarter.”

Previously, Young Money has released two platinum debut albums, Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday and Drake’s Thank Me Later.
