Top drummer and producer Travis Barker has teamed with G-Unit deejay/radio personality DJ Whoo Kid for Let The Drummer Get Wicked, a mixtape leading up to Barker’s March 15 solo debut, Give The Drummer Some. The mixtape will feature Barker updating recent Internet hits by the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Pusha T, Wiz Khalifa and J. Cole.

Production for the February 21 project will be handled by Whoo Kid, with beats by Dr. Dre, Pharrell and Havoc of Mobb Deep fame. The work will premiere on Whoo Kid’s RadioPlanet.TV website.

“I wanted to keep the records on Let the Drummer Get Wicked original,” Whoo Kid says of the concept. “I reached out to the artists to get all new joints from them, and worked with Travis from there to do an exclusive mixtape for the artists’ respective fan bases.”
