Chris Brown’s relationship with Rihanna was once a story of young stars uniting. However, when news broke that Brown had assaulted Rihanna in a domestic dispute, their story changed to one that changed drastically in the public’s eye. Brown had to undergo domestic-violence courses and a restraining order was placed against him. However, with time, it seems that the restraining order will now be changed.

According to what Rihanna’s lawyers told E! News recently, the current order may be lowered to one that is less strict. Presently, Brown cannot go near Rihanna and cannot have any contact with her. However, Rihanna has requested that it be changed to one that allows contact, so long as there is no annoyance or harassment involved.

Brown’s lawyers are aware of this request, however nothing will be official until a judge changes the order in a formal manner.

Back in November, Brown received praise from Judge Patricia Schnegg, who told him he was one of the more consistent probationers.

“Of all probationers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had thousands of probationers, no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have,” she said. “And I really want to commend you for taking responsibility, and for actually working diligently to complete all of the things the court has required of you.”

Some have speculated that the two may have some contact at this year’s Grammy night, but that will not happen as Brown is not scheduled to attend the event.
