Brooklyn, New York band TV On The Radio is embraced by the Hip Hop genre, through collaborations with the likes of El-P, Wale and Antipop Consortium’s Beans. Pitchfork.com announced this week that the quintent has begun preparations to release an album this spring on Interscope Records called Nine Types of Light. This will be a follow-up to 2008’s acclaimed Dear Science.
TVOTR enlisted former Company Flow founder El-P on 2006’s Return To Cookie Mountain, where El remixed “Hours” for a version included on the US pressings of the album. Guitarist Dave Sitek worked with Wale on his 2009 debut Attention Deficit, and vocalist Tunde Adebimpe worked with Beans on End It All (listen to “Mellow You Out”
