DJ Khaled Reveals Tracklist For "We The Best Forever"

UPDATE #2: The tracklist has been revealed for Khaled's Cash Money debut.

DJ Khaled recently spoke with Vibe about his upcoming debut album on Cash Money Records We the Best Forever. The producer and DJ said that he has brought in a few of his Cash Money compatriots for his fifth LP, most notably Young Money stars Drake and Nicki Minaj. Khaled also revealed that G.O.O.D. Music head honcho Kanye West will make an appearance on the album.

"I definitely will have Drake on my album, definitely will have Nicki Minaj on there," he said. "I got something special I’m working with the team. You’re going to have all your favorite artists on there. Me collaborating with Cash Money - making amazing records and coming out with amazing songs. We’re going to give you a classic now. I can tell you I was in the studio the other day with Kanye West. I don’t want to give away too much information out there but know I’m working!" (Vibe.com)

In addition to features from 'Ye, Drizzy and Nicki, Khaled said that he's enlisted frequent collaborators Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Plies for a number of street-approved bangers.

"I had a vision to wake the streets up and give them something they love," he explained. "Ross, Weezy, Plies, you can’t get them on one track everyday and to get three street, authentic and incredible artists to spit for the streets and to make a hit—it’s amazing. Me and Ross were in the studio and came up with a plan. I got it cracking with him first - then I presented the song to Wayne when he got home. Weezy took time and blessed it with a classic. As for Plies - we did that in Orlando. Renegades and I co produced it alongside the Nasty Beatmakers." (Vibe.com)

DJ Khaled signed with Birdman's Cash Money imprint last September, along with Cool and Dre. Although this latest project may be his debut on the label, Khaled had released four previous albums via E1 Entertainment.

THOSE THREE NINJAS IS THE FARTHEST YOU CAN GET FROM "AUTHENTIC" OR "STREET"

  • dat_mayne

same concept..same sounding albums..over-saturated with numerous guest appearances and the artists pretty much speaking bout a whole lot of nothin.. "money this, hoes that, gun here, im the shit, u r not".. way to spread the ignorance and keeping the youth dumb

  • NY

DJ Khaled probably the least respected in terms of a producer, Cash Money the least respected label (all are pop artists or wanna be gangstas who are actually executives of million dollar labels). Fuck the title "We the Best Forever" you got that shit wrong it's Wu-Tang Forever.

  • So..

No Ye, no Nas? yeah looks like i won't be even bothering with this album, i wouldn't buy this piece of shit but i would dl the Ye and Nas songs if they were good.

  • Gizzy

i could've sworn he said Kanye and Nas were gonna be on his album

  • Brandon Nixon

Who cares what nationality he is? He has the right to make a living, and clearly somebody likes this guy enough to give him the power he needs to make music. While I'm not racing out to buy his musical catelog, if these rappers are dumb enough to endorse this guy album, it's on them, not the public.

Is this a Young Money album?

  • Anonymous

    where the hell is kanye.

  • Bowski

I'm not normally on this side of the track when I make my comments on this site, but there are just a few so called hip hop artists that get under my skin. Honestly, I only clicked on this article to see what people really think/feel about this clown and I see most people here share some of my sentiments about this non talent, ignorant fraud of a man. I'm still trying to figure out how he became an "Artist"? How did he become someone to check for? Who supports this racist prick? I mean isn't he like Egyptian, or Persian, or Pakistani, or something? Oh my bad he's actually Palestinian, and yet he drops the "N" bomb all over his records. Why hasn't anyone w/power addressed this as an issue? Since when did that become cool? If you do the math on Palestinians they dont even like black people, yet he's managed to come into OUR house and pimp our people out by selling his garbage via strip club anthems. He's got all these "black" artists on his records, pimps them out cos they need him since he's actually a dj (which translates to guaranteed radio play). How did we let him slide under the radar like that? What the hell is REALLY going on yo? I mean I'm all for different races & different cultures showing true LOVE for hip hop, but this dude is a fraud who manages to hold weight in hip hop. He still manages to have some sort of authority over our music because of his position while we let him eat very well as a matter of fact. I'm sorry ya'll I just had to vent for a minute, I'm so disgusted with our people who sell their souls by affiliating themselves w/this clown without understanding the true basics. I will NEVER support this dude, call me a hater or whatever, but we need to wake up for real.

"Ross, Weezy, Plies, you can’t get them on one track everyday and to get three street, authentic and incredible artists to spit for the streets and to make a hit—it’s amazing." Ross - Ex co Wayne - Fake Blood Plies - college educated, only goon that speaks proper in the history of the world. Authentic my ass.

  • Anonymous

THIS DUDE IS AFUCKING DOUCHE BAG..... HEARD HIM ON SIRIUS BRAGGIN LIKE HE WAS THE DON OF HIP HOP.... WHATS HE DONE A FEW GAY POPPY RADIO BEATS?

    • Alex Hayford

Son, he doesn't even produce the beats on his album. All he does is bring artists together to make tracks, then he puts his name on it like he was responsible for the production.

  • Brady

So it's fair to say that forever is not going to start tonight then

  • Nico 3

He's getting money because of ringtone sales. While I don't hate the music, it says something when you don't produce or write. That means you will have no legacy in the end.

  • Anonymous

what does khaled even do? i find it funny when it says DJ Khaled w/ Drake, Wayne and Rick Ross on my sirius radio, cause hes not rapping on the track, and I'm pretty sure he didnt make the beat? Also never seen him in front of some turntables, does he even DJ?

  • ilexx

All I want is for Khaled to look past the hate in the comments BUT dont skip over one thing....... NOBODY LIKES PLIES! Any track that Plies has ever been on he has had the worse verse and he ruins the track because his verse is soooooo mediocre that he is placed somewhere in the middle and fans of the bigger artists have to listen through Plies verse just to get to the better verses at the end..... U are killin yourself with that bs. I also agree with whoever said that the only person's credibility that is hurt in all these Khaled albums is his OWN. Next thing... Khaled if u want to make a splash be the first to put out a collabo with J. Cole & Nas because that would surely heat the streets up. Infact u could do it on some old school shit with scratches and all that. U would be displaying why u are actually a good DJ and u could give the streets something they could respect. I just gave u a million dollar idea.... USE it and dont be stupid!

    • hova45222

nas did do a song with khaled on victory...called victory....duh

    • guerilla jones

i agree on all points, except im just not sold on j.cole,he can spit,no doubt but i just dont care so maybe that has to do with his personality?idk hes like tim duncan, skills are unquestionable but you got to be from san antonio to be a fan...

    • ny

khaled could neva do a track wit cole nd nas cuz his shit wack nd those 2 a couple of the best ever... he does tracks wit drake, weezy, rick ross so they can all suck together and somehow make money cuz there r ppl dum enuff out there to listen to this wack shittt

  • Atl2Trill

Not surprised Khaled officially signed to CMR. He already was affiliated with them. Khaled's formula for music is stale, but it keeps making him money though.

  • Whooliano

Khaled's formula of success: dickride the same group of rappers who appeared on your past projects plus dickride anyone who is hot right now.

  • wiz

Khaled sucks same album everytime we the best we golbal we the best forever shut up fat nigga... Also same features all the time

  • MDUDUZI

i honestly think the next dj khaled album will make waves

  • C. Dante

only wanna hear the kanye track tbh

"Ross, Weezy, Plies, you can’t get them on one track everyday and to get three street, authentic and incredible artists to spit for the streets and to make a hit—it’s amazing" funniest shit I read in a long time

Plies! I can't wait to hear this album. Might be the best album of 2011! Yeah right! Khaled sucks and so does Plies. Wick, Wick Wack!

  • Jesus

I like Khaled. i take his sons in small doses. havnt fucked with like a mega lineup besides All i do is win. But the Yeezy /track and the two Nas tracks and that Game track were ill. he needs to shut the fuck up tho. almost as bad as "WHOOOOOOOOOOO KIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDD" on the good lines orrr "HaHaHA im Fat" like Funk flex

    • Jesus

its like DJ is some kind ancient hiphop Secret coding for "annoying asshole who ruins great songs by shouting pointless shit out during verses never the beat build up"

    • or back when DJ Clue was still big...

i remember around 02-04 every song i would listen to would have "CLUE" "CLUE" "CLUE" "CLUE" echo off in it. It would always be Clue shouting shit at the beginning, middle, and end. Recently the worst is Cannon on Finally Famous Vol.3 w/o tags and the Trap or Die 2 mixtape...shit's ridiculous.

  • hellrazor

more shitty material from dj khaled with horrible beats, brainless content and the same cunts as usual. fuck this bullshit.

  • gutter man

sounds like the cheese dick alliance will be back with those generic synth beats and zero lyrical content.

  • khordkutta

okay...some of us dont have short memories, wutang forever....puff daddy forever(bad enough) and now this?!?!? smmfh!!

  • Can't wait to hear this....

i can't wait to hear the same bullshit beats with T-Pain singing the hook. I bet 80% of the tracklist features Wayne, Plies, Rick Ross, and Fat Joe on each song together with T-Pain or Akon on the hook....or if Khaled's thinking real shitty he'll bring Usher back because we know how good Fed Up's hook was...Khaled was cool back in 06 when he was getting everybody on one track now it's just getting old, after Brown Paper Bag, it was only downhill from there with "Go Hard" being the only exception. I hope whatever song he does with Kanye is dope, same goes for the song with Drake, but i'm sure they'll both be ruined one way or another.

  • Nico 3

I agree about the need to stay away from making the same "hood bangers". He may sell a million ringtones, but if your album sells 40,000 first week, you've just wasted everyone's time.

    • not really...

all the guests still get paid, khaled and the record label are the only ones losing out. The only person's popularity that's been deteriorating with each shitty cd is khaled's; not Wayne, Ross, T-Pain, Jeezy, etc. Fat Joe and Plies don't really count, Joe hasn't been popular since 05, and Plies hasn't been popular since...ever

  • devante

khaled is gonna need to shake it up cause his last two albums were horrible dude needs to stay away from making the same "hood bangers" and maybe add some substance

    • the sad thing is

i'm a fan of the some of same rappers Khaled gets on his awful songs; but they always bring their C game when they get on a Khaled track

    • he's not shaking anything up...

he released a song a couple weeks back with that dumbass song "My Hood" or some shit...same wack ass beats, same old lyrics from the same rappers that always appear on his tracks.

  • J-hunt da Prodigy

Kanye & Drake that's what's up. Khaled should get J. Cole on a song, and have it actually make the album this time. Hoping he gets Nas too, and maybe Em if that ever came through
