Bruno Mars begins 2011 on a positive note after a monster 2010, as the singer has avoided a felony conviction for possession of cocaine.
According to TMZ, the “Nothin’ On You” singer has cut a deal with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office in which he receives a “deferred adjudication.” This means that if he’s able to stay out of trouble for a year, as well as perform community service, there will be no conviction on his record.
Bruno Mars will do 200 hours of community service, and ad the end of the year-long period, the felony will be dismissed.
The charges stem from an October 2010 incident in Las Vegas in which the Atlantic Records artist was found with powder cocaine.
